Can't wait to see the response with Cyberpunk when it comes out. I can already predict it won't look as good as DeS to most of you.

I was thinking similar things. the visuals are good, but the levels seem lifeless. There is zero AI in any enemy you meet prior to a Boss. You just run up block once, and attack a few times to kill it. I'd be shocked to see reviewers say this is next gen. it's pretty but i feel like it could be done on playstation 4.

I guess souls games are not for me.

It's a PS3 game remade for PS5 with brand new animations, graphics. I don't get these "Lifeless levels", "zero AI" comments. That's how it played on PS3 and of course, those aspects will be retained here. What were you expecting?

I mean, you do see that, tho. Take RDR2 for example. Many people comment on it being one of, if not the best looking game they've seen, and that is across platforms. But there is no hivemind and you'll never get complete agreement, if that's what you're wanting.

A remaster is the same game with improved things, like models, textures, effects, etc.
A remake is the same game make from scratch again. Different code, engine, everything.

One thing that I will say is that the game mode shown are with the performance mode and I'll say they're on par with DS edging it out. So much salty people in here regarding demon souls graphics... this game is insane in that department but is only natural as is the only really next gen game... completely made for ps5... all other ps5 and sex launch games are cross gen so they would never reach this level of fidelity..

Demons souls is just a glimpse regarding what we will get next gen once games become next gen only..

With this said people in here denying that demon souls have the best graphics in any video game made until this date is need their eyes checked... and the quality mode with 4K native and RT lighting and shadows will be glorious to behold...

The remake one. I have a huge hard-on for tragic epic themes. Besides, it's action oriented. The original sounds more like a stage theme rather than a boss theme. It's too drowsy and sleepy and completely inappropriate to a life-or-death encounter.

I'm aware of that, in fact i criticized the animations when he was blocking with the shiled in the first gameplay trailer but not anymore because i readed about the character being op and it's okay, infinite poise do that in souls games.

I'm talking when he slash enemies, it looks like the sword is not really hitting them, it lacks force in the hit and how they fall down, without an inch of kinetic force from the sword hit (sorry i don't know how to explain this with better words), the finishers are okay tho.

I'm pretty sensible to this shit, not everyone pay attention to these details, i'm aware of that.

The game looks incredible but I agree with all your points. It feels like you're hitting enemies with a foam stick with no kinetic feedback.

No matter how much I parade PC gaming. This is very true, currently. Give it 2-3 more years until you can build a PC that can push graphics at that level for $500.

I mean, it's gonna take about that long for a decent chunk of people to get their hands on these consoles anyway. Of course many people don't need to build a PC for $500, they likely already have parts like CPU that outperform next gen consoles and can keep those and only upgrade GPU or similar down the line.

Nor is a $500 PC some kind of holy grail metric, you save elsewhere after all, or just like investing a little more to get back a lot more. Or hell, you don't even care to get more so you just play on PC for other reasons even if your PC doesn't output the visuals and when eventually you do upgrade get free remasters.
