Believe me it ain't because it ain't on Xbox. The game is bad - it's okay there are better games on PlayStation don't worry

lol where or how was I defending the game? As for my comment regarding it not being on Xbox, well that is just the vibe I was getting as I was reading some of the posts here. I made sure to mention 'some people' in this thread so clearly not referring to everyone. Not sure why you are so bothered by it. I'm not passing judgement on the game just yet.

Oh haha, what do you mean? Is that a reference to Twisted Metal? From the previews I saw it could use that which could make it a lot more fun or dynamic (was kinda hoping that this would be the Calling of Cars game for the PS4.) Right now it just seems like you're driving around and smashing into other cars and the smashing part doesn't seem to affect cars that much. I should probably wait till I have a PS5 before saying anymore.

Need to play more, but agree. Fast, looks good and has enough mechanics to make it interesting.
 
It's like a destruction derby but in an arena. I'm not a multiplayer fan so l played one round and that's it. Not quite sure of the other mode but will try it out.
 
Not sure why GAF wants to hate on this game so much.
I sat down to check it out last night, and I was there 3 hours later having a great time.
All Mayhem, and I've only tried about 4 of the characters.
I can't wait to play more.

Played it this evening and I'm definitely trying to get used to what I'm supposed to be striving for from moment to moment, but I'm having fun. I'd like to play with some friends and see what that's like.

I'll keep at it. It's good enough to warrant some more play time at least.

agreed with some improvements it could end up being a legit MP game...i would say its got good bones, lets see how it fleshes out
 
Im finding myself jumping on this game to do some quick Carnado matches every time i turn on the console, then play something else, and before i turn off the console i have to do another 2 or 3 matches. IT IS FUN!

And i dont even like arena multiplayer games. The hero cars are doing the trick for me i guess. Dont think it will hold me for too long, but for now, it hooked me.

I really don't understand all the flak this game is getting in this forum, it's damn fun, really responsive and from the matches I played really well balanced. It has nothing on Bleeding Edge, it's 1000x a better game. But well, opinions, gotta respect them.

Yeah, they where smart, cuz they limit the amout of repeated characters ppl can use. So ppl cant go all with the same OP character and spam the same OP power. Matches end up with ppl using alot of diferent characters

The challenge mode yes, the single player arcade mode no.

You have access to the 1st set of challenges for free, the other set is locked behind premium currency, and thers a 3rd set that is in a countdown and not available yet.

They say in a future update they will add ways where players can earn that premium currency just by playing the game, but for now thers no way to earn that currency.

trigger feel cool when playing... that's about all I can say that is positive. Free is to much really.
 

Verdict:

Destruction AllStars is chaotic, loud, and a lot of fun.

The perfect party game with friends, provided everyone has a PS5 of course, and ideal for all ages. With developer support promised for at least a year, and almost certainly beyond, it looks set to take over Twitch and be a game you keep coming back to over and over again. We can certainly live with limited single-player options when the multiplayer is so slick and easy to fall in love with.

I think the game is not on sale yet. Its free on PS+ for the next 2 months.
All the physical stores i checked has the game as "Unavailable"
