That is very true, but that was about a "massive franchise confirmed for PS4" or someting. Something to work with.
Dean Hall talking about something "exciting" he saw at Microsoft can mean literally anything. Software, hardware, OS, functionality. There's nothing to go on.

Yep, I really hope they do a sequel before any MMO. A proper co-op mode with a more fleshed out world (in terms of survivors and clashes with said survivors, roaming gangs, etc) and better controls would be incredible.

Hard to get too excited about a completely ambiguous statement, but it's nice to know there is more to come that should get people excited.

Anyways, I want to know what it is too. Part of the reason why MS is in this mess is because the good news Sometimes is being held back until bad news comes around so they can damage control it with good news. I'm keeping an eye out for it.

Pretty much. They're always one step behind Sony. Time to step up their game and not wait for E3 to announce stuff, just show off those glasses or Sony will be first again with their VR goggles.

They should be doing that.
They should be acknowledging the tech discussion going on on the net and saying that they aren't worried one bit. They should be saying that anyone can build a powerful machine but that wasn't enough for this gen. That they built Xbox One with the clear idea of providing something that was better than last gen in every aspect, and they are working very hard with all their partners and their own studios to show that difference. They should be saying that sales have been fantastic so far and they can't wait to talk about all the exciting things coming to the system (and I'm sure they have plenty) so they can take it to the next level.
But nope.
Let's keep embarrassing our own product and treating our customers like idiots by talking about the power of the cloud and pixie dust, telling everybody that numbers don't matter anymore (as of November 2013) and contradicting ourselves in the same sentence by assuring everybody that Xbox One does indeed support 1080p/60fps. Plus all the other nonsense.
The guys working on the system behind the curtains are doing a great job but the PR guys making all these statements (or whoever is telling them to do it) are being completely inept.

But what I put up wasn't a 'joke' post. I did have some fun with another 'tease' of exciting projects. But I also did speculate a little bit. We should have a little fun around here.
Haven't played Day Z. Lots of people really like it so for what it's worth they seem to know how to make games. I have watched some streams they had up and the guys seem to be down to earth people that just like games. I don't know if they really get into the hyperbole of marketing, I like to think that they don't. With that said, there's really nothing I can add other than I hope whatever it was is cool!

Maybe he's talking about a Kinectless SKU? A planned pricedrop? New Kinect voicecommands? A new, expanded developer toolset? Who the fuck knows.
I mean, i'd feel a plan to facilitate user-swappable hard-drives would be "exciting" too. But saying that doesn't mean that they are working on goddamn bleeding-edge virtual reality uberprojects just because it's under NDA. Everything "inside Xbox" is under NDA, always.

It sounds like its directly related to something about Dayz on the XB1. Or some new XB1 feature that might compliment the game ?

You see that "junior" attached to your title? That means behave. Even more than you would here, which should already be infinitely more than you'd behave on any other gaming forum. Dear Microsoft, if you have stuff that people think would be awesome to talk about, do please talk about it. "Non-reveals-non-denials" like that are how we get hyped for games and tech (like Sony's VR, one example, not claiming anything here) months and months ahead of actual announcements.
Obviously there is currently an Xbox MVP summit going on...
