Looks like it and to be fair PS2 was never a sure launch title. Out if all of those I am most excited to play some more Warframe and Warthunder.
Ditto, those two are both awesome fun.

becaaause it's made by Sony Online Entertainment?
You sound like you maybe played for ten minutes then quit.
The leveling up quests are fine and dispensed with quickly (especially with friends). The real game opens up after you get your toon to level 30. Then the actual game really begins and it involves mechanics that are much more complicated than you're suggesting
Stay strong! The game is like an even jankier WoW from 2005 with all of those awful quests and the sluggish combat. You really just go to each quest area and mash your attack button and a few skills and you're done. It's awful.
Blacklight hasn't been confirmed yet and War Thunder has only been confirmed for EU day 1.
Ah ok that was my bad haha
This wasn't a bad game at all. It had performance issues on the PS3, but it was loads of fun. It had issues with meta-game stuff around the time of launch, as a sandbox mmo with superheroes and solid pvp, it was worth the time I put in.
I have a level 30 (max) flying character after it went F2P (I also bought it when it came out due to friend pressure, I didn't make it far then though).
I couldn't really tell you why I have a level 30 though. I think it was during a really dry stretch of the year when nothing was coming out and I was really bored.
Welp, I can only assume you didn't really take a stab at any of the group content or you'd know that button mashing won't work.
Terrible game is tuuurrrribblle.
You gotta be seriously desperate for some DC themed stuff if your stooping to this crap.
Now War Thunder is a legit F2P game. It's really rad to play, and the paywall stuff isn't egregious... if you don't buy into it, you basically just have to take much, much longer to level up. But I like it so much, I would set aside like $40 to invest in things in it.
Happens to us all
The framerate seemed extremely janky from the little I watched of my brother-in-laws character. Hopefully they can at least fix that shit.
Its a decent mmo. Played it for a bit. Ff11 is still better
Not going to downplay it all. It was bad.The framerate seemed extremely janky from the little I watched of my brother-in-laws character. Hopefully they can at least fix that shit.
I have a feeling FFXI won't change your mind. One of the best console MMO's ive played. Keep in mind, I never played FF11 or 14 on Console.
Depends on what you want from a game... If you ever wanted a DC version of Ultimate Alliance with a players you could create, online, in damned nice sandboxes, with PvP options, better gameplay, and loads more easter eggs then you'd probably like DCUO more.
The PS3 version really just didn't handle cluttered areas well at all. Sometimes they didn't even need to be cluttered either :/
Aye. Do your characters transfer though from ps3 to 4?
It works for all of the group dungeons before that. It's a hectic mess of a battle system that seems to have no coordination or sense of flow. It's just 4 people running around mashing their skill bar and watching animations from 2002 take place.

They've only demoed the PS4 version with the new UI so I'm assuming they're launching it with it instead of wasting time porting over the current interface. Is the new UI coming with this revamping patch or did they push that back? I remember seeing videos of a different UI at events but I can't find anything about it on the test server patch notes.
I understand if you didn't enjoy the game but you're speaking as if all wine sucks and you know because you had a Dixie cup of boxed wine from Target. To wit: you haven't really explored well enough at all to be able to comment with the authority that you're attempting to pass off.
I'm desperate enough to play Batman games despite not really liking Batman and I still can't stick with this game. Dropped it when Kingdoms of Amalur came out and never went back, even when my friends picked it up.
I'm tired of people advertising this game like it matters on the PS4.
is this a fighting game ?? if so good launch game
IT'S FREE!!!!!!! You don't even need PSN+ for this. Stop trying to shit on things just because you don't care about it.

The combat was really good.
That's what stood out to me the most. People who actually knew their skillset and combos vs the mashers in PvP around the city or in matches... it was hilarious/embarrassing.
Man HELL NO. Ultimate Alliance was like crack. DCU was so generic.
Skill point respecs are free while all the other respecs (Power, Default Weapon, Name, Character Size, etc...) all cost real money. If you just hated the weapon you selected you can respec your skill points for free and then just put them into another weapon.Characters from PS3 transfer over? Interest piqued. I had a level 30 duder from back at launch, but pretty sure I totally screwed up his character progression. Full respecs available?
edit: My dude was double-blades and one of the main reason I quit was that the sound effect for these was so incredibly grating...and the sound mix itself seemed really jacked.
There's not a lot of footage of the PS4 version. The closest thing to a comparison is the Before/After PC trailer they released, but that video doesn't show the difference between the sub-30 - 30fps of the PS3 version and the 60fps of the PS4 version. We have some footage comapring them yet?
Agreed. You can get a fair amount out of DCUO without paying anything. Pretty big download though (30gb or so).
I have a feeling FFXI won't change your mind.
XIV probably would though.
A turd is still a turd even if its on PS4.
Early game, sure.
Later on? No. Between combo utility, parties and the cross-over abilities, and the very wide variety of style of play that the weapons provided - its much, much more open ended.
That's just on the player side. Enemies from grunts to bosses are all generally more dynamic and the missions/objectives in PvE and PvP all offer a lot more than Ultimate Alliances arcade framework.
Edit: That's what I'm talking about. DCUO had plenty of issues. The gameplay wasn't really one of them. There's the broken economy, the bugs, the weird social disconnect that could happen if you went solo til the end, the drop rates, the merciless ganking in some areas (#fuckdaheroes), the boring drudges between dungeons, the empty as fuck metagame (that finally got fixed after I moved on), the sound issues, the UI running on playdough speeds...
Smart move to get it out before FFXIV comes to PS4 and takes the MMO crown on consoles.
