Well how is the performance? If it at least runs competently it's the best version thus far!
Someone in the Steam Community is reporting that the game is running at 60 FPS during gameplay and 30 FPS during cut-scenes. No further information was provided.
Durante Premonition pls?

You guys can call me whatever you want, but I'm getting this anyway.

Maybe it is trivial. Personally i give more slack to devs in this situation. This is exactly how the Dark Souls thread began before people started throwing around "entitled" like a frisbee. Creating an option that adjusts a game's internal rendering resolution is a very trivial thing and there's simply no excuse for it missing in a game powered by a 3D renderer.
It's always Japanese developer that do this non sense,is it hard to add in simple shit like resolution? Maybe it's harder than I think.
This is getting embarrassing.I should be able to fix this.

For a Japanese developer's first effort on the platform, i'm less bothered with that. Would you rather no game at all? And it's a learning experience for them. Look how good the PC version of Dark Souls 2 is shaping to be.
It's a post 32-bit game. Those almost always benefit from a higher resolution.Would higher resolutions make a big difference to this? It wasn't exactly a pretty game, IIRC.

I can't say for sure yet of course, please don't buy the game expecting a fix!!

And people do need to remember Durante wasn't responsible for the FPS fix, just the resolution fix in Dark Souls... which DOES make it valid to hope he provides a fix here. Still, it sounds like here they simply don't offer resolution options, whereas Dark Souls did but rendered internally at 1024x720 anyway.
I think it has more to do with them not being used to PC gaming and what people expect out of PC versions of games. I'm glad they're trying though, I love me some japanese games and I'd love to have all of them on Steam. From is using the PC as the base platform for Dark Souls after their wonky port of the first one because they learned from their mistake, and that's pretty cool.
I'm still completely ok with people refusing to buy games because of this though, and I think it's ridiculous when people call gamers entitled for demanding quality. Although I do think it's unrealistic to expect quality from this particular game. As I said, something stupid like a 30fps lock with frequent dips even with high end hardware wouldn't surprise me at all (doesn't mean I'd like it, but wouldn't surprise me).

You know what is funny, everybody goes "oh japanese developers" but forget that freaking Capcom made three of the best console ports with DMC4, RE5 and RE6, this is just laziness.
edit bah I messed up the title as always! Mods fix it please!

Japanese devs strike again. whyyy
Durante pls
They have a western publisher, which should (and maybe did) inform them so again no excuses.
Yeah definitely, hopefully Eidos does the FF15 PC port.
You're absolutely right.
That would be amazing. I still can't wrap my head around the possibility of FF XV on PC. I've been waiting for this fucking game for so long. Bought my PS3 for it, haha

ya, I definitely in a camp, better they try than don't.
It's a pity that PC gaming still isn't popular in Japan.
It's a talent problem. PC gaming is much more difficult to program for. Most of these companies in the East are struggling, and failing, to keep up with the west even in console development.
I'm pretty surprised to find out this is a port of a 2010 game. I seriously thought this was an HD port of a Sega Dreamcast game.
