My god, I love the environmental art and skyboxes on these two. I would love a game with huge open scenery and clouds like that.

I don't think Guerilla have enough talent to make a good RPG...
Unfornuately they make good/ok FPS, but a RPG is very different..

Guerilla is great at world building, which is probably THE most important thing. All they need is to hire some decent writers.

Great, now I get to be hideously disappointed when it's revealed and it isn't anything like this, because this looks absolutely fantastic. I would play the hell out of this game. It's got a unique art style, and I adore the emphasis on open blue sky and vibrant color. This is drool worthy stuff, and I doubt it has anything to do with any upcoming video game.

Well The Killzone games are very classic FPS in the gameplay and in The progression... Of course they are beautiful and have a good universe ( that Will help for The RPG ! )
And yes i think a good RPG is more difficult to do than a classic fps.

Destiny is sci-fi with a dose of fantasy. These images are more fantasy with a dose of sci-fi.
With that being said, highly doubtful this is GG's new IP. Would be cool though. Very few franchises, from what I can recall attempts to do something like this where it feels still high-fantasy medieval, but pulls in elements of sci-fi that feels almost steampunky/suited to that era.

I would argue that killzone has bad level design as well. And yes making a good RPGs is more difficult than a mediocre to bad fps series.
Art looks cool though.
It cant be worse than Skyrim. Lets see..

I think John Gonzalez is the only one that we know of (or at least think we know of). He's best known for being the creative design lead and lead writer for Fallout: New Vegas.
Perhaps all of these pics are from their actual project they're working on...

If this is real, maybe this is also partly why SSM's sci-fi shooter was canned? Rumour has it that game was similar to Destiny, and if this is Guerrilla's new game it certainly has similarities to Destiny as well. If Stig's game wasn't coming together too well, Sony might have been relatively okay with canning it because they had this as a back up.

I'm more inclined to buy the story that it was a huge money pit. If a game is good, regardless of its similarities to other games, it will do well.

lol, that had me thinking about Heavenly Sword. Red head female protagonists seem pretty popular though and how could anyone hate robo dinos?

I wonder if somebody should link this thread to GG's twitter. Show how decent support for this art style is. This may not be the new IP, but this work is fantastic and could definitely be used for a future title.
