Deactivating lost or stolen PlayStation systems.

I recently lost an OG PS3 80 GB, a PSP 2000 and a PSPGo through burglary. I went to SEN to deactivate the systems, but it seems you need to have the system to do this. Is there a way to remotely deactivate the systems or do I need to call Sony?

Don't call them. Go to the SEN site, click on the media tab and you should be able to deactivate all slots. I would tell you exact instructions but the page is loading very slow

Same. Did GAF crash SEN lol.

Sucks that you lost all of those through a burglary dude.
Burglars were Sony fans it seems lol. My Wii--tee hee--and 360 were left untouched! Though they did take an old, white DSlite.

No worries. I got most of it back through renters insurance. But burglars and thieves are scum most definitely.

I think it's good to know that you can only do that like once a year unless they changed that.

Servers down. Oh, brother.
Two things I recommend:

1. Call Sony and have all of your systems deactivated immediately. If they direct you to the SEN portal, tell them that you are having trouble accessing the site, and they should (hopefully) be able to handle everything over the phone.

2. Change your PSN (SEN) account password ASAP! This is especially helpful if any of your PSN accounts are set to auto sign-in.

Once every 6 months. I verified it. Did it once in November, and got the option to nuke again.
Once every six months if you do it from the SEN portal. If you call Sony, they can do it at any time as long as you can give proper justification. I personally recently went through system activation/deactivation problems in August.

I used the SEN site to deactivate the systems a couple of months ago, you can use it once every 6 months and the process is very quick.

SEN is currently down, including website login. ;_;

Oh, guess you'll have to wait for the maintenance to be finished.

This doesn't deactivate the console for video content does it? No such deactivate all options appear under the video or music tabs.

Yeah the SEN server lets you reset them all every 6 months I believe, it's amazing that it took Sony so long to allow an online option as their SUPPORT team are normally quite reluctant to deactivate machines if you are not still in possession of them.

I was activated on 5 systems.
1. Mine
2. My GF
3. My best friend (for when I was at his place)
4. My parents house
5. Another friend

Friend 5 turned out to be a mistake to put my tag on, as he later sold his console. He deleted my name off there, but failed to deactivate my account from it.

Later, I got yellow light of death. sent my system in for repair, and they completely replaced it. When trying to set up my account I had reached the limit.

Called Sony, managed to talk a rep into deactivating all 5 so I can start from scratch. It took quite a bit of convincing. She was only going to let me deactivate 1 from the Yellow light of death but ended up being an awesome customer service rep in the end.

you can remotely deactivate all systems tied to your account through the playstation website, but if you only want to cut a single system you need to call them.
