I think the fame got to his head.

Maybe not, but being gay and hearing things being described as gay in order to call them stupid is insensitive and incredibly annoying to hear. You may not be a homophobe for using it, but it definitely makes you sound ignorant.

Personally, when I hear it, I lose some respect for the individual if there were any to begin with. It's just disappointing and a turn-off--kind of like someone super attractive finally smiling, then seeing terrible, rotted teeth. The immediate realization just deflates you in that instant.

Bad analogy aside, it's not fun hearing it, plain and simple.

"You're so sensitive!"

"It's not like I hate gay people. I have tons of gay friends."

"It doesn't mean gay people are dumb. It's just used to say something's stupid/annoying."

"I bet you use retarded and don't make a fuss."

I've heard and cringed at it all.

I agree 100%. Whenever someone says something like "That's so gay!", I no longer want to associate myself with them. Just think of it like this: You are substituting the word gay for stupid. How about whenever someone acted stupid I said "That's so black!", how would people react then? You're being a huge asshole. Especially when you say it around gay people, that makes them feel like shit.

That's so raven.

(Sorry, I agree with 100% of what you say... I just couldn't stop myself.)

Can we call bans getting meme'd on.

These are some quality memes, right /b/retheren

memes

This isn't funny.

"You're not having fun the proper way, guys!"

Reddit's relevant as usual.

Pretty much the only Reddit-invented memes include two-word responses noting comments made in "legendary" reddit comment threads. "Cum box," "Broken hands," and "Tom Cruise" all have some callback meaning that only makes sense if you were there for that thread.

Otherwise, it's all 1+ year old memes driven into the ground. Feels, Doge, "Are you fucking sorry??!?"; Reddit is the place where subtlety and wit go to die.

Not surprised.

Brutal first page bans also. I almost feel like the word 'gay' has taken on an entire third meaning, aside from being happy, or homosexual. I rarely imagine that someone describing something as 'gay' harbors any contempt for gay people, or intends to discriminate. I don't even know if it seriously promotes any hatred, anymore, or if the term has really distanced itself from the sexual orientation, or state of bliss, it is associated with.

Welp, that's my 2 cents. "Not cool" serves the exact same purpose, whilst also being completely inoffensive.

Yeah when i saw it...never thought someone would get banned for it. I thought it was about that other word instead. It was just a crazy image cause you would never see that in a kids game. People get offended at so much nowadays. Wasn't like he was targeting anybody with that image.

During the time I worked at Kmart, this game was ALWAYS on shelves. We even had a fire at one point and had to remodel the whole store and get all new stock. But somehow cory made his way back into the house. I would display it prominently amongst our meager game selection.

Cory in the House may seem like your typical platformer but oh no, it is far from it. Cory is out to save the world from an evil scientist who has decided to turn Cory's bobble-head doll of the president, or as Cory likes to say 'the prez' into a destructive force capable of destroying destructive things such as the world which is destructible.

[...]

The enemies in Cory in the House are extremely varied and well thought out. Typical enemies include ninjas and Russian scientist, but later in the game Cory begins fighting against people he initially thought were his allies. Probably the most impressive boss was the giant robot Raven in which players had to run up to her feet and breath fireballs at her chest.

Sounds legit.

I used to watch the show, the female friend is very beautiful but and the situations were funny... how can you build a game around that premise seems like a very long stretch

Dude, check the reviews!

Wikipedia said:
At release Cory in the House was critically acclaimed, earning an overall score of 105% out of 100 on aggregate review website GameRankings.[5] IGN's Jack DeVries criticized the gameplay controls, calling them "smooth" and "slammin' to control", and also found joy in the game's included laugh track that goes along with the dialogue sequence jokes.[4] Review website Game Boyz also praised the game's gameplay, graphics, and sound, concluding that not even hardcore fans of the television series would hate it.Worlds best controls[3]

I thought the Cory in the House joke was an offshoot of IGN giving God Hand a 3.0, and people pointing out this game got the same score.
Or am I thinking of something else.

I believe that was "Imagine: Party Babies" and Cory in the House was a separate meme.
