Crysis 2: New Trailer - Be Strong [PC Requirements Announced]

nobody has seen the ps3 version yet, 360 mp demo runs with solid 30 fps and no tearing.
we have to wait and see.

Right, but you've also got annoying input lag, connection drops, and game lockups that you need to reboot the 360. Had four lockups in a row already. They better get polishing.

Not looking forward to paying the EA tax for this game but I'll get it anyway.
I'm waiting until the Steam summer sale for all the early 2011 games. I'm got plenty of backlog games until then.

I asked this in the other thread, but I thought I'd ask here too..

Anyway, why can't I download the demo now? Was it a limited time thing?

depends, do you wan't 60fps?
Then without even playing it I can say no

edit : to clarify, "maxing" a game is one thing, but being able to have framerates that are enjoyable at said visual-settings can be very demanding. Just look at regular crysis, only now do we have videocards that can give steady 60fps @ 1080p, max settings, AA, AF etc

ok, i'm happy with solid 30fps and without any AAs, since 1080p on a 17inch screen pretty much take cares of any jaggies.

if not, then dumb down to 720p :(

i played warhead at 720p and all settings to enthusiast, cept shadows to mainstream and i get steady 25-30fps on intense firefights.

That trailer spoils the twist in the intro. People who have avoided the beta footage should probably avoid that vid too.

"Ello, duckies!"
I could not resist watching the trailer and it was not to bad with the spoilers (epic music). However my eye glimpsed past one comment that spoiled the entire intro of the game, I think at least :(

So stay away from the comments section below the video if you do not want the entire story spoiled!

Did they spoil part of the story or was that already known?
Well its already known if you looked through the videos of the leaked game. So yeah its a spoiler, most of it you aren't supposed to find out until you are almost at the end of the game.

I'm a bit confused about the direction the story is going. (Minor early game spoilers from leaked beta videos + that trailer)

So this Hargreave guy, did he invent the nanosuit, or reverse engineer it from alien tech? That trailer indicates that he knew about the aliens (everyone's calling them the Ceph now but I have no idea when that started, never called them that in the first game. I'm assuming it's "Cephalopod", as in they are either some intelligent squids that predate humans or they are aliens that just resemble them), and was preparing to fight them. Doesn't really tell us much more than that though.

Almost seems like they're shifting gears from "delta force dudes with cool tech meet aliens" to corporate conspiracy mode. I'm also not too sure if I'm liking the Prophet dying and giving his suit to Alcatraz angle, especially since we are apparently trading in characters who spoke for a silent protagonist (or at least I've never seen Alcatraz speak in what I've seen. Does he ever speak?) Seems like a step back.
