DC's Speedforce as easy as 3X2(9YZ)4A

Is the speedforce an universal or an omniversal thing? I know Flash does some vibrating trick to travel to alternate universe, but is that because all universes share the same speedforce?

It surroundeds the entire multiverse. He can in fact run between dimensions. And some versions have.

Earth 2' Flash costume is embarrassing. It looks like something a parody character would wear.

Omniversal.

IDK man I've never been a fan of the silver dish. I appreciate the change. The og costume is kinda growing on me but I don't know if I'll ever adore it.

Did you read when earth 2 Flash pushed one of the furies through infinity. It was pretty messed up.

Barry can actually do it with a thought now. Pretty much willing objects out of existence.

Omniversal.
It's not the best, but it's not the worst.
I honestly still don't know how Barry Allen was resurrected. Was it Speedforce shenanigan or Retcon-punch shenanigan?

Thawne went back in time, killed Barry's mom, then recreated the experiment that gave Barry his powers, however this time there was a murder so Speed Force + Blood Magic = Negative Speed Force (Atrocitus would be proud). This somehow caused Barry to come back as the new Black Flash.

A question from someone who's only experience with The Flash has been the TV series: are there any other *attribute*-forces out there in the comics or is Speed the only one that's been created?

There are other omniversal/multiversal/universal power sources, but none like that. Jai West did use his Speed Force for super strength.

Several, the green, red, grey, fungi, bacteria, the metal, Art, the Would tree, the clear, the emotional spectrum.

They pretty much are what they sound like.
Plus many more.

I hope I've blown your mind with the random ass forces in DC.

You're supposed to make it less confusing for me! SLAYVEN HELP!

Bless you Slayven for remembering The Ray exists and that he has lightspeed as one of his many powers in relationship to his complete mastery of energy and light.

  • Light Constructs
  • Light Speed
  • Flight
  • Energy form (when he reverts it heals all damage)
  • Energy absorption (including radiation) and Conversion
  • Energy projectiles
  • Energy shields that both protect him and allow him to convert his energy to strength (KO-ed superboy in a single shot. He thought he killed him!)
  • Invisibility
  • literally one of the most powerful metas on Earth in DC according to Superman and Batman
  • also a genius software designer
  • Can create any form of light or energy at will (red sunlight. Cmon why doesn't Amanda Waller or Luthor use this guy for an enforcer!)

So barring cosmic powers and gods, are Speedforce-powered speedsters the most powerful terrestrial combatants in the DC universe?

They are pretty much at the top, speedsters are at the center of just about every multiversal event.

The only people who can beat them is the plot, magicians that know we'll ahead of time that they are coming and reality warpers.

Wally West is the fastest man in the multiverse.

It's why I find it hard to believe his rogue gallery include Captain Boomerang and a guy with glorified flamethrower.

Captain colds cold gun can freeze things at a molecular level. And boomerang has black lantern constructs now so he's actually respectable now.

The Rogues' relationship with the Flash is unique. It's something that's emphasized frequently within the comics.

Just because Speedsters CAN go that hard, doesn't mean they WANT to or SHOULD.

They've been mentioned, but let's tie them to specific characters.

The Emotional Spectrum is a Green Lantern concept. Green is Willpower and the original force up until Geoff Johns got ahold of the property. The full list.

  • Red - Rage
  • Orange - Greed
  • Yellow - Fear
  • Green - Willpower
  • Blue - Hope
  • Indigo - Compassion
  • Violet - Love

  • Black - Death
  • White - Life

Each has it's own version of the Corps, though they differ in motive and operation. Orange, for example, has only one wielder - Larfleeze - but his "Corps" consists of hard light constructs that take the form of others the ring/battery has consumed.

The Green is unrelated to Green Lantern and is actually the force that empowers the Swamp Thing, Poison Ivy, and Earth 2's Green Lantern. Like GL's Emotional Spectrum, there are competing forces, which in this case are elemental.

  • The Green - Plant Life
  • The Red - Animal Life (Animal Man, Vixen, Beast Boy)
  • The Clear - Aquatic Life (Aquaman, actually unclear since they haven't brought up his use in New 52)
  • The Grey - Alien Fungal Life
  • The Rot - Decay and Death (Anton Arcane)

The Lords of Chaos and Order are pretty straightforward. The Lords of Order want to bring order and stability to the universe, The Lords of Chaos seek to bring change and discord. While this seems to be a good and bad split, taken on their extremes, you have unending stagnation versus complete anarchy. The known Lords of Order include Nabu (who powers/possesses Doctor Fate), Amethyst, and Mordru. Known Lords of Chaos include Kestrel, Kid Eternity, and Dan Didio.

The best known heroes powered by Chaos and Order are Hawk and Dove respectively.

But they still need time to aim/throw/think

Yep it's dumb. At least when cold had powers he just kept a cold defense field around him. He actually incorporated this into his guns to stop bullets.

The grey incooperates fungi and bacteria now.
even though it is not aware of itself and remains constantly asleep.

And the metal exist as a new born aspect that embodies all technology.

So, you wrote yourself to a corner thanks to your broken character?

I mean, you can either create interesting dynamics, relationships, and establish reasonable limits. Or you can pull a DBZ and do constant power scaling up until only the main character and the villain are worth anything.

I mean really you can't have him knock out every opponent before they can blink what kinda book would that be.

One of the reasons I loved the last pre-52 Flash series was that they did an origin story for Captain Boomerang and showed how he wasn't a match for The Flash... but still managed to tag him with a boomerang once. The Rogues saw that shit and said 'bro, join us.'

I mean that's a pretty badass accomplishment for a guy who was maybe a few weeks into a villainous career.

One of my all time favorites
No, no.

Broken is a Superman-level character with a Green Lantern ring. Enter Sodam Yat.

Yat has the Silver Surfer problem. He's too powerful, so he's always getting clowned.

SS plays in rogue neighborhood usually.

It might be me, but One Million was a piss poor showing for Superman. Dude hid while thousands were getting slaughtered, then waited the last minute to show up and take credit.

That's how I felt about Batman at the beginning of TDK.

I actually didn't like any of One Million but it managed to stick in my mind all these years.

One Million is one of those events where the side stories were worth the suck ass main story

I just wanna know when someone is going to call Barry on fucking up the old DC universe by saving his mother, then not saving his mother, and then listening to Pandora's bullshit about 'three universes becoming one' and then forgetting everything.

The useless shite...

Also, fuck Pandora. What was that 'THREE JOIN FORCES' floating head bullshit about. The stupid bint fucked up the entire timeline and doesn't even remember doing it/recall being a floaty head.
