if I cant skip them, I usually check online to see if there is a stinger...if not, I just get up and go do something else till they are done
People who actually contribute to the game, like programmers, artists, designers, and testers, absolutely deserve to be credited for their work. Phil in accounting, Doug in marketing, and Joe Bob the janitor probably don't.
You never leave during the credits in Japanese theaters!Damn aha I felt that way before about credits in movies and games, but then went to Japan. When Rorouni Kenshin finished and the credits started rolling we were the only gaijin to start talking, getting up, and leaving. Turned around and everyone else was in their seats waiting for the credits to finish.
People spent years making the game you just finished. The least you could do is give them 15 fucking minutes.
The least you could do is give them the $60 you gave them, which you gave them.

Actually, to quote your avatar Carver Descartes himself:
"No, the least we can do is nothing. Trust me, I've done the math."
You already paid for their product. And if you don't want to watch the credits, they can't really force you you know. You can just do something else, go to toilet, make some coffee, etc. Just because you can't skip it doesn't mean they can strap you in the chair and force you to watch it, clockwork orange style.People spent years making the game you just finished. I've gotten into the habit of letting credits roll until they're done, thinking I might miss some sort of bonus trophy or cutscene that I can't re-watch or gain again.
I let it roll and I just do something else until it's done.
He already paid for the game.
Also the WD credits are 21 minutes long.
This is why Smash Brothers is one of the best, not only is it a game, but you can speed it up to.
And I remember DMC3 at least having playable cutscenes to.
The thing with credits is after a good game I like to go through the credits and respect the people who took the time to work on the game. It's even better if there is something going on during the credits or the music is good/nice. It's bad when it's something like an AC or watchdog thing where the credits just last forever and have nothing really going for them. I've taken to actually skipping or turning off during ubi credits because everyone and their mothers dog are listed and it takes forever.

So let me guess this straight, games have super long credits and you want to skip them ... yet if games today arent online, with realistic physics, full of features, be translated into every language with multiple audio options and support many, have redefining graphics, many hours of gameplay, solo, co-op or online, they get lambasted on the internet.
Sit through the fucking credits, asshole.

The first thing I do when I see unskippable cutscenes is see if they advance when I alt-tab. If they do, I alt-tab and do something else, if they don't I see if there's a stinger or something after the credits, mute my PC and browse the internet from my phone.
I just don't really care about who made the game.

Give "them" 15 fucking minutes? No one even reads the credits. Or do you honestly believe that there's someone out there sifting through the credits, reading every name and thanking every one of them personally, memorizing each role they played in the development?
*wipes tear away*
You are my brother now.
If you don't want to watch the credits, just turn off the console.

I gave them money, and reaching the credits implies I spent my time enjoying their product. I couldn't care less about their names, like they couldn't care less about mine.People spent years making the game you just finished. The least you could do is give them 15 fucking minutes.

Yeah, this for me too. I rarely actually finish a game, so I usually sit through them in a post-gaming haze of victory. However, fuck unskippable credits.I generally let them roll while I sit back in satisfaction.
But, yes, they should be skippable and available on the menus.
