Probably already been brought up, but I think it's worth doing all strongholds just to avoid this damn issue. Every time I run an escalating NMD and I get a dungeon in an area locked by a stronghold, you get insta ported out to the stronghold and lose all progress.

I'll say it again - Rod Turd Ferguson is a plague to games. He fucked up Gears under his reign, took a dump in Diablo, and wherever he goes next expect it to be ruined.
The devs now have a good model for success for a year or two before they could work on a potential Diablo 5.
The concern I have is at the end of this expansion I didn't see a tease for what comes next. Which makes me think they may already be working on a Diablo 5 if that article a while back is true they want to make new Diablo games more frequently.
I'd like to get one or two more expansions to set up a D5, and fight another prime evil or an angelic threat.
If we get a new expansion or two just focus on 2 classes per, expand on skill tree a pinch more each expansion, and keep doing what they are doing with seasons and keeping the end game to not be 400 seasons worth of bloat.

It does feel like D4 will not have him. Mephisto was epic.
It makes sense because if D5 is say 1-2 years away putting him in now to fight him again or be teased for years in D5 again would be a folly.
I personally would like a lesser evil focused final expansion, then D5 is set up to fight Diablo proper, perhaps the return of nephalim, and then end it with the true final boss being Baal or some new prime evil on the level of Diablo, but Baal is an expansion boss.

I don't think there needs to be a set up specifically. D2 didn't have one. D3 didn't have one. D4 VoH was the only expansion that had a cliffhanger, and that went very poorly and limited their options for what they could do next.
The next DLC expansion for D4 is wide open, in terms of potential story. All they need to do is create a new plot, and slowly introduce that with lore in the upcoming seasons.

I don't think Amazon is possible now after this expansion and the classes/kits we have.

finally beat meph on t10, chains build lock is somewhat tanky. hell fracture was a glass canon

I got past the first phase, then got 1 shot and gave up for now. I'll try other builds or a Rogue.
I have a hoarding issue though.... my stash is full of trash
