I'm not sure about Bloodborne gameplay for this, let Dark Souls be Dark Souls, I say. I just want DS1 movement back.
Ewww please no. God damn DS1's rolling was atrocious. Why would you ever want that back?

You mean Dark Souls 2's rolling was atrocious. Dark 1 and Bloodborne had practically the same rolling.
There's no excuse for slow, clunky combat after Bloodborne. In fact, the combat in Bloodborne is at least as deep and methodical as the Souls series.
Dark Souls would really be better off with faster combat I'd say. Of course it can have much more variety in play styles, but I can't go back to this slow combat style.

Who the hell used that god awful roll in Bloodborne when you have the dashes? DS2 rolling on an axis to locked on target is so much better it's not even funny. It is from a design aspect superior in every single way and it's more than likely going to return.

DS2 just freed you from cardinal rolling while locked. in DS1 you could still free roll when not locked on, which is how you PVP in that game. Taking out the cardinal shit just makes the game feel better and I was a little bummed bloodborne had the cardinal rolls again.
The dash doesn't travel as quickly as the roll and it is a cardinal directions only maneuver. the roll is still better in many ways in BB.

I think everyone who played Bloodborne used rolling? It's not like every attack could be dodged with a dash move.
I don't know what you mean by "realistic", but I don't think it's desirable.
Dark Souls is characterized by its more methodical approach to combat. But since its also characterized by variety I guess very low-weight dex-based melee combat could take some inspiration from it. But it still needs to remain only an option generally on par with the many other ways to approach combat.
Thank goodness it is coming to PC. Bloodborne is a great game, but it is a huge graphical downgrade from the DS PC versions.
Agreed 100%.
Games should first max out their IQ (AA, AF), resolution and frame rate to the maximum and only THEN worry about poly-count, collision, hair and cloth physics, lighting, virtual bones and muscle count, map sizes, loading requirements and other small details.

How did Miyazaki directed both Bloobonre and Dark Souls 3 at the same time? Something is not adding up here!
Some bosses are far better off being fought without lock-on, and therefore, rolling is the superior choice.
The tag tho...I'm convinced Miyazaki was not that involved in this game. I think they just plastered his name there to get people excited.
Why do I think this? The CG trailer tells the tale. In the trailer, we see a Giant King with a hole for a face. This is a DIRECT connection to Dark Souls 2, a game Miyazaki had nothing to do with, which shows.
Miyazaki is a genius, a visionary. Demon's, Dark and Bloodborne all have a distinct Miyazaki touch, something Dark Souls 2 lacks.
The point is, if Miyazaki was directing this game, he would never borrow from a lesser entry like DS2. He would never borrow from the "lesser vision" of his subordinates. Because,as I said, he is a visionary, one of the greats. It makes no sense for him to stoop to such low levels. It's beneath him, if you will.
The giant in the trailer gives it away. Miyazaki is not directing. And the reason is simple: Miyazaki doesn't need help from the lesser minds.
...The mere notion of Miyazaki actually using anything from the clusterfuck of the lore that is DS2...
Preposterous.

Paarl and Amydagla basically, out of 23 or so...
That was sand falling from his fist.
Cleric Beast, Ebrietas, Bloodletting Beast.... Basically, the really big baddies. IMO, of course...

The final game follows the ambientation set in the first CG trailer very closely. Changes between beta and final releases are normal and understable, but DkS2 ended being almost a different games since it's presentation unlike BB or DkS1

Was it? The gem turns into a sand-like texture when you crush it in Dark Souls II.
Miyazaki had someone helping him direct BB, probably he took care of the last months of development when Miyazaki went to start DS3.
Can't wait! Hope it's a epic conclusion the the Dark Saga.
If we get some Berserk eclipse stuff, I will lose it! :S

So this means that John Harker was right all along then, it seems.

I'm not surprised. He doesn't really make things up as he goes along.

Yet another souls game. They really need to stop milking the franchise too much. I am a fan but feel really fatigued at the moment.
