Do you guys ever get old video game music STUCK IN YOUR HEAD randomly?

Yes, quite often. The most frequents are Suikoden 2 Castle music and Ocarina of time's kokiri forest song.

Final Fantasy 9's title music as well (which I even reproduced with a flute almost instantly as it was litteraly carved in my brain, and I am not even a flute player...).

yeah all the time for years and years. I'll regularly catch myself humming, whistling, or tapping something from Castlevania I or Megaman 2 or Mario or Sunsoft or Thunder Force or you name it. All of that stuff is permanently etched into my brain.

The last couple of years I have been reverting to that awful catchy "there's a place in France" song as my go-to, however.

Also holy crap that Cheetahmen music is amazing.

Does this happen to you guys to? I demand tracks.

Just today bud, I was humming the tune to bases loaded, by Jaleco! Wow weird u asked.

ALL. THE. TIME. I am constantly humming old Sonic the Hedgehog tracks.
I usually do
Mystic Cave Zone,
Hilltop Zone,
and Ice Cap Zone.
(which by the way...one of the composers from Sonic 3 was in a band called The Jetzons and Ice Cap Zone is pretty much his track Hard Times and he was shocked as a non gamer to find out years later how popular this track was in Sonic)

Lately...I also hum a TON of ...
Freedom Planet's theme song
...because by God its what Sonic should have been.

Skull man stage from mega man 4.

Also THIS. Megaman 4 Skullman and Pharoahman were by God golden.

Additionally a track that never ceases to leave my frontal thoughts is the main stage select theme from an overlooked masterpiece called SHATTERHAND.

Entire Shatterhand OST

Stages are labeled, stage select is third and labeled as well. Listen to them all. Its like Megaman/Ninja Gaiden. Its incredible and the gameplay is equally great.

Sonic music haunts me. I haven't played a Sonic game in YEARS, but so many songs from 1-3 are catchy as balls. I start humming any given level weekly. It's terrifying.

Also, not game related, but the Indiana Jones theme song is going through my head regularly, too.

One time we went camping and my cousin and I played the Harry Potter RPG on the gameboy for the whole day.

Needless to say this song was burned into our brains for the rest of our trip.

That game actually had good songs.

Yeah, occasionally SMB, The Legend of Zelda or a few Street Fighter themes randomly start playing. Mostly it's just SMB though.

When I was very young I used to have audio hallucinations.

One I remember vividly was trying to sleep and hearing the desert land map song from Mario 3. It's not even a good or catchy song.

I went to the TV to see if I'd left it on. Nope. It just played over and over. To this day the song creeps me out.

So that's my Debbie downer story of an old song literally stuck in my head.

During the last three weeks of my time at Navy Basic Training, I had the menu theme for Metroid Prime stuck in my head. No idea where that came from, I haven't played it in nearly a decade.

I constantly have Mega man tunes and donkey Kong songs stuck in my head. Best part is I often forget it's mega man and wonder where I got the tune till it clicks, it's odd, but I don't play much Megaman, it's just a catchy little jingle

The damn Pokemon Center music all the time. To the point one time I was humming it at work, and the girl I worked with got it stuck in her head. And I'm pretty sure she never played Pokemon.

There's a song I think from either Banjo Tooie or Diddy Kong Racing that always pops up too, but until it pops up again I can't for the life of me remember which one it is. Most of the other stuff that shows up are Mario tunes from the old days.

Raiden II OST- Repeated Tragedy (Stage 1) (Arcade Version)

I played this game to death in an arcade in Italy when I was young. And I was very young, so I sucked, so most of the time I was playing the first level. Thus this tune. Those first few notes on the synth are enough to bring it all back. I heard the owner sold all the cabs a few years after I left and turned it into a gambling joint.

this is well made. is this 8-bit?

Super Mario Bros 2 Overworld

It's perpetually stuck in my head. On the train. During class. Eating dinner. On a romantic date. Great little tune though.

I also find the Super Mario Land 1/2 main themes get stuck in my head a lot.
