Anyway, here's the PS3 / 360 version comparison with some contrast applied to the PS3 version. What's interesting is how much detail pops out when the contrast is adjusted. The PS3 version actually looks more detailed than the 360 version in certain areas. Also, notice that the PS3 version has a wall with a brick texture up ahead while the 360 version doesn't.

Anyone taking bets if the MP is still fucked come Tuesday?

Temporal AA (has a ghosting effect on objects that are moving) for close to medium range (look at the electric fans on Skyline for a clear example) over use of bloom and brightness in general combined with the lower resolution. Every one of those things feeds into the other, making it worse than it would be on its own.Jtrizzy said:So what causes that blurry look? Is it the aa or a combination of that and lower resolution?
Ozzykamikaze said:Wow, so they're pulling it before I could get into a match? Decision made, 20 dollars or less it is. Middle finger right back at ya.
Edit: The PS3 version looks better in those comparison shots. Doesn't say much for frame-rate though I suppose.
Just curious, but are the other demos on the other systems still available? As far as I know, the PC demo is still working, and it releases the same day. For the PS3 demo to shutdown 2 days after release is fucking ridiculous. You're defending something that doesn't make sense.KingOfKong said:it sounds to me more like you need to take off your tinfoil hat and stop being such a conspiracy theorist. The game is released in a few days, its not like they were going to have the multiplayer demo live until release.

These issues has been happening since the PC demo, but instead of having a choice to pick the best room/server (by looking at the ping), PS3 users are forced into random matchmaking rooms not best for their connections. 2 weeks later, and the demo is more broken than on 360 and PC. Not only that, but theres just a few days left to make the decision to buy the game day 1. I'd be just as pissed but at least I had my chance to play on PC, not everyone else is as fortunate.

Im just going to assume you're drunk out your fucking mind or a employee. Move on to other games? No, im interested in this one, im just fucking not happy with the way it's being handled by the very same guys who created it. Move on from this thread if the whining is touching your inner feelings.KingOfKong said:blah blah blah, move on dude. there are plenty of games out there. stop crying about this one. to answer your other question from before, yes the other demos are over as well.

Haze multiplayer was complete and utter shit and I don't know how the hell it came from the same studio that made the fuck awesome Timesplitters games....Future Perfect is still on my top 10 list of all time. Maybe we are looking at two different pics but the 360 version looks better to me in in all of those areas.nib95 said:Based on that shot the PS3 version does a number of things better. Better lighting (see the pipes), better textures, softer shadows and better AF. But that is only one shot.
weekend_warrior said:Just played about 15 minutes of the demo. Wow. Just wow. One of the single worst FPS's I've ever played. You could tell me this was a $15 budget game and I'd be embarrassed by it.
- Horrible muddied graphics.
- Generic, why even bother sound.
- Horrible hot boxes and awful gunplay.
- Tiny, boring maps.
I had more fun with the demo of Modern Combat Domination.

Dude you have no idea WTF u are talking about. The demo was broken and didn't work for the vast majority of people. They pulled it for this reason. Cry-Tom said:Thank you for your interest in the PlayStation 3 version of the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo. Though many gamers have had a great experience playing the demo, we are aware that others have been experiencing server connection delays. Weve identified the root cause and have decided to close the PS3 demo in the next 24 hours to ensure all issues are resolved when the game launches next week. Our priority is to ensure that the final product is flawless at launch.

Abandoning the sinking ship before it's even released retail?
Correction: The Crysis 2 'play with the devs' event we mentioned on PlayStation.Blog isn't happening any more. Sorry for any confusion.
It's as if it was different times of the day. I am pretty sure the lighting changes as the match progresses on the PC version.Apex said:
