Do women prefer buff guys?

Audible gasps at my theatre. Same with Caps getting out of his Vita-Ray cocoon.

I mean, I could hear actual sighs and gulping. It was that crazy.

But of course, when you are tall and gorgeous, massive pecs and traps are going to look great on you. I'd probably be some ridiculous creature with that kind of physique.

The nurse thristing in the background still gets me.

I'd take skinny-ass fassy over Thor or Capn any day of the week though. But I agree, tall and gorgeous face with chiseled physique are eaaaaaaaaasily deadly eye candy combo

I am going to post more gifs of Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Just because I now actually have a legitimate excuse to do it.
(Uh, just let me know if this is too many gifs for a post!)

(Obviously, not all straight or bisexual women prefer buff men!)

I'm a straight male, and Hiddleston makes me drool...

So would I. Fass body is "easily" achievable, lowish manteinance and looks good on everybody. Of course, he's a beatiful man, but it's the kind of body type that no girl would refuse. Incidentally, Paul Newman had a close tone when my avatar was snapped.

I'm currently going for a physique similar to Fass', but my love for ice cream is too strong...

Evans and Hemsworth look incredible, but very few people have the height, the looks, the guts and the money to get there, not to mention that kind of body is high maintenance as hell. They are walking archetypes.

I'm around his height or a little taller, so I'm gonna look damn good when I get all built like that. OK, not like that, but I'll still be built :P

One day... One day.

i don't think they generally like skinny guys(i mean skeleton skinny, i'm skinny guy)

I'll put on mass after i'm done school

I agree with everything you say here yesyesyes and i wish there's a spell I can do to bar you from ice cream >:O

Food is a great enjoyment and weakness of mine too, though. So I totes understand :3

Cap's pecs were ridiculous in the first movie. If I was a parent I would have shielded my kid's eyes.

It's not like they were snacks in Cap 2.

Fuck Chris Evans.

See, as a guy I'd take an ugly woman if she was stacked and had a big booty

Over a pretty fat chick

Distant strokes though
I'm currently on a petite mood (which is funny, since I'm dating a girl with a huge ass --something I don't like) and I'd rather take the chubby one as long as she's not on the unhealthy/actually big side. As long as she's funny, I'm game.

"Tall" to women is in the just above 6' range. Unfortunately you're above 6' 4", which puts you into the "Really Tall" category which is just intimidating and awkward. Go find the 1% of women who are above 6' that you can hug and kiss without having to hunch over like Quasi Moto. Otherwise you'll have to first show them you are not the hypermanly Norse god you appear to be but are actually a gentle giant just looking for affection.
I've never heard it put this way before. This is actually kinda helpful.

They're pharma enhanced and have pumps for shirtless or scenes focusing on them.

My friend has been cycling for a few years and says it's easy mode when you're on gear. Dude has the same build as Evans, but much more shredded, and barely lifts..

Has anyone here started lifting in order to be more appealing to women and have any success? If this thread is anything to go by, women prefer waxed men than anything else.

Edit: All the pics posted of "fit but not too fit" guys consist of men with under 10% body fat. Which is ridiculously tough to hit. They're borderline under-fat. I guess women have just as skewed image of beauty as men do.

My house mates have a thing for Mr Darcy and Mr Bingley from the pride and prejudice tv show. We watched through it recently and i must say considering the hype i was expecting more from the 'lake scene'.

Well, I don't.

Prefer A-B cup and big hips

Internet high five. I've always been a legs and butt man myself. Breasts are kinda just a bonus.

The Newman pic is pretty much the build that my wife prefers, I've noticed. I'm kinda sorta getting there. Abs are a bit of a problem though...seeing more definition in the gym, but I like Doritos and beer a bit too much to go full ham on them.

My current girl has complimented on my body (5.7/170 cm and 160lb/72 kg; hardly huge), but she also said that under no circumstances I should try to embiggen my arms or go for the fully buff look. I still want to get some actual shoulders, though...

were about the same size (73) I was 64kg when I started training, a common complement I get lately from some of my female friends "youre so much nicer to hold on too now.."

lean build ftw

Every girl I have ever been with has said they like "toned but not muscular," whatever that means. Every single one.

I don't think most women know what they like. It depends on the man, and I don't know that they're as obsessed with it as most men think they are.

But I'll say that my wife and most women I've come across typically don't like what we in the workout thread would refer to as shredded. They'd say that's too much. Most women prefer dudes to look like underwear models where they obviously work out, but they're not in the sub 10% bodyfat range. Seem to prefer the range of 10-12%, which is still really hard to get to. Most women I've come across like their guys to look strong, but not close to bodybuilder looks (which most of us are in no danger of looking like, takes years of dedication to get there).

The cheekbones thing is weird. Strange noses, eyes and even inward foreheads are forgiven.

Then ladies, what about these cheekboner men;

Japanese homeless man, Cristiano Ronaldo, Beckham, Chael Sonnen, Solo, James Dean, Channing Tatun, Toshiro Mifune, Matthew McRenaissance

All men with prevalent cheekbones. Some are fit, some are buff, some are skinny. Could this be the secret? A lot of women attracted to visible cheekbones?

Reducing weight will make cheekbones on all people more visible, which maybe is why obese people are often not on these lists.

Well, all other things being equal, I think a majority of women would go with fit rather than not fit, or at least prefer traits such as height, broad shoulders etc. Lets not forget that there are biological imperatives at work here, as much as some people would like to elevate the human mind above its biology.

The vast majority of photos in this thread are of men with very low body fat and at least *some* muscle definition. I for one am shocked. I expected an equal number of photos of Chris Farley and Rob Ford.

OMG. I wish I could find the photo from The Winter Soldier where Chris Evans has just gotten out of the shower at Falcon's pad. I literally laughed out loud at how utterly ridiculous and cartoony he looked in that scene.

Don't watch The One with Jet Li. He looks horrid there.

Oh no. I'm afraid to look up the images. I remember seeing that movie in theaters, and I vaguely remember his awful hair.

I like it merely for the sake of being thrown around in bed because I'm petite. Its got nothing to do with wanting to feel protected or anything of that sort for me. But with that being said, I don't judge if someone doesn't have it. I'm still capable of finding someone very much so attractive without it or with it. Its not a kill all category if I'm trying to date someone. I'm more so about personality overall but I can't say I mind if a person is buff or not.

Noticed another thing, pretty much every pic so far has had the guy completely shaven. Us hairy bastards don't seem to be too popular.

Lacking hair allows you to show more muscle definition.

Again, this is largely cultural, but ALL the girls I've dated (granted, they are not exactly a cavalcade) have told me that they are fine with body hair as long as it's not unruly. The second to last one went as far as to say that she would feel uncomfortable dating a guy who groomed more than herself and the one I'm seeing right now straight up told me not to shave down there, but trim.

I've heard some pretty mean things about overtly hairy men coming from women (bear, monkey or boar are probably the least insulting descriptions), but for the most part, I believe this new trend is largely reinforced by males, just like the stupid fixation with penis size.

PS: And of course, a shaven dude without a chiseled body looks fucking ridiculous. Like a huge baby.
