So I should have my two Titans by Friday, hopefully that's enough to pummel this sucker into the ground.
oh no you didn't

Why not 3? Are you trying to hit a specific FPS?

I wouldn't be surprised if you still can't get 60fps maxed out. It's Crytek we're talking about, high end PCs today will still get considerably frequent dips in Crysis 1, and it won't look nearly as good as 3 in whatever your 60fps settings would be.
Because I don't like Nvidia's scaling over 2 GPUs and can't justify the cost and the frame latency added above 2 GPUs might be a bit too much. ( Plus I'd have to upgrade my PSU ).
And I'm trying to hit 60.
I'm sure I don't know what I am doing, but I got 70+ (not consistent) with 670 SLI. I see issues when turning quickly, it went from 70+ to 20, its not very consistent.
Good luck, God Speed!
They couldn't even maintain a steady 60 in the opening level with Tri-SLI because then a CPU bottleneck just kicks in. I'm sure I can maintain a steady 60 throughout the game but the opening level is just an unoptimized pile of cack.
So I'm finishing up building a rig. I wasn't really going to use it for gaming but what kind of settings can I expect with a
i5 3570k
GTX 670
16GB RAM
?
So best thing is to play the opening sequence at max settings and screw framerate and then past that you start tweaking?
I learned my multi-gpu lesson with dual R6950's Never again will i own a Xfire/SLI setup. Microstutter, poorly optimized drivers...
I will max C3 at 2560x1440 in 2 years when there is a single gpu capable of pushing the pixels.
You can't compare last-gen shitty CF to new generation of multi-GPU setups. Do your homework.
Basically everything maxed with a lesser version of AA enabled will yield you 50-60fps+ @ 1080p.
My 690 has exhibited 0 microstutter issues and I came from a 6970 CF setup.

I'm with Sethos/b0ss on this one.I said the same thing when i purchased my 6950's
Truth was, i lied, i didn't want to see the micro-stuttering. But it was there.

I used to have a noticeable amount of stutter when I had two 5870s, but it just doesn't exist with my 7970s.

In my experience VRAM usage was a much greater cause for stutter than FPS.Could that be a result of just getting better frames though? Have you tried pushing your 7970CF setup to a point where it's getting the same average FPS as your 5870s?
In my experience, there's always a threshold where microstutter becomes apparent, and can depend on the game.
Just a shame that most people will never really try it but instead cling on to past experiences and link to a handful of people who have some issues that in some cases aren't even micro-stutter related (Vram limit). Their loss I guess.
In my experience VRAM usage was a much greater cause for stutter than FPS.
If I crank everything in Crysis 3, for example, so that my FPS is about 30 I notice no stuttering whatsoever. The difference in fluidity between one card and two cards is non existent.
Yea, those people are sooooooooooooooooo dumb. Everyone knows 12gig of Vram spread across three 670's just isn't enough. Stupid peons...
In all seriousness though, i am interested to see how your experiment pans out. Looking forward to seeing the numbers.
Nope.
Show me the receipts
You do know Vram isn't combined in CF / SLI. 3 x 2GB cards means you have 2GB available.
I have almost identical build (3570K+GTX 670 + 16GB RAM) to that guy and well I get similar. Stays between 50-60 for the most. Dips to just under when there is lots of explosions and stuff. eg here. There were explosions going on and it dipped. http://www.abload.de/img/crysis32013-02-1921-1skd9s.png but just normally running around fighting its good. http://www.abload.de/img/crysis32013-02-1921-02lcu5.png http://www.abload.de/img/crysis32013-02-1921-0eufuj.png Settings. http://www.abload.de/img/crysis32013-02-1921-0jkcv7.png

You know that i'm referring to 3 x 4GB cards... right.
I take it you didn't read my last link, and just opted to poke fun at it?
So the argument boils down to 4Gb vs the 6GB in your soon to be Titans
What's the matter with you? That was provided as an example because you apparently had no idea how SLI Vram works, I haven't even clicked your fucking links.
Has MaLDo released a CFG for the retail game or does the one from the beta still work (Not sure if any of the settings are different for retail game)

I am running everything on Very High at 1920x1080 with 2 GTX 680 SC Signatures at stock with only Shadows turned down to High and get consistent 60FPS in most areas with the occasional slowdown to 50-55 but nothing jarring like down to 30
Game is fine...a little sluggish in parts put nothing game breaking. I think another driver will solve the slowdown areas
for AA I am using the SMAA MGPU 2X setting and it looks friggin amazing!!!!
What can we expect on a 4ghz 2500k and GTX570? 1080p, high with no AA at 60fps possible?

Question, how does SMAA compare to MSAA in the game? At 1080p would 2xSMAA suffice or does it looke alot better with say 4xMSAA or 2XMSAA?
I will have 2x gtx680 4gb cards, I am hoping to get 60fps at 1080p, I am ok not running blur and shadows on very high.
