looks awesome!! so excited

i hope they take it easy on the weird mystical stuff they kept hinting about it in season 1... not interested in that kinda astuff

Really hope they improve over the 1st season. I thought season 1 started out good, but the villain never accomplished anything (literally every choice Fisk did was a fuck-up that helped him get captured) and they re-used soooo many lines of dialogue. From the trailer, it looks like they are still going with the whole confessional thing. That whole aspect was beaten to death throughout the first season, so they should really bring it up once atmost this time around - there are more intelligent ways to show that Daredevil feels guilty without him spelling it out for us by talking to some priest every couple of episodes.

Matt's faith is pretty important to his character. What's the point of taking that away from him?

The guy is obsessed with Avenging his family, he's probably just operating out of some storage unit or some shit when is he gonna have time to screen print a T-shirt for himself

pfft could just be wearing some tshirt with a skull he already owned :(

Didn't say they should. But, having the same conversation over and over is just bad writing

In real life, sometimes people need reminders. Confirmation that they're doing the right things when doubt and fear creep in. To me, the continuing conversation with his priest is a reminder that he's trying to stay grounded and in tune with his soul. Especially when Punisher challenges his notions of right and justice.

Except this is the exact "challenge" that he dealt with the entire first season on whether or not to kill Fisk. It would be pretty obnoxious for them to just repeat it again when the first season was especially ham-fisted. How about we get some actual character growth instead? Or at least a semi-intelligent conversation on morality other than "killing is bad, mm'kay".

Oh shit! It looks good. Makes it seem like Punisher will be the villain, if that's the case we know how it's going to end. Punisher ain't going to jail or dying. He's a character with his own leading series, they won't axe him.

A part 2 trailer too? Shit is mad hype.

This poster though. Didn't even notice the Punisher Skull.

He's going to jail. How else you going to have an awesome prison break to start his own series?

Holy shit. Holy shit. The punisher legit just gave me chills in that trailer. After the last two punisher movies (3) I wasn't sure I gave a shit about the character from my childhood anymore but I was wrong. I'm so sorry frank, I was wrong.

Trailer part two coming soon. Lmao. bizarre. The trailer music and the children's book use were super cheesy. Some other parts were OK. I thought s1 was alright on the whole so I hope this will be better than it looks from the trailer. I guess Elektra and Punisher are the main antagonists of the season? Do we know if Bullseye is happening this season?

Still shocked they killed off Ben since he's so integral to the DD comics.

I'm so excited for this, even more so than Batman v Superman since I have low expectations for that. I have pretty high expectations for DD but only cause I'm confident they could pull off amazing things.

One thing though. Punisher goes after badguys, Daredevil goes after badguys. Why is Daredevil going after him?

Well, because he's a mass murderer for one. He's judge, jury and executioner. Something DD kind of is, but he doesn't leave a trail of bodies behind. DD sees him as another criminal.

Daredevil isn't exactly Batman. He's not against killing, he just generally doesn't do it, preferring to take the baddies in. Punisher will kill a guy for being associated with drug dealers. In the trailer, it appears Frank is tearing up the city in his hunt for somebody and this version of Daredevil is all about protecting his slice of NYC. There is a reason why Frank doesn't just kill him when he has the chance. They're not enemies, but they're not exactly allies.*

*all of the above can change depending on who is currently writing either books, but generally speaking this is how it is.

Trailer sold me on Shane as Punisher; always thought the character worked better an an antagonist than a protagonist. Still, looking forward to the next trailer more- Punisher is all well and good, but it's The Hand and the mysticism that has me really excited this go around.

...If throwing the gun could knock his aim off, why couldn't a gunshot to his protected areas?

There's no firing pin in the gun anyway, Frank is bluffing him.

Great trailer. Not as good as season 1's but great nonetheless. I'm secretly hoping they are hiding a bad guy that will start to get shown midway throughout the season instead of it being Punisher vs Daredevil. The worst thing they can do is Daredevil convincing Punisher to not kill the person who killed his family. The cringe will be at an all time high if that's the case.

"You know you're one bad day from being me."

Getting blinded by acid doesn't count though.

Your father being murdered in an alley doesn't count though.

So really, a more accurate line would be "you know you're like another really really bad day from being me."

It's okay, Frank doesn't know. We the audience do though, so it's prbly better not to use that line.

Looks absolutely fantastic. I'm really liking Bernthal based on the trailer.I hope he stays completely black and white morally throughout the series. The Punisher should always stay that way.

Any rubber band will snap when stretched far enough.

Really intense trailer, love it. I also didn't realize this was coming out so soon.

Between Batman vs Supes, Captain America vs Iron Man, and now Daredevil vs Punisher, this year has made me realize just how much I enjoy watching heroes fight with each other.
it's probs because typical movie villains are never established well enough for me to feel as invested
