CYBERPUNK 2077 |OT2| The Last Samurai [>56K Warning_]

Neither, just play the game. Ammo is all over the place.

I've definitely been playing the game, dude, I recently sat down and crafted ammo for my rifle because I ran completely out. For weapons I'm 100% specc'd for assault so using my other weapons can be a detriment. Maybe there's enough ammo in the game on normal? I'm playing on hard

There's usually a lot of ammo boxes around every mission area.

It also helps to pick up weapons and deconstruct them later.

Yeah, I know there are... what is with the garbage advice people are giving in this thread? Stop condescending to me like I just started playing the game, holy crap.

Just finished it. Will gather some thoughts and write a mini review here.

But all in all, not really great impressions.

Wow fuck you dude, you asked a question so I gave an answer.

If you don't want stupid answers, don't ask stupid questions.

I didn't ask a question, actually. Well, I did in the prior post which was what is cheaper... buying ammo or crafting it, no one has answered that, I've gotten two condescending posts in a row about how much ammo is in containers around the game like I haven't figured that out.

COME AT ME BRO

This is serious business.

Next you'll tell me you like Judy more than Panam. I won't stand for this shit. 1v1 me on Dust breh

I'm just realizing this isn't a good thread for advice, most my questions go unanswered or people respond with an answer I wasn't looking for. Maybe the idea they're being condescending is a stretch but whatever, it comes across that way when someone tells me about something so basic and in my face, especially after I explained that I'm 100% specc'd into a weapon's tree, like do you really think someone that far in hasn't noticed there are ammo boxes? Also, he mentions deconstructing weapons... okay now I'm going to sound like a possible noob to the game but deconstructing weapons gives you ammo? I'm not sure about that one.

Oh and yeah, Judy > Panam.

Wait, I thought you hated the game? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else?
Yes, I did. I hated that it ran like crap on PS4 Pro and I hated the devs for lying about the performance on consoles (or hiding it). I had many bad things to say about this game and the devs. You can check my post history for that. I'm not going to deny it.

It's until i started playing it (despite the horrible performance on Pro) and only then did I notice how much fun it is. The story on its own just blows my mind. I'm really loving it and it's the reason why I decided to go with PC instead of waiting for a PS5.

I'm really excited to build a PC as well. Like really hyped.

EDIT: And may I add that i hated the game because I didnt play much of it as I was just so pissed off with CDPR and how horribly it was running on current gen consoles. So really I didn't know all these systems in place or the different builds, weapons and the awesome story.

I hope they add a feature to hide any clothing slot.

Never mind hiding clothing slots. They should add the ability to change the look of your clothing. So If i pick up a legendary pants with +60 armor on it, i should be able to transfer that stat to any other pants in my inventory.

This way you can mix/match items of clothing to go for a specific look.

In addition to this, there should be option to change clothing material type. If i want a gold jacket with LED's running down the side, this should be possible. Or carbon fibre look pants with with chrome inserts. There should also be option to add different materials to your character's body the same way you would to your clothing.

IMO there is a lot to build on in this game. I hope the developers start adding these customization options.

Yeah, this game desperately needs a transmog option for clothing. It’s not too bad since it’s first person, but if it was third person it would really suck. But there’s something else that really bothers me is that it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, even if you’re wearing something with gloves, if you look down at your hands then you have your sleeves rolled up and bare hands.

Note for anyone having issues with some of the "complete 100% in X district..." trophies.

One side hustle was not poping up for me even after driving around forever. Turned out I had to go home and sleep in a bed for some of the open work stuff to reset. Then I was able to see and clear the final mission. And the trophy popped up immediately!

Now I just have to finish leveling up my handguns skill the final stretch from 19-20 and do the damn Christmas tree attack trophy then Platinum will be secured!

This took me so many tries to get right without killing anyone, I should have recorded all the attempts, some are ridiculous, like I put down an unconscious body and it drops through the floor and DIES on me... fucking ridiculous... finally get it and then... I didn't get rewarded? It at least didn't tell me what the reward was.

I was able to do this first try but all I used was the hack System reset (which I noticed yiou didnt have) and did this by taking out only two or three key enemies using the cameras. System reset basically makes them unconscious but they never wake up and dont count as a kill. You can even loot their body. You cant put it in a container though or it counts as a death for some reason. System reset costs a lot of ram but again, I am specializing in nethacking so this wasnt an issue.
as i was exploring found this guarded big mansion , anyone knows whos this ? i jumped from van with double jump , shot every guard and looted all house, but man its expencive , no clue whos that is

gues then its mine now.. loving a dream
I totally enjoyed finding this place outside of any quest. I was able to clear it out using stealth. I killed almost everyone but the gardeners as it was obviously an Araska exec that lived there, but just the security goons at home kinda thing. Keep exploring nearby! THere are other rich folks who are more story oriented that live on the east hillside!!!
Is it possible to get rid of that jerking that happens after a while of zooming / ADS with sniper rifles?
If you mean the jankiness of a charged up scoped tech rifle the asnwer is YES. I havent had any problesm with my sniper gameplay since switching to a better instrument at level 20. Just use a sniper like the SPT GRAD instead and you will love the difference. No charging, very little sway using the rather large green MK scope, just head splattering goodness at the touch of the trigger. Only negative isthe reload time is slow so dont expect to go into close combat...it is a ranged sniper weapon for a reason.

LOL, I think the only reason you got the answer you did is that most simply arent runnin out of ammo for whatever reason and cant empathsize with your situation. You could be on hard difficulty where most are on normal? I am a sniper hacking specialist for example so i never run out... I only use one bullet per headshot. Early game though I did craft a few specific ammos and it was almost like it was free....so to answer your question......CRAFT. Ill tread lightly here as you are sensitive to patronization, but you did say above that you werent sure junk could be made into ammo? Yes, it can, and its therefore sort of free (although keep in mind the best way to make money early on is to craft items using this method and selling them so so components are like GOLD.) Thankfully ammo costs very little in the way of components.

Crafting is the best as you can do it anytime and freeze time even in the middle of a gun battle...shops cost too much and and you cant refill on the fly. You will get enough components to craft at any time by breaking down junk...hence the junk comments. Collect all junk->components->Ammo. I dont think youneed any perks in crafting to break down junk and make ammo with the components you get, minimum stats will do.

I feel you with the response time, and most of the time flat out missing of questions, but the thread is moving pretty fast so I dont blame others too much...Ill ask again here:

One poster said he got the 10k from Merediths cyber chip through hacking...no matter how may times I tried (and successfully hacked the chip) I couldnt get the $$$ part as it said that was blockd by militech. Now I just have the card in my junk. Obvioulsy there is no way to get the money now right? Did the poster actually get the 10k or was he trolling?

edit: I looked it up myself...seems like I may have screwed something up, either I did it too early or didnt wait for the transfer animation to finish DESPITE that it said blocked by militech or whtever:

Hour many hours do you have in? I thought ammo would be scare for the first few hours after playing, but then I continued and haven’t needed to buy or craft ammo (50 hours in now on very hard).

Crafting ammo is the best option as it is cheap and also gives you exp. I also have to occasionally stop and craft a bunch of ammo for my pistol. Enemies take a lot of hits on Very Hard difficulty.

I'm on hard yes. It's definitely not free because the components you craft with cost money, I was wondering if anyone figured out what's cheaper, the components to craft the ammo or just buying the ammo. Obviously if you don't mind swapping to your less preferred weapon you can just do neither. No, someone said to dismantle guns to make ammo, and while yes, any green components go into crafting ammo it totally ruins the point of my question which is what's more economical, destroying a 100-500 dollar gun to get some ammo from the components is not exactly fiscally responsible which isn't WHOLLY important but for people who like to min max games it can be worth noting (especially since I want to get dumb achievements like buying all cars).

Trying to do Sinnerman since people seem to like it... I've failed twice now due to the driving mechanics. One time I took a corner rough and somehow ended up wedged between a guardrail and a perimeter fence and recreated Austin Powers trying to get out. The streets are relatively dead right until this mission (still see cars de-spawn right in front of me during it)

Maybe this has been posted already but just in case:

🔥EZ Optimizer for Cyberpunk 2077! Boost FPS/Performance to play even on low-end PC. Nvidia/AMD/Intel - YouTube

CyberPunk EZ Optimizer V1.0 by CodeZ1LLa (mediafire.com)

Had some good results on my GTX1080 configuration @1440p with "Balance mode", framerate is definitely a lot higher. But some effects like SSR might've been toned down a bit, IDK, I need to look a little closer.

Anyway, if you're already tweaking the ini files like a champ then this will not make a difference for you.

I havent done the math on the components vs. paying at a shop. Yes you are right that if indeed the components you use are more expensive that you should just buy a crap tonne of ammo at a shop so you dont run out.Although my suspicion is that the crafting route is easier, and less expensive perhaps the developers offset the ease of use by making shop ammo less? Usually its the shops that are the worst...but I dont know for sure.

I think this would be something you as a min/maxer could help us all with though as we simpy havent had to worry as most of us dont run out?

omg, third try with Sinnerman, truck gets stuck on a garbage can (piece of debris i drove through to avoid a car accident the car I'm chasing caused) WTF, I didn't hate the driving in this game until this mission, and I can't even save scum it, I need to sit through the damn intro every time

So the "Blood Pump" is pretty much broken atm? And I got a legendary one, which is kinna useless until God knows when or which update it'll get patched.

Is there a way to mass craft? I need high tier components and manually holding the a button over and over is getting old.

Yeah, dont recall the details, but in one mission you can get an art item from the moon. Its priced 4k. You can just sell it on a machine, exit, reenter and rebuyit for 5 bucks. Just clean the avail 20k on the machine, advance 24hs on time and repeat. You can easily make a million or so in 20 mins.

Money isn’t an issue. I want to level my crafting while I do it. I just don’t want to wait so long to craft each component.

For me at least, this is one of those rare games that I actually like more the longer I play it. Just finished the parade mission and it's definitely climbing higher on my personal game of the year list. It's definitely not without its faults, but this is a pretty damn fantastic game.

Hacking is so awesome, now that I have invested in it. I can go into an area and without firing a shot, wipe out all enemies by shocking them, or having them shoot each other or themselves. It is nothing like the usual shoot them up or stealth games.

And without paying for a car, I have so many cars from quests.

There's no reason there couldn't have just been a vanity tab for each clothing slot. Hopefully a tile vanity slot that is invisible.

Very least, we need:
  • a plastic surgeon/barber/tattoo artist with wider selections.
  • Recolor options for cars, clothes, weapons
  • Apartment stuff/mansion open up
  • Garage for viewing or customizing our vehicles
  • NG+
  • difficulty retooling/balancing?
  • Vanity slots
  • Crafting retooling/balancing?
I'd leave the DLC for new cyberware upgrades, interiors/missions, level cap increase. Hopefully a hover car of some kind one day.

Finished it last night. Four endings, over 100 hours logged and whew.....easily, EASILY my game of the year. My thoughts are all over the place and maybe because of this moment in my life right now but this game affected me on a multitude of levels no other AAA game has ever come close to doing. Excited to go back and finally read ending spoilers. Star ending as my Fem V's canon ending....just so fitting and beautiful.

Despite the bugs and some of the edge lord stuff the story of this game has a real heart to it. Some of the characters are really good.

That's what I love about it and where I think a lot of the reviews and critics of the game's story got it completely wrong. It's bursting at the seams with heart. They dismissed it as not "getting cyberpunk," "lol CDPR is a corpuhrashyun didn't u kno?" and as written for horny teenagers. If that is what they took from the story, they really need to stop all forms of critique as they're cleary not qualified to be a critic of anything above a microwaveable meal.

I love that the world is edge lord to the max and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's excessive, it's loud, it's arrogant, it's decadent, it's sexist, it's shallow, it's hollow, it's plastic, it's fake, it's hopeless, it's depressing and it's especially cruel. High tech, low life as they say. But the story isn't about the world or any lofty statements about technology and humanity intertwining. It's about the people and you.

You are surrounded by multi-dimensional characters and go on
an emotional rollercoaster ride with them. They're real and they're the only ones who matter to V. A lot of players and reviews against the game missed all the quiet, introspective and intimate moments. If they weren't interested in these moments, why the hell were they playing a CDPR game in the first place? It's like me playing a Kojima or Naughty Dog game and complaining about all the cutscenes.

Pick a gear that you like and invest in it. Upgrade it. I'm playing with the same yellow Samurai jacket and upgrade it with every level that I get. Everything else that I find is always crap compared to it.

PRO TIP: Armadillo body armor mod is so overpowered in this game. I installed it in every clothing slot and I'm immune to gun fire. Even the strongest enemies with skulls above their heads can't do shit to me.

You can craft it ot buy it in clothing stores. If you have a perk that gives you a chance of crafting rare items, even better.

Just love Panam.
But Jesus, Judy is awesome as well. Once next gen patch arrives. ill replay with a female to follow Judys path.
Similar boat bud, will do a male corpo playthrough to get at Panam, but really enjoying Judy's drunk text messages as Nomad female.
I still don't like the half-shaved head and tattoos, but the way she acts is just adorkable.

Crafting is the way to go. For 6 common crafting components you get 48 rounds. Just bear in mind that you can have only up to 700 rounds of rifle ammo in your inventory. So don't craft more or it's going to waste.

You get common crafting components from disassembling all common items so you should have thousands of them.

One thing that's really weird is that they don't use what is already in the game, save some specific circumstances:
- for driving around city, why not use road markers that you see in the races?
- set a custom key for inspecting weapons ( you see this automatically when you first time equip new weapon)
- sitting in chairs, eat and drink animations when you order food or drink
- sit in ripperdoc chair, screen fades to black ( when you install/remove cyberware at ripperdoc)

For real. I don't think I've ever come close to running out of ammo for any of my guns. I loot a lot (like, EVERYTHING - ashtrays, playing cards, etc.), to be sure, but that's the sort of game it is, imo. If he's not looting enough to keep stocked up on ammo, then he's probably missing out on all kinds of other goodies.
Dunno man, like I tend to go to each body and mash square to pick up stuff, but I'm trying to be more picky now and not pick up everything (common 140dps pistols worth picking up?)
Not sure what I can miss, I even pick up those shards (that I honestly don't have the patience to read)

It’s funny how people want something that was created at a very specific moment in history - end of 80s, beginning of 90s - to be changed completely to today’s sensibilities. People are much more concerned about ‘inclusion’ topics than the fact in Cyberpunk’s world we destroyed the planet and everyone is miserable and just trying to get by.

I've noticed that if you are using only a single type of weapon(e.g. sniper rifles), the game intentionally dries up on that type of ammo. It seems to be part of the code as a means to force the player to experiment more. I had that happen to me for a while when I was fond of exclusively sniping out groups of thugs from a distance.
