Detroit Become Human - E3 2016 Trailer

Kinda obvious. The other one "malfunctioned" (red circle on his face) and can feel. Connor is still a Droid functioning as intended (lifeless and serving).

I think my problem was that at least in that trailer Daniel could of just been a guy. There was literary nothing android about anything he did.
Maybe I'm just nitpicking.

Either way I like this protagonist should make for an interesting guy to have a remorseless machine.

The dead eyes fit the theme, at least.

Quantic Dream's games have never been my favorite but I've always enjoyed playing them. Will definitely give this a play though it looks like the bulk of the gameplay is still just contextual choices.

The city's lookin' damn good too.

I see they solved their uncanny valley problem by just making the characters actual androids

I thought that was rad to be honest. Really reminded me of Heavy Rain, but with a cyberpunk slant.
Same. People are confused again and think they replaced a character lol. We just have multiple characters again with widely different stakes in the overall plot and gameplay mechanics. Connor fills Nahman Jayden's shoes and can probably be killed off early if you wish or suck. I think they might live demo this tomorrow with Colin/Greg and play it out

Yea I think we have seen this with Kara that the "endstage" is sort of almost fully human, but with child like attitude/wonder in some ways.

Game looks like it could be interesting. I wonder if the scenario shown is the only one, or if there will be more scenarios with "branching stories"

It's pretty obvious QD are opting for multiple playable leads again, a la Heavy Rain. Do people really think this Connor geezer replaced Kara?! Haha.

That's true, maybe I should wait for the whole story and that might explain him developing sentience within the investigation and this is just when he fully developed it.

Looks silly but they really nailed the architecture of the city.

And obviously I'm going to play it, either to enjoy it or birch about it lol.

I am SO glad to see a return to the branching story of Heavy Rain, assuming this is indeed that. Beyond was basically a movie that barely cared whether I was sitting there behind the controls or not, but Heavy Rain is one of very few games I know of where pretty much everything you do has consequences.

I'll say this for the game - it will lead to yet another hilarious Best Friends LP.

So with that in mind - Thank you, David Cage, for allowing the Sadness Trilogy to grow.

There will definitely be more. It's one of the main things they have in mind with Detroit

Yes this is indeed it. I know for a fact they listed to people complaining about Beyond and its lack of drastic branching and they try to address that. They hired multiple writers specifically to handle the increase in workload coming from increased branching

Quantic Dream! Emotions emotions and lots of emo.... Oh wait a minute. The android doesn't have any emotions... >.>

Is David Cage playing a trick on me? You sneaky sneaky man.

Seriously, I'm hoping the story is done well.

I'm down for this. Wasn't particularly excited by Beyond: Two Souls, but the cyberpunk android setting is much more intriguing to me. I'm okay with David Cage, so I'm interested to see just how choicey he makes this one.

Heavy Rain: Cyberpunk? I'm totally in. These kind of games are really the Point'n'Clicks of our time. And I love both.

Really liked the look of this. Defo one of the best in show. Liked the choices and the consequences that followed.

Did wonder about the girl android but like Heavy Rain I assume there will be multiple playable characters.

Last year's reveal interested me quite a bit. Tonight's showing sold me on the game. Loved Heavy Rain. And Beyond, while deeply flawed, was decent. Detroit seems closer to Heavy Rain structurally.

I still wish that the game was simply called "Detroit" though...or at least had something better than "Beyond Human".

I was honestly on the edge of my seat until the very last line...

So corny and over-used. Why end a perfectly good trailer with that shit? xD

I never thought a highlight of Sony's conference would be Detroit. After that overly dramatic trailer from Gamescom that I found a little off-putting, I'm now totally won over on the prospect of buying and playing this game. Kudos QD, you got me hype.

I saw people making L.A. Noire comparisons on Youtube. I guess that's why I love what I saw.

Damn, I would be so hyped for this if I didn't know Cage was behind it. A great detective game based around morality of choices and unintended consequences would be fantastic. But we're probably going to have EMOTIONS shoved down our throats, ruining it. :(
