Detroit Become Human - E3 2016 Trailer

Press can already play it and QD teased a surprise for Thursday. Would be ace if this gets put on PSN. Their games usually demo very well

I didn't say the trailer was pretentious. If it isn't just Cage writing and directing then it has a shot at being a lot better over all than HR and BTS.

But you did .
IN a thread about the trailer of the last david cage game, you're talking about david cage as "pretentious" .. so i'm saying what in the trailer was pretentious ?

But i'm not a fool , i know you can't answer this question.. since you were too busy attacking david cage instead of talking about what was in the trailer.

More people involved in the soundtrack.

And a journalist that enjoyed the demo.

The game and I guess Cage will be on Gamespot Live stage at 4:00PM on June 15.

I just hope it leans more towards Heavy Rain and less towards Beyond. HR was incredible when it came out (by far best facial animations in the industry). Beyond's story was so convoluted and poorly told that my friend and I just got bored and finished for the sake of it. We plowed through HR in one night + morning. It was that cool.

Beyond's problem for me was not the story but the fact that the consequences of your actions were far more limited compared to HR.
Also a detective story with murderers and some tension matches better with a gameplay based on the urgency to press difficult combinations of buttons correctly.
They tried to add some action to the gameplay but it wasn't properly executed.

With Detroit it seems like they want to expand on Heavy Rain.
I hope we'll get a demo soon.

I thik you obviously meant to say Detroit, Horizon is the GG game.

This game was one of my games of the show. I've always had a thing for David Cage games, and this just looks rad. I was hoping for a 2016 release date, but I can wait.

Story and writing is obviously going to be David Cage tier.

But if its consistent with that level of choices and outcomes during the whole game (and not just 2-3 key scenes) it could be pretty fun

I love these kind of games. Love Heavy Rain, love the "Butterfly Effect" stuff in Until Dawn and not this. Bring it, baby!

They haven't said anything about PSVR, as far as I know...? Would be cool, though. I wonder if the graphics can be as mind-blowing with the inevitable performance hit

They showed a screen right after the trailer ended that said like "Full PSVR experience"

Edit: just watched the E3 showing to confirm and it's there. Journos should ask Cage about this.

Playing this on Neo with PSVR will be crazy

Well I'm a Quantic Dream fan anyway, but so in after watching that demo footage

Extremely slick interface and I love how you have to pick dialog choices under pressure while also walking forward to the guy in real time but can't walk too fast or he gets nervous

This thread has left me ...confused. I've yet to play any Telltale games, any title by this devhouse and only recently fell head over heels in love with Until Dawn and Life is Strange. I'm absolutely starving for any other games even remotely similar, and this seems exactly that. I don't understand the massive amounts of negativity the trailer is getting. Feels like I'm missing some backstory with this studio.

Some people genuinely dislike their games because they consider the stories and dialogue poor and a lot more people either hate the entire genre (including Until Dawn etc.) or the figurehead of the company, David Cage. The man was quite outspoken in the past about his unique view on gaming and through a series of misquotes, attention grabbing headlines and how gamers always react to stuff he became widely hated for no real reason and now stopped giving interviews. Quantic Dream is a good and honest company and you should probably play one of their past games to see if you are liking their take on this genre or not.

Also, the negativity you are seeing is a bubble in this case. A lot more people are actually super pumped for this.

Ah. Thanks for the explanation. And yeah, I'm one of those people now. Incredibly excited by everything I saw in the trailer.

loved Heavy Rain

liked Beyond(had issues)

I can't wait for this game

I do remember that I played Beyond's demo in 2013

will not surprise me if we get a demo soon.

edit: dragonbane is there a link for the footage? holy shit those graphics

I hated every David cage game because by the end they all have gone so far off the rails of stupid that it's unbelievable.

It especially pissed me off in heavy rain which had so much potential.

Saying that, I really really hope this game is good! I hope the additional writers keep Cage in check, because his overall ideas are great but he is incapable of pulling them off intelligently on his own.

I loved until dawn and I want this game to succeed, so I really hope this land out!

That dialogue was so hilariously robotic (lol) and on the nose. Who paid Cage to make a shitty version of Blade Runner?

Lol that was my thoughts exactly when I first saw the trailer. I mean I'm sure there's more to it than that, but this trailer did so little for me when compared to the reveal trailer.

Lots of cool art, great visuals and seems to have atmosphere; my only problem, as with most Quantum Dream games, the writing. It's pretty cringe.
