Any tips for the Anor Londo boss?
I can kill the fat guy pretty easily, but the fight becomes way harder after that. The spear guy is really hard to hit, and if I don't miss I only get one or two hits in before he does his buttstomp.

Kill the spear guy first.

Kill the small guys first, will make the fight much more manageable. The butt stomp is the best move the boss can do, since he telegraphs it well and it's extremely easy to avoid. When he does it, make sure to get off a few hits while he recovers.

Damn,
4 Kings
was pretty cool fight. Falling into the
Abyss
, can't see shit, then a few seconds later
creepy demonic looking devil king
shows up. Creepy shit.

Died like 5 times until I figured out a good strategy. The name is very misleading to say the least.

Yep, reminds me of
Bongo Bongo
in OoT.

You should try co-op with that fight, so fun. Had 10 co-op sessions on that boss. Even had a few ng+ fights too.

I really want a Crystal Ring shield.

Is there a shortcut out of Tomb of
Giants
? I went to the end when it seems like I shouldn't have, and it's gonna be an utter bitch to go all the way back via Catacombs without dying. Argh.

Me too and farming humanity for chaos covenant. I'm 2 dex away from using Iaito. Kind of on the fence if I want to. I'm using divine halberd +5 and black knight sword atm.

Is the katana any good since it have low durability?

I just lit the bonfire in B

Whose genius idea was it to create Lost Izalith? Easily one of the most annoying areas I've ever dealt with in a game, unfortunately.

The blind, deaf and dumb janitor at From Software.

Just keep going "forward", as in further away from where the entrance to blight town is. Remember you can destroy obstacles like wooden barricades and such.

Yeah, I really appreciate the advice. I have a short attention span, and I'm not used to games considering each and every enemy as kind of a boss fight..
I exhaled, relaxed my shoulders, took my time, tried to rake up a few souls, bought a bow, leveled up a couple of levels.
And yes; It feels a lot smoother now, and I feel that I have a certain level of control..

Still not happy about the game not having any form for difficulty option whatsoever..

To the comment below: The words RPG and Fantasy is mentioned on the box, that's all the description it has. It says nothing about the game being a hardcore fighting/RPG.. I knew that Demon Souls was "hardcore", and difficult for a casual gamer, but I also vividly remember reading that the developers wanted to implement mechanisms in Dark Souls to ease the experience for an expanded audience. But like I've understood it, the actual fighting in Dark Souls is actually even harder (?)..

Unfortunately the developers wanted to do the exact opposite, increase the risk/reward factor, and make the game overall harder. They never really wanted to cater to a more casual audience, but there are things in the game early on that you can do/receive that can help early on in the game. Overall, newcomers to the Souls series will definitely be overwhelmed by the game IMO.

Fuck, I didn't grab the
white titanite slab and the large divine ember and the tranquil walk of peace in the Tomb/Catacombs.

Time to go spelunking again. :(

And I've met the last pyromancer:

So now I understand the story of Izalith.

Dang that's messed up.
You mean
Quelana
? Man I could not find her in my game.

I think I might've gone through too much of the story for her to show up because I found the spot where she's supposed to be (I saw a lot of signs saying "Master" and all that) but she wasn't there. I dunno.

:(

I have a problem. I want to upgrade one of my weapons to +6 fire, but I pissed off the blacksmith in the catacombs. Are there any other blacksmiths that will allow me to go to the next level of fire?

Took down the anor bosses ast night with the help of two japanese summons. So damn amazing to finally kill those bastards in my own game after helping other people a few times and dying solo a few times, left a 100k bloodstain there but retrieved it each time hehe. Still need to finish up some secrets there though. This game is so huge. Rhe boss dropped the leo ring but how usefull is it really?

So... Uh...

The pyro at Firelink left a while back and I wasn't able to nab Iron Flesh.

Is he the only one that sells it? :|
You told him about
The Chaos Witch
didn't you?

yeah i did the same thing.
he's gone and it sucks that you don't know for sure what the repercussions will be when you decide to tell him or not.

there IS another pyromancer (other than the egg dude) but for some reason she never showed up in my game or I just missed her. i'm not sure what the prerequisites are for her to show up so I can't say for sure.

Who's the egg dude?

I found the other pyro in
the Swamp of Blighttown. When you exit the elevator area, she's sitting back against the second giant pillar you see to your right.

Regarding the first pyro...
I later found him in the swamp, he attacked me and I had to fight him. Is there any way to bring him back/revive him?

Now someone pls tell me where to find an invasion stone and where to sell items? I already chatted to the teethy fellow in firelink

Pretty sure she only appears
if you have +10 pyromancy flame

I've gotten all my invasion stones from Covenants, can't help you there.

But you sell items to the teethy fellow. Just go to
Feed Items
and give him your excess loot.

You find the invasion stone in the painted world. It's all the way up a staircase in this coliseum thing. Pretty difficult to miss as you have to stumble upon the area. To even get to the painted world, you need to go back to the undead asylum and return to your original cell. You'll find an item that will allow you to go to the painted world.

The red soapstone doesn't allow you to invade I don't think... It lets you put your sign down for others to accept invasions? I'm not really sure how it works but yeah.

Also, the teethy guy is what you "sell" items to. You feed him stuff and he gives you souls.

Oh, something weird happened earlier. I was in New Londo, right in the beginning before the first wooden bridge, and
a dark-skinned NPC wearing chain armor and no helmet, wielding a sword and shield came after me. He'd never been there before. He was actually sorta tough, and only dropped 1,000 souls when I beat him
. Any idea what the hell was up with that?

He's in the same room with the Daughter Of Chaos where you initiate the covenant. He sells a few extra pyro spells and upgrades your pyromancy flame. Not sure if you've gotten that far.

As for the other question: no. :(

Yeah I read up on this and upgraded my pyromancy to that but still nothing. I think I might've just missed her because I was near the end of the game when I went to go look for her. I'm hoping that
she's not the same person you fight right before the Bed Of Chaos boss fight...

So I was helping this host in the depths with another phantom. All of a sudden, we get this message, "Servant of Gravelord something something something" I didn't pay attention as we were fighting some basilisks. Went to the Gaping Dragon and owned him as usual. Were we supposed to look for their sign?

I ran into the first pryomancer teacher in the swamp too. He was hostile. Had to put him down.

lol
it's the guy in Firelink Shrine who just sits there.

so my friend and I have been able to see each other's summoning signs a couple times, but the summoning failed, any reason for this, and also is there any way to "refresh" which signs appear to try to find his sign?

That never happened to me but...
The description sounds a lot like that guy that you first see sitting at the Firelink bonfire. Is he still there in your game?

It is
him. I thought I had been invaded when it happened to me, but someone else confirmed that it was

Managed to get summoned once last night. shit online.

However, it was a great fight with smough and orstein. I took orstein's attention away whilst the other 2 hit on smough, and when it came to finally dealing with orstein, all 3 of us cast iron flesh and just walked into Orstein and laid him out. It was proper epic watching 3 of us slowly walking towards this harash motherfucker and hardly taking any of his shit due to the buff. He was dead in 4 seconds.

Corky said:
Why does that happen actually?
He says he was tired of all the snoring from that worm-dude in Firelink... yeah. That's the reason.

BeeDog said:
Feels like I've come to a complete halt, can't seem to progress anymore. >:(

I have either the Tomb of The Giants or Lost Izalith to progress through, but both are annoying as fuck, especially Izalith. What to do? :(

Also, I have a question regarding the Demon Ruins; right before the
Demon Firesage
boss, there's a detour you can take to the right where you end up in a long corridor with a couple of very small enemies in front of a stone door. How do I open this door?

Don't think anybody answered... So! Go to Izalith, I've heard very bad things about the other place. It's the same route I took also. Izalith really isn't that bad, as the enemies
don't respawn, well the big ones don't.
Also the boss is easy, so you can use as many flasks as you want to get there.

As for the door, it connects to Izalith, but you can't open it on the other side either. I haven't beaten the boss yet as I
blocked a swipe that pushed me into the abyss... Cheap death.
So it may just open afterwards.

A question of my own, the bug headlamp item, is that bright enough for the Tomb of Giants?

Yikes... I took him out because I was afraid he was going to kill the serpent guy.

Does anyone know what the level range for Red Eye Orb (Darkwraith) invasions are? I'm level 30-ish and using it in the Depths but I notice that I'm encountering players who are probably in NG+. I've got a feeling that the Darkwraith covenant has no level range limits.

I also somehow invaded a mage at the Undead Parish who was wearing some armor that looked like a female equivalent of Big Hat Logan's set, and she one hit me with those homing mass soul arrows.
