or Hard/ clean line:

I've been doing a hard/ clean line up until now, but I'm starting to think a faded/ natural neckline looks better. Your opinions?

I consider a fade to be a neckbeard.

Kinda inbetween? I take a buzzer to it at my neck cause my beard grows down my neck a fair bit and looks lazy and unkept. But I don't shave it, just buzz, and it's still covering my entire jaw so it's still essentially a full beard. So idk what to call it.

Hard line under the chin.

I have no idea how I could realistically fade it other than just growing it as it grows so fast.

What.

How do you even fade facial hair. I grow a full beard in 3 weeks.

Have only been growing a beard for a month or so now but tend to keep it clean, fade doesn't look too bad though.

Only problem I have is that I have a similar beard to Jon Snow there but it's blonde, so you can basically see my chin through it :( (thin coverage at chin).

Yo blondie no one likes your blonde beard. Gross.

Natural till it gets too neckbeardy then I will shave the whole thing off or just my neck.

I've been getting gray hairs lately so I haven't really grown it out. And it's fucking hot. Maybe this fall/winter.

A blend of both, but I'm just stubble right now. When I had a massive beard I rocked the clean line for like 2 years but one day I saw a photo and it looked fake as fuuuuck. So I let it be more natural and it looked way better.

Yea, this is what I noticed about me the other day as well.

Clean ever since I started growing a beard about 7-8 years ago. I personally feel that having the beard extend down the neck looks incredibly lazy and unattractive. Kit Harrington gets away with it because he's, well, Kit Harrington, but for most people it makes them look like they don't care about their appearance, and that's not a good thing.

truth

Well that's not very nice, it's not that bad :'D

yes it is

gross

On topic, i clean up my neck like once or twice a month. So i guess I alternate. That said, the faded look really only works on very attractive people, and the hard line really only doesn't work when people do a shit job and trim it like a chin strap or something.

Faded. But it's hardly a beard. I always just let it grow for a couple of days and then trim it. Have been doing that for as long as i remember. It's out of pure convenience.

Clean cut looks a bit silly imo.

I kinda hope the hey-look-at-me-i'm-Jesus-now-hipster nonsense is over now.

Fade only looks good when you're between an actual beard and stubble. Unkempt sexy. Trying to do that with a beard you'll just look homeless.

Faded. If I didn't have the double chin, maybe I'd do a clean line. I have a few levels of trimmer, so I do an all over short buzz, then a shorter one from Adams apple down, then a close buzz below that

If I didn't shave the neck part of my beard, it'd keep growing down to my chest hair.

Clean line. Every time.

#Teamshaveitall, i just use my hair trimmer take the guard off and shave it.

I only keep sideburns (not too big to end of my ear no longer)

I consider a fade to be a neckbeard.

I think neckbeard is one of the worst cases of semantic shift. Neckbeard refers to when you are overweight and have so much neck fat that the fat hangs out and looks like a beard. Nothing to do with being unshaven.
