A game doesnt need to be a technical marvel in order to be CPU intensive. Being badly optimized is enough.

It's actually a well optimized game when running on balanced hardware. Jaguar just ain't got what it takes.

I agree that dlc stuff has been happening forever now, but is there another game that's held back dlc for over a year? I can understand a few months or something, but Xbox FINALLY got the first DLC that was held back AFTER D2 came out. Idc if it's "business" or not. That's complete bullshit. Especially to the fans who got you where you are today. No one even knew Bungie made games til after Halo. Ask someone who made Oni and they'll look at you confused (if they even know what that game is). Ask someone who made Halo and they can most likely tell you.

The PlayStation 3 and 4 versions of Destiny had a exclusive content all the way from the launch of Destiny until the release of Destiny 2, not just with TTK and ROI. I believe that's what he's referring to.

Nothing is confirmed, unless an analysis is done. ACO was said to be native 4k too and a few other titles in the marketting buzz just after E3....

Not what I remember....I watched the conference and before the video run it said 4k with HDR, the announcer said it was 4k and I believe I saw some 4k footage recently at DF, where it was said to be the XBONEX version....They now think it was basically a high spec PC that was used then, but that's marketing for you, people already believed though..


As I said, the only way we can know anything these days is under the microscope, not even journalists or game reviewers are past hyperbole and sometimes just plain wrong assessments. I still remember the Penny arcade guy's account of ACO on XBONEX hardware.."he said it was a different game to other platforms" it was so smooth and crisp. You would have thought he played a different game entirely....

In any case HDR should do a world of good to Destiny 2, but I really believe a high framerate mode would be more beneficial overall. 1080p, lower some settings whydontya...

What was it though? The only PS exclusive content from vanilla, IIRC, were Hawkmoon, Fourth Horseman, Monte Carlo, some rare armor, and 2 strikes. Those became available on Xbox when TTK came out. The PS exclusives available from TTK through to when D2 came out were mostly the Sublime Engrams, a few exotics, and a strike. They became available a few weeks after D2 launched.

This is why I was confused, because the statements being made are silly.


Also, the HDR news is nice but I'm kiiiind of hoping that maybe HDR support is also there for the standard PS4 and XBOS because they're both perfectly capable of it.
