Changing TXAA to 20 makes a lot of alyasing on the screen, i don't like it...
The sharpness setting isn't supposed to increase the quality of the anti-aliasing but rather mitigate the texture blur associated with TXAA.

970 runs this perfectly at 1080 with this patch. 1440p is a no-go but I guess I kinda have to accept that, the days of 1440p on a 970 are probably behind this GPU for AAA gaming.
I don't get this. I have a i7 6700 with 980Ti and I cannot get a smooth 60fps at 1080p even with settings turned down to high.
He must have adaptive resolution on. I have a 970 and it's a pretty steady 60fps on high at 1080p with it on.
if I downloaded the 1.2 beta will the 'final' version that released earlier today still be available?
Even in the streets of Karnaca? I get intermittent drops down to high 40s just running around Addermire and that's an indoor level. Sure, it's mostly 60fps but even at 60fps it's not completely smooth feeling.
I have adaptive resolution on balanced and have turned settings to very high and high.
The final version didn't release today. The public build was updated, but only to bring it in line with the betapatch build, ostensibly to help the game's review score on Steam. 1.2 proper is still in development.
Edit: Those still running the betapatch build should switch back to the public build as it seems unlikely that the betapatch branch will be updated again prior to the release of 1.2 proper.

so the public build is now the same as the beta 1.2 patch?
So if I turn off the beta I will still get all of the improvements from the beta patch?
Precisely. That's all the patch was -- the two builds are now identical whereas previously the public build, which is the default build of every Steam game, hadn't been updated in roughly two weeks.
Yeah. You won't have to download anything, either, as the build IDs are the same.
So whats the deal. I have this on PC. Have a 980ti and 6700k. When is a patch dropping and will it be smooth? Havent started it yet.
Read post above you...
But that didnt answer my question? Maybe a patch release question but i want to know the state of the game.
I'm a little bothered by the white dots that appear all over certain ceilings and polygon seams.
It'sbetabetter. You should find the game playable at Very High settings, at least.
If you bought the game on Steam, note that time played in Offline Mode isn't tracked at present, so you could give the game a whirl while offline and see how you go without affecting your two-hour playtime window... although, if you pre-ordered on Steam, then the two-week post-release window closes in approximately two days, so either way you don't exactly have a lot of time to make a decision.
Was running reasonably smoothly but then got to Jindosh Mansion... sigh.
I just cannot tolerate the jerkiness while running around as rooms are transforming while being chased by clockworks. It makes for a dismal game experience and borders on unplayable.
I'm past the refund period but if you can still get a refund I implore you to. The game is still not running properly after two weeks and the publisher/devs need to get another fire lit under their asses.

Why do you need Ultra?http://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/dishonored-2-pc-performance-analysis/
Well, now I know for sure that I won't be playing this shite till 2018-2019, cuz I think that only then we'll be able to comfortably play it in 1440p (1080p is just not an option cuz in this resolution the game looks eye melting and absolutely terrible with a shit ton of aliasing everywhere) Ultra with constant 60 FPS using single GPU. What I mean is...well, we basicly need to brute force this fucking abomination by using much more powerfull and future hardware (hello Arkham Knight), cuz there's absolute lack of smart and capable people in Arkane to make this rotten engine work like id Tech 6. What a fucking shame.
Someone needs to delete every fucking id Tech 5s line of code to erase this shite out of existance and also erase from the memory of every living thing every bit of information about it.
It's not about Ultra anymore. 1080p is just eye melting and I've absolutely zero desire to play the game in this resolution because of the reasons I've mentioned in previous post. 1440p is the only viable option to play this game for me and there's no hardware that can run the game in 1440p with a constant 60 FPS from start to finish. Plus, if there's no visable difference between High and Ultra (I sure as hell don't see it), why in the fuck the game is running so god damn poorly on Ultra? There's absolutely no reason for this in this day and age, none, zero, and it's just downright inexcusable, especially after the world saw and experienced the new DOOM which is by a mile better in terms of visuals and runs like a beast even on low end hardware from 2013 for Christ's sake. Why do you need Ultra?

New patch soon ?
2 more of these 7gb patches and they reach the magic 1.0 version and finally pull it out of Early Access
with option 3, can a 970 hit rock solid 60fps in ultra @ 1080p?
with option 3, can a 970 hit rock solid 60fps in ultra @ 1080p?
How is it running on PS4? Are there similar problems or is it playable?
Thinking about buying it for a first playthrough and seeling it when it's finally fixed on PC...
This is the perfect example of a franchise losing any momentum due to it releasing as Early Access without telling anyone.
How depressing.
So 1 or 2 frames difference?
Nice patch, lol.
