Has anyone in Europe been able to buy the guide, online or otherwise ? I dont see it actually being sold anywhere, my amazon uk order keeps being pushed back and the amazon.fr page went from "to be released" directly to "out of stock".

Did you
light the bonfire?

The credits are the most interesting part of that ending.

Yes.
If you are talking about the music during the credits, then yeah, it is the only good thing about the ending

Any advice on killing the ghost like guys in the forest? they rape the hell out of me
I just lead them to the edge of the cliff and then kick those fools off. Very satisfying plus you earn thousands of souls.

Ah i see. Thanks! Game Over!

Edit: wow holy shit, the ending is even worse than Demon's Souls, nice feat From Software. I mean, i know the story/plot is not the big thing of the game, but still , hahahahaha.

Which did you pick?

Fucked up the stray demon and got the slab I needed to max out my lightning axe!

Do you get any Trophy for defeating the Taurus Demon? I didn't. I hope it isn't glitched for me.

After the tutorial, this game would never give a trophy for something so easy. :P

Just circle with them and keep your shield up, or roll away from their attacks if you can. Their semi-invisibility can make them hard to spot at first but once you do it's easy enough to keep your eye on them. Try to pull one enemy at a time.

You should be able to block their attacks then just strike back when there's an opening. They're honestly mostly like any other enemy with the only difference being you can't lock on. Just use your camera and you should be able to stay in front of them.

Don't give in to using that pathfinding cliff glitch thing on them. :p They can drop some loot and generally don't respawn. There's also a semi-invisible archer further in the back who drops a very nice bow, but he's near the edge of a cliff and can easily fall off since he likes to roll a lot and get in longer range. He also doesn't respawn so if you want that bow make sure he doesn't fall off.

I bought it at play.com (The official guide). It hasn't arrived yet, but normally it takes a 1,5 - 2 weeks...

I was more thinking of
counting the typos in the credits. I found five, but I only started counting partway through. And they credit Patches as Trusty Patches, because they are liars like that.

The credits were much more fun than Lost Izalith.

That place is so creepy, like you're at the edge of the entire world. Mine killed itself too, it looked like a glitch but is it meant to happen?

WTF do I do in Ash Lake? I'm afraid to light the bonfire here because I don't want to be trapped with no way out.

Dragon Covenant, farm Twinkling Titanite, and get your weapons destroyed by seafood.

I lit the bonfire, is the other one more than a 3second shot of the player being engulfed in the fire ?

I saw it Sunday afternoon so my memory is already fuzzy on it...I walked out the room, I *think* there was voice acting telling me whats going to happen and I remember seeing a bunch of Primordial Serpents bowing their heads down to me as I am their new master? I thought that was cute the way they honored me and all.. ;p Sounds like that ending is better than the bonfire one.

the boss just launched me right the fuck back out of the fog.

In the bonfire ending you touch the bonfire, flames rise up from it and fill the room, then it cuts to the games logo and the credits roll. It's about a 5 second cutscene.

Drake sword?

drake sword +1.

i usually am using my lightning spear+3. but it was too hard to hit this boss with that.

what is behind that big door in Demon Ruins? says closed by the Great Lord

there is 3 doors like that. you can't open them until after you beat a certain boss.

after you beat that boss all 3 doors are open and new huge areas are available.

According to Future Press on their Facebook page the book were printed in the US and got held up in customs on the way to Europe :-/ Still awaiting mine as well.

On the upside this game is amazing. Played my first session last night and killed
Taurus Demon, Gargoyles and Capra Demon
over about 6 hours. This game has hooked me more than DeS ever did.

Just found a Lightning Spear from a
Mimic
in
Sen's Fortress
. Is this the same spear people have been talking about that they get from
Anor Londo
?

I found that too and am wondering the same thing, lol.

Well you give me that sword right now and I'll stop using the Drake Sword.

haha. exactly.

i am ONLY using my drake sword in this pic because a spear was a pain in the ass on this boss.

but normally i'm spearing it up.

So I'm farming sunlight medals/lower requirement to join the Warriors of Sunlight near the gargoyles, and this guy summoned Lautrec to help him with the bosses - had no idea you could even do that, not for that particular area.

Nah you find it in
Sen's
but you can forge lightning weapons in
Anor Londo
at the Blacksmith. I am guessing that is where the confusion comes from.

Ehhhhhhhhh, was grinding 20K souls to open the door. Got 19.6K, decided to go kill
Hydra
, dead, later dead when running back, all souls + 3 Humanity lost.

Can I go to the Depths, turn into Human, and help ppl beat
Gaping Dragon
as a Blue Phantom? Will that get me souls quickly?

i found my lightning spear in anor londo. it was super effective as is. i still upgraded it a few times to give it that extra kick. and judging the amount of people i ran into who have it also. it is likely the weapon described above.

Where in Anor did you find it? Both times I played I got it off the same mimic chest in Sen's. I'm 100% sure on that.

honestly. i do not remember where i found it. it had to be near the beginning of the level. because the friend i had over who wanted to see this game in action saw that i was struggling to kill the gargoyle and he asked "dude, why don't you use that new spear you picked up a bit ago?"

this is one of the bad things about being someone who just hordes every item they find and doesn't pay close attention to everything. :(

so it was either at the start of anor londo, or the end of the level just before.

It was in Sen's off the mimic.

Wow Blight town really is dangerous. What status effect does the
Gaping Dragon
vomit put on you? I thought it would be healed by a bonfire, but apparently not? Something with a red arrow down.

I believe that lowers the durability of your weapon / armor. Just need to repair it.

after beating the centipede demon the sunlight warrior dude was moping around saying he can't find something after all his searching.

anyone know? :(

Why would you risk fighting a miniboss when you're so close to your 20K?

Ok got my Enchanted Bandit's Knife to +1. I'm out of Blue Titanite Chunks though, where do I farm more? I read that the crystal golems around the hydra area of Darkroot Basin might drop some. Has anyone received a Blue Titanite Chunk from them?

Also, where is the Crystal Caves? Supposedly the only Blue Titanite Slab is there, along some invisible path.

Oh man fuck the water wheel in blight town, I always fall off that damn thing when trying to roll onto the platform!

Is there any reason why I shouldn't
kill Ingward, the boss of New Londo Ruins
instead of going through the hassle of going to him? I need the
key
. I've read that he
removes curses
but isn't there a reasonably cheap item that does the same thing, or am I missing something?

Wouldn't you need to go to him to kill him anyway?

I had pretty much given up on PvP/covenants and lost momentum with the game(things are getting too easy and I spend more time looking for a way to progress than anything else). Thought I was a little burned out. However, now I've rekindled my love by invading people in The Tomb of the Giants with mist ring on. I am basically acting a part in a slasher flick. Too bad I get crushed sometimes because I can do like no damage to some people. This spot must be perfect for my level range, because I invading a lot.

Where do I get the ring that doesn't tell people I've invaded? I want to scare the shit out of some people.

EDIT: Also Mist Ring should only work when Alvina or w/e calls you. Shit is broken, but a little fun too.
