You can run past them pretty damn easily... I actually thought the run to the bosses was very convenient whether you fought them or not (the silver knights are quick fights that are pretty fun). Preferred it over Blight Town's poison, at least.

What I like to do, though: before I attempt the boss myself I'll help a handful of people kill it. I'll learn the bosses and then when I attempt them, I'll summon some help and I usually beat it first try. Never feels like I'm stuck.
Hmm. That's actually a great idea. I will do exactly that.

Well anyway I'm not trying to shit on the game I'm just saying, slow fight against 3 silver knights, or 3 minute jog from the first bon fire and hope that no one gets a lucky hit on my back. Just not feeling that tug back to playing like in the Parish, the Depths, or even Goddamn Blighttown.

Just sprint from the second bonfire to the fog doors. It isn't hard, I did it a few times after dying to that boss. You don't even have to fight anyone. That first Silver Knight is sort of blocking your way but you can just block his attack and then run past him if you don't want to fight him. Either way a backstab should take nearly their entire health bar off at that point in the game even at a modest soul level, and a riposte is a one-shot.

There are two more Silver Knights in the next room, only one of which will aggro on you (the other one has a very limited aggro range), and you can just run by both of them. When you get to the big room, same thing, just run by the enemies if you don't want to fight them. The archer won't hit you if you're running, the big knights shouldn't either if you just run around them since they're so slow.

No, use the Moss, the Red and Purple will each give you one Twinkling, while the blooming will give you 2. Dung Pie gives you a Titanite Chunk I believe, you can get it from the big dudes in Blighttown or buy it from the Undead Sewer merchant.

I think a dung pie will give you a Demon Titanite, which is even better.

I can't remember very well but, is there a bonfire by them?

Dragon Stone you can warp to. Then you can go all the way to the entrance to the Great Hollow to use that bonfire too, but I think the dragon stone fire is the closest to the crabs.

Yeah, in both areas. I farmed the ones in Crystal Caves for awhile with the Gold Serpent Ring, and got at least 4 in like 15 minutes (lucky). Very easy farming spot, but annoying to get there if you leave.

Goddammit, I just realized I forgot to tackle Ash Lake the The Great Hollow before I beat the game.

Place was awesome,
but didn't really seem to have much besides the hyrda. I joined the covenant down there, but never got past rank 1.

Man I was farming ore the wrong way all along. What I used to do was farm the leeches in the swamp for large titanite shards and buy regular shards from andrei at 800 souls a pop. What I'm doing now and should've done is feed green titanite shards to King Frampt so I get 5 titanite shards per green shard free (leeches in swamp drop green shards in stacks of 5). Also pumping points to get my faith up to 18 was worth it for the Homeward miracle. Spending souls for homebones @ 800 souls a pop isn't feasible and is a waste of souls imo.

Now farming twinkling titanite shards from the clams in Ash Lake is slow and tedious but you can feed the purge stones you get as common drops there to King Frampt for 1k souls each and all of a sudden it's much bearable.

Yep, you run backwards through
Ash Lake
, kill the one crab by itself then keep going back toward where the
Hydra
is, there are two crabs there to kill, and there is a bonfire pretty close to those two. That is where you farm, just keep resetting those two crabs, over and over. The
Crystal Cave
spot is higher density but higher risk and way out of the way.

Ok i just beated the boss in Blighttown: What is better to do now? Sen's fortress? i tried a little bit and those stupid snakes kill me lol ( but is doable i guess) .. or is it better to go in darkroot garden or something? I don't really know what the better choice is.

And wtf is that boss in demon ruins.. He killed me instatly twice so i left lol

Oh sweet. Know where I can get a slab of pure titanite?

Fog ring is bull shit. :(

As a spear user I couldn't even hit the invader. What's the requirement for the separation stone working? Once I saw that there was no way to win I tried to retreat but the item said there was no phantom to send back...

Took me 6 hours, but still. That's not 10 minutes. This guy/girl is a god.

Man, great moment that I just had to share.

I was walking across a bridge in Sen's Fortress, gave the lizard dude in front of me one good whack with my Zweihander +10, and he stops, turns around, and jumps off the ledge.

Wake up at 7am... load up Dark Souls...it's 3pm.

Made it to Anor Londo though!

Haha I know exactly what this is like. :>

Loved Anor Lando. Probably my favorite zone so far.

Can't wait to see what these dreaded last few zones are like that people seem to think are the worst levels ever. Much like the trivial Anor Lando archers, I can't help but feel some are just being drama queens and are probably just dying too much. :P

Man I just had an interesting multiplayer experience...

I've been using the Darkmoon ring quite a bit in my down times... I got called into invade a world and found that the host had already been invaded by a Black Phantom. Well, I guess the Black Phantom was a Darkwraith as I was able to target attack him without any problems (sometimes when you get called in you see the phantom of the other player but can't attack them). So I proceed to wreck the Darkwraith phantom (the host simply sat back and was trying to cast spells at both of us) and then had to deal with the host who had by that time summoned a helper.

If I was thinking more clearly, I should've focused on the host first, but it was the first time I saw a 1 vs 1 vs 1 going on... Rather insane.

I have been playing for 40 hours and am only in Anor Londo, lol. Of course I farmed quite a bit, but still I think beating this beast in 43 hours is pretty darn good.

Haha same here. I'm at 37 hrs? Just got to the boss in Anor Londo.

Kill the
Stray Demon
, I don't know other ways, I think that is the most rare upgrade item, seeing how it ascends a Normal weapon to +15 to create a unique legendary weapon, I doubt they are farmable.

The Gold Hemmed robe armor has great defense stats for how light it is. As for weapons, the ones I suggest are too heavy to keep you under 25%. Maybe one of the curved dexterity based swords ascended to +10 or Lightning, or a boss soul weapon might be worth trying.
where can i find this gold hemmed robe?
and yes, i do want to use a boss soul for a weapon.

So i just cut off
Seath's
tail and did not get the
Moonlight Great Sword
. Anyone know what gives?

When I did it
I had to line up just perfectly with the end of the severed tail before it would give me the prompt, and the tail kept bouncing around in fits of Havok-induced madness every time I so much as bumped it. I had to wait for it to settle down and then slowly walk towards it before it actually let me take the sword.

The same thing happened to me when I tried to use a separation stone.

If I knew what I know now, on my first playthrough I would have made it a point to get to Anor Lando as soon as possible. Great armor sets, and for most builds it has probably the best blacksmith in the game.

I felt my character steadily getting stronger throughout the game but at Anor Lando you can get a significant bump.

Separation stones only work on friendly phantoms, and on you when you're a friendly phantom in someone else's game. It can't send invaders away.

Ceasless Discharge room to the right, when you pick it up the fight will start.

Ceaseless Discharge
is guarding it, you can just grab it as a suicide run try to escape running or with Homeward bone, or fight him, it doesn't really matter, the gear is worth the effort.

I don't even see the tail but the battle is over. If you do it after the battle is over is it too late? Do you have to cut
all 3 tails, or just the biggest one?
I didn't even see the tail fly off in the flash of crystals like it usually does when you cut a tail, but I did see the stump where his tail used to be with blood gushing out of it like a normal cut-off tail looks like.

is it the best weapon? It doesn't seem so good.
and by the way i don't remember how to reach the giant blacksmith. >_>

It's not the most powerful overall but it's devastating on whatever is weak to fire and it probably has the coolest-looking attacks, at least that I've seen. :>

I won't deny they are good (they are quite good with the timing of the enemies, they 2H everything and don't really get injured). The fight with the gargs was quite nice, because I didn't know you could interrupt them like that.

However, a lot of that (all of that) is just practice. It took me a long, long time to get the first bell rung (hours). The second time I played the game (not NG+, this was a reroll) I was under 20 minutes for doing the same thing. That was taking the time to do stuff like get all the souls in Undead Burg, and kill both the Black Knight in Undead Burg, and the one in Undead Parish.

Though in his vid I LOVED at 5:48, that room which is normally tough with the 3 warriors and 1 solider, and then the fire throwers join in. At 5:48 in his vid he has trashed everyone in the room and the fire throwers are about to come in and it's like they see everyone is dead, and CLOSE the door saying "fuuuuuuuuuck that!".

Finally beat the game! I'm still trying to figure out why people hated both L
ost
I
zalith
and the T
omb
of G
iants
. I figured out within 10 seconds after beating the Catacombs that T of G wasn't the place I was supposed to be yet. That only got confirmed when I found a
helmet in LI that makes T of G a helluva lot easier
. As for LI, I assume people all hate that first part when the zone name pops up. The enemies there are like every other enemy in the game: pushovers once you realize their patterns. tHe rest of that place is hella easy as long as you take your time. Hell , once you hit the second bonfire you can just sprint past everything to get to the boss door.
Although, the boss there does suck major ass. FROM must have known and not had time to fix it. How else can you explain the boss room not resetting between deaths.

As for the ending:
What the fuck happened? I assume that now my character is the new source of all the fire in the world, and will stay there until he gets weak, the fire starts to fade again, and another new "Chosen Undead" comes along to kick my ass?
At least, that's the only thing I can think happened...

I already started my second playthrough and decimated the Undead Chapel and D
darkroot
G
ardens
. I'm actually going to head straight to S
if
next to see if I can kill him. It seems to me that in New Game Plus my armor and stamina all absorb the same amount of hits, enemies just do a lot more of damage if they actually connect. I'm using an Iato+15 and it's ripping through enemies pretty good. I just need to keep pumping up DEX.

Is NG+ harder? I want to go back and see some areas I skipped over, but I'd like it to be easier... hell, I might soul dupe or whatever. No interest in fighting through this game again, at least not so soon.

i would like to have to most powerful weapon.
right now i'm playing at an ng+ difficulty and i didn't finish the game (it's a bug). that's why.

That is very annoying as I already used that piece :( I did so without knowing that the other ore's are useless for STR modifying... NG+ it is I guess.... I do like, 558 DMG single handed at +14 anyway so it's not like I'm lacking!

Queelag's Furysword + Laito = God Mode. Not really, but close enough.

Yep those are the exact two I run around with. Furysword +4 (I can make it +5 but I kinda wanna save those titanites) and Lightning Iaito +5.

Ok this game has a -1 on my review just for the shitty framerate. It's just too damn annoying sometime. It's a great game but this is clearly a step down from Demon's souls (and i know demon's souls fps wasnt perfect either).

Anyway, reposting my question: best thing to do after blighttown? Darkroot garden or sen's fortress?
Also, i guess i prefered the more 'arcadey' nexus instead of this..; Now it's always entering some place , trying to beat something and figure out if it's beatable or if i go some place else first.. err..

Any good places to farm Tiranite Chunks to level my Lightning Spear up some more?

Heh, I'm running with a Lightning Great Scythe +3, Lightning Uchiatana, Fire Uchiatana +5 and Divine Iaoto +5. So many weapons, so few hands >.<

Side note, anyone know where to get the ember that lets me upgrade divine weapons past +5?
