Crytek 'open' to bringing Ryse to PS4

Isn't Beyond 2 Souls supposedly coming to the PS4 in a form of a remaster?
Zing!

But seriously, the salt is strong in this thread. It's broadening the variety of a console with an ex-exclusive game, just because it's not what a certain person likes doesn't mean it's shit.

Oh dear

Ryse isn't bad, guys.

Truth. If you stop expecting it to be combo heavy like DMC and enjoy it on its own merits, it's a very fun game (simplistic, but very fun).

I like it more than God of War, so hopefully it comes to PS4 so more people have a chance to play it.

Say what? I assumed they had some exclusive console agreement with Microsoft.

Microsoft. Hard exclusives by third parties.

Pick one.

Give it six more months and the only Xbox One exclusives from the launch period which will remain exclusives are Zumba Fitness and Fighters Uncaged.

Eh at least it's better than Bloodborne, all I saw was pitch black graphics with dude swinging sword.

Why not? Do it Crytek, PS4 only owners are in for a graphical treat

Say what? I assumed they had some "timed" exclusive console agreement with Microsoft.

They kept the IP rights for themselves, so once they were contractually free from MS, they could do whatever they want with the IP. I believe the same could be said for Dead Rising 3, at least from what CBOAT said waaay back in the day.

It would probably run at 1080p but I doubt we'd see any real upgrades. The PC version only really improves on LOD, resolution, and frame-rate. Aside from image quality and performance the XO version looks extremely similar to the PC on its highest detail settings. Now image quality makes a big difference, no doubt, but it's not like anything major was changed asset wise. Would still be interesting, though.

You could argue that the tools for PS4 improved and offer better performance than when Ryse was released on X1, and hence the visual differences between each version widened... but that won't stop the discussions :p

Damn, why are people so dismissive? There have been plenty of people that loved the game on Xbox and PC, so isn't there a chance that some people may love it on PS4? I just don't get what the point of saying not to bring it to PS4. Why the hell not?

Gaf gonna Gaf. Pretty sad actually as it is an enjoyable campaign.

Crytek said:
We're desperate for money and we continually make bad business and game design choices.
....is what they should have said. I'm predicting a free to play iOS version by the end of the year.

By the time that actually happened Sony would have possibly already announced another God of War. Would be too late by that point lol. Unless they decided to make a sequel and it went multiplat.

Besides Sony has QD, the superior QTE game makers. :p

God of War PS4, can you imagine how that would look?

Something about being second hand citizens and getting sloppy seconds yadda yadda...

Shrug, I still enjoyed Star Ocean, Bioshock, and Mass Effect from last gen so.... (not saying this is as good as any of those) I probably won't bite on this one, but that "Ori" game looked promising...

PS4 has Knack, the Mario and Ryse killer.

Does Ryse want to die again? Ryse 2: Die Harder. Is that what it's come to? Didn't kill you enough the first time? Really?

This first page of this thread is both sad and hilarious.

I liked this game enough to double dip (full price first time, at a discount second time). I'd love to see a sequel too.

The level of salt is strong for sure in this thread.

Why you wouldn't want a game to come to PS4 itself is filled with sodium & nonsense.

Play the game & judge for yourself.

Personally, I found it better than the reviews gave it & quite fun to play. A solid base for a better sequel.

Not to mention one of the better looking "next-gen" games to date. Could even look better on a PS4.

A friend gave this game to me for free on xbone and I felt ripped off.

I mean, Crytek might as well put it out but the gameplay is the most mind-numbing, insulting thing ever, even on harder difficulties. Would be better off being an interactive movie, quantic dream style. At least then we wouldn't have to go through waves and waves of the same enemies that have the same attack pattern.

Sucks to see how low Crytek have fallen, and I enjoyed all the Crysis games.

I think Ryse was plagued with a problem. The initial reveal gave people an impression of how it played and people ran with it. Its kinda shameful to see all these people making judgments on this game when all they did was have some negative impressions to videos. You can obviously make a judgment about it but at least consider that there are people who have played it and liked it. I don't think its an amazing game but it is a solid game. Honestly, it may have been the best launch title on both platforms. Certainly worth a play through. Just play on hard.
