There's a weird phenomenon I've seen in this thread and the many like it popping up across the internet. One side voices their frustration with NIntendo, arguing the company needs to be held accountable for these potential design flaws, oversight, mismanagement, poor quality control, or something of that ilk. The other side reports no issues and are seemingly taken to task for being excusatory or complicit in some malicious scheme by Nintendo to dupe consumers.
There's certainly merit in advocating for Nintendo to take a stand and respond to what issues have popped up, but given the lack of widespread reporting, even in the enthusiast press, these very problems seem like normal (unacceptable) issues that plague any modern console launch.
Can't we have the co-existing thoughts that among the millions of Switches available at launch, there are some which don't function properly and that we need to make Nintendo aware of these issues and report how they respond to them, while *also* allowing those who have a functioning Switch to enjoy their console and have fun?
