Destruction: All Stars 30 minute gameplay walkthrough

I don't get the hate on gfx tho.. textures look next gen. Animations of characters looks stunning.
The game is just really really shit and not fun to play.
It lacks maps.
It lacks unlockables.
crammed with in app sheit.
so called story is also behind a paywall.

this was never in a million years 70 dollars XD

Graphically it looks great, loving those RT reflections all over the stages. This is 4K/60 as well right?

That picture probably applies more to someone who bought plus for this game alone.

Rocket League and Bleeding Edge are fun. This isn't.

It's like someone had an idea for a game and no one had the balls to tell them to stop before dev time and money were wasted.
Bleeding edge is fucking terrible ..dont even mention it in the same breath as Rocket League

game isn't fun. too bad because there's some promise burried under rough mechanics and design decisions. no camera control in the car is inexcusable and makes you feel like you're aimlessly driving in circles until you see someone. you also lose them immediately if you miss on your line. tracking players in general is just hopeless. cars controls feel clunky.

the game modes you can play with a party are limited to 8v8 objective based games (why no deathmatch?). being out of your vehicle isn't satisfying I'm not going to run around collecting fucking gems so you're basically just hopping to the next car. no stakes when cars can seemingly only knock you down momentarily.

only had fun when I unlocked my special car with the huge shredder on the front which was satisfying IF I managed to make contact with someone... which really just made me want a battlebots game.

surprised the horrible feel of the game wasn't playtested better especially with the delay. maybe some of these things get addressed in patches but the lack of camera controls isnt likely to when they opted to put the boost controls on the right stick (WHY) - and I'm not playing if that's absent regardless of what else gets fixed

...there's no camera control in the car? What?

Man these impressions are a bummer, I was really hoping for some good clean fun.

Or they decided to lock stuff behind a paywall when they made this a free Plus download.

Doesn't sound good. But I expected nothing. I think we would be better off with a Motorstorm remaster.

They were gonna charge full price for this?

Good on them moving it to PSPlus.
Dont even bother printing disks for this....itll be a huge waste of plastic.

P.S Real talk is Jian a dude?

6 months from now on there will be a tweet from devs about stopping supporting game and moving on lol. This is sony's bleeding edge.

I know it's stylish to hate on this thing... but a buddy and I gave it a real shot last night and it "clicked " after maybe the 3rd game. We were having a blast. The on foot controls felt great to me... an opportunity to collect shards and wall running is great. You learn the best paths to get back into a car. Some special "limit break" cars are really great. The game (on an OLED anyway) is really stunning to look at. I wouldn't have been upset at all to pay for this on launch (as long as the emote microtransaction stuff wasn't there for that price).

Looking forward to playing again. Add me! PSN: Feisar

There's no way the lack of music is intentional, right? That shit has to be bugged.

Literally everyone who is playing/watching this on Twitch is asking where the music is.

I was wondering if this was because my game is still installing but seems to be the case :/

I hopped on right after the game became available and I'm wondering if the initial excitement I heard from players in game has worn off yet.

Forgot to turn off voice chat and the first thing I hear from new players was "This is lit!"

i thought the game was fun from the matches I've had...not sure why all the hate..i'm sure its going to be worked on and evolve a bit but its fun for me so far..

Yeah not really feeling this. No camera control in-car is mind boggling. They map the Right Stick to doing various "shunts" to do damage to other cars which just feels weird. It should be based on how the car is weighted and where you hit another car at rather than just flicking the right stick to "hit" them.

No idea why there's on-foot gameplay. You don't even KO someone if you run over them they just fall down and...get right back up to hop in a car.

It's really a weird game. I couldn't even see how to "win" at all. Every match just...ended with no scoreboard or stats or anything. Maybe it'll get better with time and updates but I imagine most people will move on after about an hour of playing it.

One of the shittest games i've played for a long time, the fact they was going to charge £70 for this is mind boggling.

I could force myself to play it with some friends and probably have a laugh or two... but why do that when there are good games out there? will revisit if it gets some significant patches and more importantly adds camera control to the cars

The on-foot stuff is probably what makes this the worst game of 2021. The characters don't seem to fit on the environment like an old Tiger LCD game.

If this game didn't have the PS Studios opening logo on it, people would be trashing it more.

"We have a plan, we have a roadmap, not just for the ... launch window of the game, but for the first three, four weeks down the line, for a couple of months down the line, for the next year," says McLaughlin, with new characters, new game modes, and more all planned for free in the future. "We've got a plan on a schedule of content over the coming year that I think is going to keep people entertained and engaged and keep them coming back and wonder what they're dropping this week, and wonder what they're dropping next week."

Yes it's live on PS Plus. Played each match type in Arcade mode and played some MP matches. Controls are overly loose, being out of the car in the middle of a match is just stupid.
I actually like that they allow you to get out of the car in the middle of a match (I want to see for myself when I get a PS5 how it feels gameplay wise but I think that was a good way to handle it.)

So far it seems because it's not on Xbox. I know for a fact some people in this thread would be the ones defending it if it was the other way around. But I won't say more on that because I don't want this thread to discuss or go that route. From what I have seen of the gameplay it has the potential to be good but I feel like its missing some features that would take it there (e.g. rockets, more speed.)

You say in your own post that you don't have a PS5, yet you're in this thread defending a piece of shit and trying to stir up console wars claiming people just don't like it because it's not on Xbox. The game is really bad. But then again, since you don't have a PS5 you have no frame of reference.
