Gonna have to try and sneak in a pledge from work at 9am east tomorrow for early bird etc.
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/08/26/divinity-original-sin-2/For their sequel to the extraordinarily inventive Divinity: Original Sin, Larian are seeking to elevate reverse-pickpocketing and other chicanery to an artform. The stand-out fresh feature in Divinity: Original Sin 2 is inter-party competitive questing, which should not only allow for diversity in narrative and objectives, but also allows the studio to build on the systemic simulation of the world. I spent a couple of hours playing an early build set in a single town last week, and while the new origin stories and cleverly branching subplots are the big news, the changes to crafting and combat are just as smart and exciting. For crafting, the big addition is the ability to combine skills, allowing for the creation of a stealth spider (stealth + spider summon) or a rain of blood (rain + blood; heals characters with a vampirism skill). That, in itself, is exciting. Theres a whole lot more to come.

Haven't played the first Original Sin, but I'm in for this one.
We're live! It's been super busy and nerve wracking but we're ready for a 35 day rollercoaster! Let's go!
Backed for 25$. Passed on the first one, not gonna make that same mistake.
I am curious though, is the first game going to be essential to play through to understand the second one?
I wish there was a way to back this and get Original Sin I + Original Sin II for PS4.In multiplayer, up to 4 players can play together, either cooperatively or competitively.
During competitive questing, youll pursue different plot-lines from other players, often because your personal motivations are in conflict with those of the party.
