"We can't deport people just because you don't like them - Assistant Intern to the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Under Secretariat of the Department of Immigration"

The last time the NSA directly affected my life was never. The last time Bieber affected my life was last night when my kid brother wouldn't stop playing his drek. It's not hard to see why people care more about the popstar than the government spies.

I was kind of assuming that petition was some sort of comment on how pointless petitions and other forms of slacktivism are.

People are serious about this shit? Really?

.... I guess not serious enough to spend more than two seconds doing something about it, so the point still stands.

It's official, GAF has a Defense Force for everything...
So you disagree that people rallying behind getting some bratty teenager deported couldn't better spend their efforts on something else? There are hundreds of thousands of teenagers that have done things much worse than he has so I don't see the point in getting all worked up over this one stupid teenager.

Hundreds of thousands of teenagers are not public figures.

Also, you're on a gaming forum talking about Bieber. Can't your efforts be better spent on something else?

Thought this was ridiculous.

Then thought of the number of Central American immigrants who would get deported for far less.

Now I'm ambivalent to the petition and would not think it unjust were he deported.

The petition should have been about how this little punk basically gets away with something that others would not have.

Try visiting another country and doing the shit he does without being rich and famous and see how long you last.

i dunno about Florida, but GA also has 'zero tolerance' for DUIs and my 18 year old cousin got popped for speeding, blew over 0.08 (and under 21 is 0.02 not 0.08) and got off with a fine and like 20 hours of community service. not even a license suspension! Bieber got this shit in the bag.

Man, it's crazy how the hate for this guy rises up so much. Some of it is fair, considering every stupid thing he does being a kid is on public display.

But America can't just get rid of him after it corrupted his pure, innocent soul in the first place. You don't ask back for a used handkerchief after someone blew into it, you keep that and give back a new one, or run it through the wash a couple dozen times if ever.

As if making Bieber move to Canada is gonna change anything. He's still going to be a dumbass and a bad example to his fans no matter what country he is in.

Anyone lesser would have been deported already for the shit he's done. I don't really care personally. And it's the same story ad nauseum. Celebrity is above the law etc. what else is new.

We gave to the Americans a young baby-faced YouTube sensation with a decent voice. He was nice, respectful, he could've become anybody.

Instead, they want to give us back some tatted-up "thug" (LOL), who eggs people's houses, urinates into mop buckets, drives recklessly under the influence of alcohol and drugs, visits brothels etc.

No thanks, you made this Justin Bieber, you now have to live with the consequences.

The blood will tell, Canadians.

smh

this is what the american people can rally behind... not the NSA, or the infringement on net-neutrality, or drone strikes.

If it weren't for the Eurostralian who broke the NSA story and is currently in exile from his country, we wouldn't have anyone to save us.

you guys try so hard and always fail with these shitty comments, just stop.

Don't care either way, but he should be held accountable for his actions. I'm still laughing at the $2,500 fine he just recently got. Like he doesn't have that in his sock. Pocket change.

Y'know, putting the execution of it aside, the whole WhiteHouse Petition website thing is a really cool attempt at directly reaching the masses and giving them a platform, and people go and ruin it with stupid shit like this. This is why we can't have nice things.

This should be the response: "We'll deport Beiber if all Americans pretend to forget the whole Snowden thing happened and agree that drone strikes are absolutely necessary"

Well that's a childish petition. People really do have too much free time on their hands...

Seriously it is hilarious to me people put this much effort into hating someone they've never met. The anti-Bieber people are just as strange to me as the Bieber obsessed. But at least they're rallying behind something they all commonly like. Instead of just a crowd of angry people for unknown reasons.

You cousin must be a rich, entitled celebrity with unlimited money and an army of lawyers at his back to get off with such a slap on the wrist. I'd know I've been on the internet where everyone is an expert on everything.

apparently he goes to Phish concerts and has a blast because Phish fans treat him like a normal guy. well...probably after yelling something funny at him, but nonetheless. He even got their lighting director to do his tour.

That doesn't even make sense.

Does this make sense to anybody here?

Is underage drinking illegal in the US or isn't it? I thought it was.

Underage drinking is illegal, but .02 is the legal threshold Florida recognizes as a minor being unlawfully under the influence. In other words, having a BAC of less than .02 means the alochol could have come from some other source than underage drinking.

I can't wait for the response from the WH, should be interesting.

The response should be: Stop embarassing yourselves, Americans, and learn the laws of your country. Justin Bieber is in the country lawfully and has done nothing to jeopardize his status. DUI is not a deportable offense. Driving without a license is a not a deportable offense. Resisting arrest without violence is not a deportable offense. Racing is not a deportable offense. For a list of deportable offenses please see Section 237 (2) (A) of the INA (Immigration and Nationality Act).

Wow. When motivated to kick someone out of the country, this is the worst person they can think of? How embarrassing.

"We'll keep our kiddy fiddlers and mass murderers, just someone please take our singing egg thrower!"

Way to prioritize.

Lol Ataraxia you must be awesome at playing Papers Please.

Signed! This needs to be addressed immediately! We can't live with this threat to national security within our borders.

Ah, come on, guys, be resonable, Canada's economy depends on Bieber right now. Send him packing and Canada will bomb the Baldwins.
