Do You Eat The Muffin/Cupcake Liners?

Do they make edible paper? I'm sure that would be a better solution for you.

Actually, it would eliminate waste, too.

One time I had a muffin that I thought had already been de-papered, but it hadn't, so I got a mouthful of paper when I bit in. It was disgusting. Don't eat the paper, people.
 
I have never eaten the paper intentionally (won't say that's I'm meticulous about getting every last scrap off when it's sticking to the cupcake/muffin/whatever). When I was little I used to wad it up and chew on it until the flavor went away, but I never swallowed it.
 
Eating paper might be the most gross thing I know of. If I see someone else put paper in their mouth, my gag reflex kicks into effects. I don't know why, but it's just extremely unsettling.

On baked potatoes it might be a little weird as they're usually not washed/cleaned properly for baking. Not to mention "baked" for some people means nuke it for 2 mins. I never eat the skin when baked, even if I prepare it myself. I dunno, baked just means the inside for me. If roasted or boiled then it's different as you've most likely properly washed the potatoes with the intention of eating the skin. Some people even leave the skin in for mashed.

I thought everyone washed their potatoes if they planned on leaving the skin on o.O The only time I don't is when I peel them.

That's was what I thought was the case. Washing potato skins just seems like the thing to do when preparing them. Love the skins though, especially in mashed potatoes.
 
Don't eat paper. That's gross. I went to school with kids who used to eat paper just to prove they could. It was gross. OP, you're not a kid anymore. Stop eating paper. I don't care what its covered in, it's gross.
 
Weird. When people say, "Am I the only one that....", it's never true. NO, you are NOT the only one.

This perfectly illustrates my theory that if someone finds even one other person who does the same crazy thing they do, they will think they are not crazy. I even use it as an example. "You eat paper? I eat paper, too! I thought I was the only one." This doesn't mean you are normal. This means you are both crazy.

I can't even understand the chewing up of the paper. I'm a fat tub of goo, and the small amount of cake that stays stuck to the wrapper doesn't interest me at all.

OP, would you do this on a date?

I wouldn't eat a muffin or cupcake on a date for fear of bloating :P And not now of course, but previously I just didn't think anything of it. So I suppose it's good that such a situation never popped up :D
