Difficult words you've encountered in a video game.

Ether. I was 11 or so when I first got Chrono Trigger and kept saying "ee-ther." To this day I have to remind myself that it's "eh-ther."
Also, I called Ryu "rai-yoo." I still have trouble overcoming this one.
And yes, Masamune is still "Maa-suh-myoon" to me (I know what it's supposed to be).

I'm pretty sure it's ee-ther.(Dictionary.com guys!)

SCREW YOU GUYS IT'S MAH-SUH-MOO-NAY, IT'S A NAME SO THE PRONUNCIATION DOESN'T CHANGE! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

eether sounds so much better!

I always pronounce it as ehther, I never even considered eether. '-_-

Also, when I was new to the internet and playing Starcraft (56k what?) I asked another guy a questions and he replied, "dunno." I thought he said "dino" (like the Flinstones). Fucking internet slang.

Dunno is not Internet slang. I'm pretty sure it precedes the Internet itself and I'm positive it precedes the Internet most of are used to.

Agreed on Phantasy Star IV's "wat" etc words. Impossible to remember what each did!

But also I was perplexed by the use of ...

ZWEI.

Still don't know how its pronounced.

The only difficulty I've had in terms of words are all the acronyms and faction names that Xenosaga throws at you.

(It didn't help that I played through Xenosaga II first...):lol

AGWS
UTIC
URTV
U-DO
AMWS
ES
GFG
SOCE
UMN

Kinda of sad I can recall what all those stand for and what they refer to off the top of my head.

"z-Vie"

where the Z is soft, sort of like the t in tsu.

Vermillion.

la-le-lu-le-lo

Serious question: WTF is la-le-lu-le-lo? I played Brawl, but never played Metal Gear Solid so I have no clue what it means.

I actually wondered what gaiden was as a kid, believe it or not.
I asked my dad what it was growing up. Too bad he didn't have a clue.

It's not an English word, so even if you were curious, you wouldn't find the meaning anyway. I saved myself a lot of headaches.

ra ri ru re ro

It's a row of the Japanese phonetic alphabet.

Actually, you got that wrong. It's not meant to be ra ri ru re ro, it's meant to be la li lu le lo, specifically because it doesn't exist in japanese. It's gibberish, junk data. It's meant to be nonsensical. It kinda loses something in english.
