Deodorant you Fucking Asshole.

what you need is to look solely for a deodorant, and not an antiperspirant. the latter are responsible for the chalky, caked residue on your shirts and armpit hair. just go for a traditional spray on deodorant - the strong fragrance of most will usually cover you up well for most of the day.

you could alternatively purchase some of those all natural salt-water antiperspirants that leave zero residue. i've used them for about a year and i think they work. i don't know really. i'm just glad i ditched the sticks/gels and have smooth armpits again.

I used this Adidas thing and it has lasted me forever, like 2 sticks and I'm in my fourth year of uni. Does being asian help? The adidas is a brown solid that hasn't caused any of the problems outlined in the OP. I'm going to try the Right Guard Xtreme now. I can't really smell the Adidas on me, but I guess that's normal isn't it?

Is it normal to sweat in the underarms when wearing a deodorant and not an anti-perspirant?

I use the Adidas deodorant and it's great.
Smells nice and one stick has lasted forever...

EDIT: ^ Haha it's not just you.

ironically this doesn't have a lower hazard rating than most other sticks according to skindeep. I'm not knocking it, I was just curious.

wtf? This is the only natural type of product I've tried, and I've tried a bunch, that actually worked.

Any type of Gel deodorant is what I use. Usually Right Guard or Gillette, whichever is on sale.

Gel based deodorant feels just odd and leave wet marks on shirt.

I have never experienced this problem.

Deodorant does nothing for me. I always use antiperspirant because it seems to work a lot better. Anyway I use the new gillette one

This is what you do:

1) Trim under-arm hair (note: do not shave) if you have a lot as it traps odor.
2) Use soap to wash thoroughly under your arms.
3) Use a spray on antipersperant deoderant under your arms to stop you from sweating.
4) Use a body spray on your chest and shoulders (note: not under your arms) to counter the smell of the antipersperant.

Damnit the internet has failed me yet again, I was going to post a video of the kids in the hall where scott thompson plays a dude whose armpits smell awesome but I couldn't find it.
