I've modified the exe, but I don't know if I will have legal problems uploading it. I've unlocked 'bind' and 'exec' commads too, so now I have binded keys for hud_hide and r_drawnearfov.
you should definitely upload it now

I would be the most interested in unlocked t_scale command. I want to make video of medium settings in 1080p from different parts of the game and it would be much better with slow motion in some those parts, especially for particles showcase![]()
Maldo mentions in the readme of his C2 mod an unlocked exe as well, but he's never posted it AFAIK :\ I'd love to get my hands on it! And hell, C2 is old enough, for it to be okay.
I'm using modified C2 exe for over 1 year. But his utility is limited if you use my mod, because you can modify all cvars (locked cvars too) editing CVarGroups files into the mod.
What if one doesn't (always) want to use your mod?I mean, it can't hurt to have this modified binary anyway!
Guys I have a 120hz monitor and gtx 580 tri sli and my frame rate goes under 50 sometimes
Why is this happening?
I have latest drivers
Antialising FXAA
AF 16X
Very High
Motion Blur disabled
Come on, really? The game is demanding. Drop your settings (particularly the shaders setting).Guys I have a 120hz monitor and gtx 580 tri sli and my frame rate goes under 50 sometimes

I feel like the GeForce Experience is designed for people who don't traditionally understand or mess with settings. I've tried using it and it always suggests maxing out most settings or enabling settings which ultimately result in performance lower than what I would have achieved on my own.seriously get the geforce experience app and see what it suggests, turning down 1-2 options to high might prevent those drops

There doesn't happen to be any cvars to make the stupidly massive gun models normal size this time around, is there?

Hate to pester the thread again, but is there any way to disable chromatic aberration through the system.cfg or autoexec.cfg? Tried using the tool posted on the last page but that turned my 30+fps into 20 fps and I wouldnt know right now what to turn off or turn down to raise the fps. Besides I prefer to stay as close to how the game design was intended for my first playthrough.
The water and toads.
Anyone saw a toad somewhere?
plenty, but none of them are tesselated :/
Has anyone played around with that configurator? Not sure what to set things to.
I have a Phenom X4 955 Black Edition
Radeon HD 7970
8GB RAM
We were lied to about the toads, that constitutes high treason![]()
F that! I demand a Tesselated Toad patch!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:lol
Which guns are too huge? You could try upping the FOV to see more?
Everything max except shader to high and particle to high @ 1080p and you should be 30-60fps. I'd use a framerate limiter and lock it to 30fps.
Crysis 1 was fine. But with Crysis 2 and this one they decided to make the guns huge. For some reason guns need to take up the entire bottom-right quarter of the screen now and it just makes me feel claustrophobic and half-blind.
Someone only just made a mod for Crysis 2 in the past year or so to fix it. drawnearfov didn't work in that game, don't have much hope for 3 including it

Whoa that alone makes me want to replay Crysis 2, any idea where I can find this mod?![]()
#crysis3 PC patch coming today. Release notes coming soon!
I sure hope they fix the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED error that keeps me from playing the game more than 20 minutes at a time. I kept thinking my card was overheating, but right after getting this error I would run FURMARK for 15 minutes at 1080p no probem.
Set resolution to 1080p, in-game vsync off, adaptive vsync activated in nvidia inspector, 4x msaa, textures high, advanced graphics all on high, 16x af, and motion blur off. Quit the game and create autoexec.cfg in the root folder of the game, using the settings that Zeth supplied:
This configuration solved all performance issues for me.
Specs: i5-3570k, 8 GB RAM, Geforce 580 gtx sli, win 7 64 bit.

It's an odd thing. Could it be a matter of viewing distances? That tends to happen when a PC game goes to consoles. Battlefield for example, fist small gun models, then with the console focused Bad Comany the gun modles turn huge, then in the PC focused BF3 they go small again. Kinda funny
