Digital games you wish you could un-buy?

I bought Hitman Absolution for $5 off of Amazon the other day.

When I went to load in the Steam code, Steam told me I already had the game. That's when I remembered I already bought it for $10 on Steam a month or two ago.

I'm an idiot.

Far Cry 3 - because I will never play it again
Vandal Hearts - Because I have never been able to stomach the art style
Alpha Protocol - Because it is boring and devoid of all life
Braid - Because it is shit.
Pain - Because it is even more shit.

So all in, I've not done to badly.

Edit: Oh, and Limbo. Because
it is shit

Deus Ex: HR.

Thomas Was Alone - Game did nothing for me. More tedious than thought provoking.

Bastion - Narrator was annoying. Something about the game just didn't click with me. It didn't feel right.

Most recently, Trine 2. I see I'm not the only one. I just can't get into the gameplay at all; the combat and puzzle solving are both very unsatisfying for me. I don't even regret the 20 dollars spent as much as the fact that it's taking up some of the already scarce real estate on my Wii U.

Homefront. I have 400+ games on Steam, probably 250 of which I have never even played, but Homefront is the only regret worth noting. Don't think I have actually been pissed off at a game's story until playing that turd.

I don't care that I paid $50 for it...if I could remove it from my account I would.

Really regret buying Dirt Showdown. I really loved Dirt 2/3 but this game just sucks. Like all the worst parts of the series condensed into one game.

Red Faction Armageddon is the only full priced "I'm made a huge mistake" moment on Steam. Anything I'm not 100% sure about I will usually wait for it to be super cheap, and I don't feel too bad about buying them.

Assassin's Creed 3 I got for $20-25 I think a month or two ago, and I wish I hadn't paid anything for it. Worse in every way to the previous games (probably even worse than the first).

Most of the stuff listed here. This category started as a "Indie games I don't like" sorta thing, but quickly turned into my dump for stuff I don't like/am not interested in playing.

I'll wait for Indie Games Expert Toma to come through and tell me which ones are good.
Pretty much.

95% of indie games are shit. They're from bundles I bought for a single game and I end up either playing them for a minute or never touching them.

I bought both of these on impulse at full price with my five dollar a week allowance.

Super Dodgeball was $39.99. After I beat it in like two days I tried wrapping it in saran wrap and took a blowdryer to it in an attempt to reseal it. I then sent my friend into Toys R Us to return it. He came back with the game all ripped open, saying the woman started picking it apart as soon as he handed it to her. We were like 14.

The fact that you are on Steam and my game isn't fills me with fucking rage. It comes from a place of pure jealousy and the fact that you are a super shitty racing game with terrible controls and an aesthetic that looks fantastic in screenshots and GARBAGE in motion.

I fucking wish I could take you off my library. I'd pay money to do that.

So this thread is all folks regretting their hair trigger when it comes to downloadable games from this generation, yawn.

How about some games you were forced to play, due to your unimformed, full price purchase.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Because it won't run on my PC 'cause it's 64-bit. I've tried every fix online and none of 'em work.

The Walking Dead. Played through it once and never will again. The writing was good, but your decisions aren't actually that consequential, and the puzzles were just okay.

New Super Mari Bros 2 for the 3DS. Such a bland game.

So much regret. The giddiness from my brand new XL, the Club Nintendo double coins offer, and the recommendations of "nah man it's totally different than the other two it's really great get it" culminated in my worst purchase of 2012. I keep it on my home screen as a reminder of a lesson learned.

Sim City. Preordered it. Played what I could during launch week. Played on the weekends but the small city sizes just killed it for me. Not enough land and I filled my entire region up in less than 2 weeks.
