He could still end up having his kids (adoption, surrogate, fling with a chick before coming out). They'd obviously be younger and probably wouldn't have their powers, but it could happen.

As an aside, I wish more superheroes had kids. So lame that they, with a few exceptions, all have to be "single and ready to mingle" all the time. I've been reading Brubaker's 04 run on Captain America, and I thought it was cool when Sharon was pregnant. I was bummed when the she lost the kid cause I really liked the idea of Cap being a dad.

Also, what a total copout this is. "We're going to make an Iconic character gay!" So who do they choose? One who hasn't been significant in over sixty years. You know if they had chosen one that most people had speculated on (Flash, Kyle Raynor etc..) that their homophobic teen fanbase would have thrown a hissy fit.

there's so many different versions of GL as they take over mantle so this isn't a shock per se.; etc etc.

It sorta is okay but you know what; for me the classic gay comic couple are the 2 in (sunblazer+nightsomething) from that comic; which name escapes me - they have a spaceship that travels through the ether or something.

I guess this is news because its DC? But then Marvel did it already so....

Who says the kids have to have powers? Plus, Superman having a kid isn't bad in and of itself. It's him being all creepy and stalkerish about it like he was in the movie that was bad.

being gay shouldn't have to be such a big announcement in this day in age. I think its weak that they said it was going to be a major character and its earth 2 GL. I mean hal would have been big news. I think they could have at least done red robin or something. Also someone said something about starfire being a slut and isn't that what they turned her into in red hood in the outlaws.

I am a bit ashamed that in all of the combinations that I put together in my head, ravanger and laura was not one of those combos..

It is so on the nose I can see how it could be over looked. Especially with new Ravanger.
