lol "get access to expansion one and expansion two"

I won't fall for that again. My fault because I didn't realize last time that "season 1" meant only part of the dlc.

sounds like a decent year 2 buy.

Sooo, should I get Destiny 2 if I have no friends or group to play it with?

I'm still going back and forth if I want to jump into a game where I'll have to find a group of strangers every time I want to raid, and have hours to spent on raids every night.

DestinyGAF will be your friend, don't you worry about that. You won't struggle to find a friendly team to raid with.

yes.

when all my friends stopped playing i had to find groups/people to raid with on lfg and at the end of every raid i'd send friend requests to people i got along with/thought were cool. made a few friends that way. and if you do something similar you won't have to find a new group every time, you can just schedule it with the people you add/get along with in these same groups. there's also destinygaf.

finding people to play destiny with is nowhere near as hard or a bad experience as some make it seem.

Missed all the other preorders and ended up with a Xbox 1 CE Bundle from GS. Wanted the PS4 version but really needed that bag.

Sucks they emphasizes how you can't return any of the extra items.

You could easily sell the Xbox digital codes and sell the "Used' XBone disc and buy a PS4 one.

Yeah, I'm currently making a Frankenstein edition with an Xbox One Collector's Edition, physical PlayStation 4 Limited Edition, and digital PlayStation 4 standalone game. I'll resell the Limited Edition inside the XB1 CE and resell the game disc that comes with the PS4 LE.

Wait and see.

Depending on how D2 works out how what Bungie does with matchmaking and how it places story content you might just have to be OK with never completing the story like with D1.

I know DestinyGAF failed me time and again when I was looking to raid. DestinyLFG for first time raiders isnt exactly friendly.

I have faith Bungie will probably sort all that out with 2 though. They will have options. If they dont... boy.

When did you jump in?

I agree, if you enter in late or fall significantly behind, getting a raid together can be near impossible.

Yeah so the LE being 110 € everywhere means I won't buy it.

A season pass and a couple of shitty digital bonuses means +50-60 € compared to standard edition ? Kindly fuck off with that shit, Activision.

Guess I also should thank them for forcing me to do the reasonable choice. I'll buy the standard ed then wait to see if the expansions are worth getting.

Tried a few times. Had Destiny since day 1.

Tried to raid when VOG was still fresh

Then later when I got the DLC for cheap pre TTK.

Then a month or two after TTK was out.

I was raid ready as far as light levels go. At the tine DGAF just had already established groups and the noob raid group they tried seemed to come together randomly in a blue moon so unless I stalked the thread 24/7 I never had a shot.

Eventually I gave up.

Hope Bungie has matchmaking for raids in 2. None is a mess.

I was on Xbox One, I used to literally just sit in the tower asking if people wanted to play. Eventually we had such a large group wed have to split it up to two or three different raids each week. I've been playing with the some peeps now since VoG. Some people are just more willing to help out than others. I'm still leaning towards not really wanting matchmaking in Raids.

I can relate with your issues, and I recommend the100.io to anyone
It's easy. You plan a date in advance, people will fill in the slots your missing, and you can even request for experienced players to guide you on the raid. Someone doesn't show up people apply for a waiting list. Great community too

That's strange I know when I played (a lot) I use to pay attention to posts that involves new players. Assuming you're on PS4? If not then I understand. I know there was a group specific to guiding new players The raid by a gaffer.

Xbox does have LFG and better social tools built in this time around. Will be interesting to see which side has a more smooth experience. Obviously PC has gaming communities......and I'm not talking these kiddie group things on PS4. I'm talking voice chat in teamspeak or discord anytime your playing. I've never had that feeling where I was part of a family on consoles.

I still say whichever console incorporates a VoIP software such as vent, teamspeak or discord firsts.......will truly transform their platform

the100.io is btw the only way in going to play D2 outside DGAF since I'm on PS4

100.io is cool but you shouldn't have to use outside websites in place of basic features that a video game based around playing with other people should have. Nor should need to set up a schedule to Raid. Once you run through it the first time, they really don't take forever. You should be able to meet up with people in the game and just go do a Raid. Simple as that.

And I feel bad for new players who jumped in with The Collection last September. Loving the game? Want to experience the original Raids or Prison of Elders as you make your way through the game for the first time? Good luck with that.

Destiny 2 needs in-game LFG for Raids and Trials. Optional matchmaking for literally every other activity. Anything less isn't acceptable.

Bumped this to say that the PS4 LE of Destiny 2 is back in stock at GameStop I'm pretty sure many of you got your pre-orders in already.

Initially I pre-ordered the CE at BB but then decided I didn't want it and couldn't pre-order a LE because by then it had already sold out. Also I didn't wanna give GameStop my money but whatevs.

I've had an account on this here message board for a long, long time. Never posted a thing. Don't ask why I made an account, I don't know. But I'm happy I did.

Because thank you. Because you posted here and by some chance I saw said post , and now I've pre-ordered the special edition of this video game I wanted.

So thanks dawg. I'm giving you an air-five, I hope you reciprocate, and I hope you have a pleasant day.

Why is it so hard to keep the Limited Edition in stock? The Xbox One version is still unavailable.

Did anyone get the Bag Edition on console? How's the build quality of the bag? I still have a PC preorder and need to decide whether to keep it.

EDIT: searched some other threads, and holy shit I'm keeping it. NewEgg had better come through for me.
Not sure if this was posted.

Detailed bag unboxing

Alright finally someone did a better job showing off the bag. I'm back on board. At least its made from better materials then I thought from the op video

It's WAY better than I expected. But that solar USB thing is a joke, really. It works, but it's clunky and way too unnecessary on the bag itself.

Small upside - every time you visit Hawthorne in game you get to see her wearing it.
