I started the game tonight and it's like create a new character, I was like wtf is this? But it seems like everything is where I left off from on my original file. I guess I have to make a new one or I won't get any seasonal stuff?
 
Started a barb and it was slow going so switched to Incinerate+Wandering Death beam(stronk) Sorc. Much better to start but I do want to go back to WW eventually. Probably once I juice the wandering death beam some mo.

I ended the night at paragon 110ish and up to Torment 2. I probably could be in Torment 4 by now, but half the time I spent powerleveling my other friends up to 60 so they could catch up to me.

The new season is...okay? It's probably super boring if you're tired of doing the same thing because it's mostly the same thing, but if you haven't played in a while, it should be entertaining for at least a week or so. The new incursion activity is basic AF and isn't very engaging gameplay, and it's too bad that it's only one of two ways to get the seasonal currency.

Might take you up on that offer in a bit if you're around. Meant to level up tonight before I head off for a few days but had a non medical emergency so now I'm driving 80 miles to take care of something in 15 mins and then driving right back :/

Cool. I'm not sure what time zone you're in, but I was planning on playing tonight around 9pm west coast time.
 
Batte pass tokens have been fixed, or are being rolled out. I got a refund for the premium token that unlocked the battle pass bundle, for all 3 reliquaries. It could also be saved for later.
 
Got a Light Spear Sorc done for reasonably quick T2 farm. Gear for Death Trap Rogue is a bit demanding.
Tempering seems even worse for Ancestral gear? Maybe RNG is mad at me. Too many repeat of the same unwanted affixes in a row.

Currently chilling on T4. Found 3 mythics so far - Shako, Andariel's, and Doombringer, so I switched to Death Trap and that's very strong.

Got only a shako from my very first boss, Beast in Ice. Not sure if it's a guaranteed, but it was really useful. Survivability with it gets a big jump, and it's great for leveling alts if not getting a carry.

Maybe they won't nerf the process since the ashes give you 20% increased rep gain. Maybe they knew players were dropping before getting to end game and this is a way to get them there quickly?
 
Got some decent Death Trap gear yesterday, and it's a bit different from last season, plays like the WoL Monk from D3. A bit squishy but 2 glyphs are still at 15, and gems also not good. Few things survive after the first trap hits.
 
I'm blasting on a death trap rogue, the build is severely overtuned. It's just good at everything and is giving me major season 6 spiritborn vibes. It's probably not as incrementally more powerful than other classes as release spiritborn was, but it's too good at all types of content so it's kind a one size fits all build.

I have been SUPER unlucky with mythics. I've run probably ~200 T4 bosses and haven't gotten any from drops. I've crafted a couple and got one from a resolute tribute in undercity, but haven't gotten any of the mythics I actually want :(

Mostly yeah. There are things like a new cat mount and portal in the paid reliquaries, on top of the ones in the free belial reliquary. Depends on how much you like the themed skins for all classes. Ive already got custom skins for my 3 characters (Spiritborn, Rogue, Sorcerer), but I guess theyre nice to have if you play a new class.

Having a great time but levelling is slow as hell. Im getting paragon points way slower from what I remember, from before the recent changes. You used to get 4 points per level. Roughly 1 paragon per nightmare dungeon, more or less. And now Im playing for hours, and barely levelling up paragon and Im at 211. Its gonna be a long haul for 300 lmao.
 
The game has improved quite a bit on my desktop (3080 10GB). Previously there was a lot of stutter and textures on anything other than Ultra were lacking in comparison to the PS5 one. But Ultra was unusable due to only 10GB VRAM, too much swapping. It's not available anymore in the options, for me, even after installing the high res textures. I noticed they have been reworking a lot of item designs, my preferred look for the Rogue is not the same, they added some shoulder things on the body armor (Strider's IIRC), so they are probably re-compressing stuff to use up less memory. Also, some effects get lost when the screen fills up with traps lol. On console the frame for enemies and effects get lowered like a stop motion sometimes, but on PC I didn't notice it.
Now while I get some stuttering at first, it settles up and gets smoother to the point it's fine to me.
 
The one shots in this game are overtuned for the majority of the players, I think. I'm fine because I have 30k life and regen 100% of my life per second, but that's because my build is stupidly strong lol.

I see too many other players get one shot when they probably don't need to be. I'm all for challenging games, but the challenge needs to be fair, and the way these power slam boss moves are designed don't feel fair to me.
 
Its a fine line between success and failure, sometimes. Im working my way up the torments and at T2, and even at Lord Zir now Im getting one shotted. While I easily got him down on T4, way back many changes ago.

Pit tier 32, almost passed 35 but it feels tougher. Maybe a good thing, that T4 is tougher to reach. Putting my faith in paragon points will make a difference, Ive got a few bonuses not working because of low stats.

I put the Earthen Bulwark rune (ZanQue cast ultimate twice and get barrier) on my Death Trap Rogue. 30k life + 30k barrier means I have an effective life pool of 60k :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I wasn't puzzled by it per se, more like I acknowledged that it's a problem for most people unless you go to extreme mitigation solutions :messenger_grinning_squinting:
 
Last season I think the only thing that was able to kill me was Lilith's things. And I think I was able to get hit by the waves once? The most op I ever was, next to the first time the Light Sorc was meta. I think I had the best amulet in the game, all GA.
 
I haven't played the game since launch and the berserk Collab got me interested again. Some of the armour sets are really cool, but then I saw the prices. 30 euros for a single skin? Limited time? They really are taking the piss. Probably uninstalling again, kindly fuck off.
 
6 items x 2800 platinum = 16.8k for the whoøe Berserk collection. And no sorcerer, druid or spiritborn armor - yet.
