Darksiders: Warmastered Edition |OT| No, not alone.

Started playing this on a whim today, after realising I'd been granted it free on Steam. I really prefer 2 due to the locations letting the art direction shine but honestly I was surprised how well the first holds up. Just finished up the twilight cathedral and it's been great. Things can get quite hairy with health in the early going against some of the bigger enemies and it kind of shirts the modern trend of quite easily being able to afford all upgrades. I really had to think what to take off Vulgrim.

So decided to try the Warmastered edition after the DS3 reveal, as I haven't played it since the original release (on PC).

I'm playing on ultrawide 3440x1440 and FSAA doesn't seem to be working at all. Do they disable it at higher display resolutions to keep performance from cratering? Everything else is maxed out with FXAA enabled at the moment and my 1080Ti runs it pegged at 100fps (max gsync monitor refresh). Just wondering if there's something else I should be doing for an anti-aliasing solution, though given the art style, the FXAA implementation isn't really bad.

Darksiders Warmastered Edition is coming to PlayStation 5 on May 19, 2026.

The game follows War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, as he is wrongly accused of triggering the end of the world and sets out on a quest for redemption.

The Warmastered Edition brings the acclaimed action-adventure classic back with enhanced visuals, improved performance, and all previously released content, delivering a definitive experience for modern platforms.

They are raising the price for the Game to 30 on xbox series x but You get a free upgrades if You already own it.

On PS5 they keep the ps4 version at 20 but they charge you 10 for the upgrade.

Xbox series version just has the new photo mode but it is the same as the backwards compatible one, both run at 4k 60 on series x.

Ps5 version gets slight resolution increase over the backwards compatible one, photo mode, activities and dualsense features, but that is not worth 10, they should have added 120hz support at least.

$30 launch price if you don't have the game at all.
they also raising the price on psn as well.

Devs mentioned a PC update on Steam discussions, but no idea what it includes. I'm hoping it fixes cutscenes and crashing on Steam Deck at least.
