Deadpool (2013) coming to Xbox One and PS4

Never got round to actually playing this so I'm really pleased I will be able to pick it up for ps4 since I really can't go back to playing on PS3 these days.

Will pay £20-£30 at most though.

Why? The game wasn't even that good in the first place, I'd rather take a remaster of xmen origins wolverine over this.

Ummmm, hell yes! If Activision is getting on the port train, then it will all be worth it to get Wolverine Origins on current gen. Such a fantastic game. Would have loved a sequel.

Hell for that matter, bring on both Cybertron Transformer games.

This is actually a really, really good game. It perfectly capture's Deadpool. The only letdown was the lame last boss.

The only Deadpool it captures is the bastardized trainwreck of memes that Daniel Way turned the character into. It doesn't have any of the nuance, depth or interesting characteristics that Joe Kelly, Fabian Nicieza, Gail Simone, Rick Remender, Gerry Duggan or Brian Posehn gave him that made him such an endearing and long-lasting character.

BWAHAHAHA!

So rather than making a new Deadpool game to ride on the movie hype, they're just going to squirt out a re-release of the last one for full retail price.

Oh Activision, that's... actually a new type of a lazy ass scummy practice I can only appreciate at this point.

I enjoyed the game, so I'll most likely be picking up a copy of this. When its cheaper.
If Activision is starting to port their games, they could do a double collection of the Transformers Cybertron games. Now that I would buy in a heartbeat. Even for $50.

I'd have no qualms over this being ported to next-gen were it not for that atrocious Prototype hack job. Activision are bottom-of-barrel when it comes to remasters –– looking for quick cash-ins without thinking of their long-term reputation as a publisher.

All of their developers are too busy making Call of Duty maps.

$50 bucks though?

Good posts.

If it was £25 and I'd buy it day one, see how UK pricing goes, but it's probably gonna be £49.99 which is about $75 USD cos we always get ripped off.

Tbh, I found that Daniel Way treating him as more of a 'comedy' character is the only time the character has actually been entertaining.

Lol. I suspect we've got another quality port a la Prototype incoming. And for $50? Holy shit, Activision.

My thoughts exactly, the definition of 'slapdash port' I bet.

And $50 is absolutely insane. I'd have maybe doubledipped for like $20 but $50? Combine that with a release the same day as Battlefront and Activision are just asking for this game to fail.

I would exercise great caution, because if Activision's previous Prototype Biohazard "remasters" are anything to go by, avoid this like the plague, especially at this price.

Honestly, Activison I feel are one of the few who are so out of touch with the gaming community, even compared to EA and Ubisoft. They're perfect examples of suits who just care about $$$.

I mean even take the smallest things as an example: their pricing; it's an absolute travesty. On Xbox and PS sales, they are never appealing discounts. Despite EA being...well, EA, they do put up a bunch of games on sale and they do put some ridiculously good prices sometimes. Like, why is Call of Duty 4 and it's DLC still so expensive? Who the hell is buying that when they put it up for 25% off with the DLC still being $10?

They also think they can get away with releasing trash ports like that Biohazard one. And are always the exception with how long they continue last gen sport; yeah excluding your EA sports games, they released a damn PS2 games in 2010! Last gen, a lot of their damn games that were Superhero games were releasing on last-last gen, I mean they weren't even sports games. Hell, Black Ops III is still the only one releasing on last gen this fall that's not a sports games, at least other publishers had the decency to cancel last gen version. Hell, the PS3/360 versions of BOIII are stripped down version and you get less add-on content and features, except for the same price and Season Pass. (MGSV is an exception considering it's been in development for a much longer time and console sales/transfer etc and all that)

They just annoy me a lot because of their old ways and just care about money money money. Yes, of course all companies do, but ATVI go above and beyond.

And of course Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.

I thought they lost the rights to the game or something? I remember it being pulled from Steam.

Oh, it came back this summer.

I have a question.

Why?

I love deadpool as a character but that game was not good. I played through it and made it disappear asap. There is a lot to do to make that game worthy of a port/remaster. The graphics were fine at the time but would need a 1080/60 amp up the camera in the game was the biggest enemy and needs fixed.
Btw what dlc did this game even have?
Again why?

I don't get the whine and hate in this thread.

This is awesome news for me. I had suspicions they'd either remaster, port or at least BC the game on X1 to cash in on the movie next Feb. I didn't expect it this soon though.

I loved it on 360 and what it fell shirt of I combat it more than made up for in Deadpool humour. That said, I even enjoyed the combat - very similar to the Arkham games but just needs a little something extra.

Day one for me!

50$ for 3 year old game and no improvoments(based on Prototype release)
no i liked game but just no it was 6-7 hours licenced game

Here's how I imagine this conversation at ATVI went down.

"Hrm, there's a Deadpool movie coming out."
"Really, we made a Deadpool game."
"Maybe we should re-release it to try and double dip on the profits!"
"You'll get a promotion for this, guaranteed"
"You can't promote me... I'm the CEO."

Deadpool actually wasn't that bad, but it's not worth $50 in 2015 though. I would wait until it's around $20, but I don't want to too long since some of the Acitivsion license games price went up due to losing the license for some of the games.
