I like to think people did read the first post, saw OP used a portmanteau of two franchise names (Metroid and Castlevania) in his own example and said "fuck it, let's just post shit that sounds awesome and have fun with this thread despite the contradictory mess of instructions."

I mean, how's OP going to describe Metroidvania gameplay in a single word otherwise? Similarly, how are a lot of these ideas going to be communicated succinctly with this arbitrary limitation?
