This is what I have been saying, probably like many other reasonable people... But many focus on the 120fps mode, instead of the other modes where the games run within... Almost nothing.
computing of early last gen, when MS oversold their products, yet people cling to Phil's every word like it was gospel (I'm not religious, but you get the idea).

Where do I talk about that, the relative closeness in the other modes is what surprised me the most.

The part that has me convinced the most(in this section from 3:14 onwards in the video) is that even though the camera on PS5 looks to be behind, by the time 3:25 is reached the background wall shadow creature shape movement is triggered in sync on both views - which it shouldn't if the ps5 is behind.
In what world is being better in the 3 modes that most people will be playing not the Series X showing it's better?
So it runs and looks better on a shitty unoptimized port of an old game by developers that seem to have problems with xbox hardware (no RT on Series S yet other games have it), but that's not enough?
People are guessing it's the APIs, but that makes no sense since there are plenty of better games that run at 120fps just fine. This games performance is a mess on both consoles. In 3 of the 4 modes it's better without question on the Xbox. In the 4th they've obviously stuffed up the xbox version.
What about it? Screen tearing isn't a symptom of "bad APIs" or anything like that lol. Did you think that this gen would not have locked framerates for everything with zero tearing or something?
It could be anything, but the fact that other more demanding games work flawlessly at 120fps says it's not the APIs.

So some people keep saying, yet the framerate and tearing video that we have a thread about here has a locked 60fps and zero screen tearing. We also don't know how it plays on PS5, so the Xbox version potentially having some minor tearing somewhere is irrelevant at this stage.
Yeh it's hilarious because before this all the talk was about how the patented cerny magic ssd and zero bottlenecks would make games run better on the PS5, yet now they're all celebrating only losing by 10% on average lol.
The funny thing is, i said on here a couple of weeks ago, i think in the Watchdogs thread, that if there was one launch game that i thought would probably be better on PS5, it was Devil May Cry, simply because of how little effort a lot of Japanese devs put into the OneX versions of their games, and yet even this game is better on XSX.
I think has has to do with people saying it is going to kill the PS5. I don't do warring but from the outside looking in, people like you are interesting to watch. The PS5 didn't get blown out and the are pretty identical considering the claimed advantage.
