Do you own anything special?

Don't really own anything special. I usually just buy the cheapest versions of games or consoles. Only exception would probably be that PS4 Retro City Rampage physical copy that's apparently worth $150+ despite only costing $30.

I have a few fairly rare PSX games. Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Misadventures of Tron Bonne, and Ghost in the Shell come to mind immediately.

I have a copy of Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom (The Cross Generation of Heroes release) signed by Ryota Niitsuma and a copy of Scribblenauts signed by the 5th Cell guys. That's about it.

Purchased a Seattle Mariners edition Nintendo DS at Safeco Field.

Ok thats really cool. Didnt knew this existed!

Nothing that others aren't able to own, but I do have a bunch of Nintendo standees (one of the perk of working in a gamestore).

Outside of that have some rare-ish videogames (mint in box Earthbound and similar stuff) and game statues, mostly Zelda.

I haven't kept everything over the years, unfortunately (traded in Conker's Bad Fur Day for N64, so much hindsight regret). Still have a GameBoy Player (including boot disc) and the broadband adapter for my non-existent GameCube.

I own the World of Warcraft: Collector's edition.

Not only that, but it was signed by a bunch of Blizzard devs at the launch event.

Probably my most special gaming thing I own.

My grail, signed and sketched ipad, Death from Darksiders 2 by joe madureira (darksiders/battle chasers/xmen artist)

I have a signed lenticular sleeve by the creator of Big Bang Mini on the DS. He even drew me a fantastic little doodle.

I know it's nothing 'big', but it's special to me and that game was an underrated DS gem.

I have to admit that over the years and growing older, I tend to get rid of collector's stuff. My most precious and rarest thing that I own today is this baby girl!

Not that rare, I've got two or three of those around here somewhere.

I have an original preorder copy of Duke Nukem 3D signed by George Broussard and Joe Siegler.

I was on CompuServe chatting with those two guys the night Duke shareware was released. Later in life I moved to the Dallas area and had an opportunity to meet them at Gearbox's first Community Day, so I got them to sign my copy from all those years ago. Pretty cool moment for me.

Final Fantasy VII signed by Nobuo Uematsu
Chrono Cross signed by Yasunori Mitsuda
Soma Bringer OST signed by Yasunori Mitsuda
Koudelka signed by Hiroki Kikuta

Soul Sacrifice Delta Asia version (the rare one) with english language option.

Quite a few rare PS1/2 jrpgs.

I have a shikishi (autograph board) of a doodle of L from death note by Takeshi Obata

I actually canceled my Ni No Kuni edition (after it was obvious it's going to be limited), was short on funds.

The favorite collectibles I own are:
I like nice boxes (the Tekken one is actually kind of crappy, but I love Tekken).

Not really video game related but that's the only rare item left I own today..

It was rare for a while, but I think they did a reprint a few months back.

Nothing that special -

Uk Panzer Dragoon Saga
Uk Elminage Original (300 copies made)
JP Psychic Killer Taromaru (2500 copies made)
Every SHMUP ever released on the Sega Saturn

Elminage is the only thing there that's special, everything else is easy to get with enough money. I'm glad I got all the shmups before the prices really ballooned a couple of years ago.
Damn, I missed it :(

Not as cool as a 20th Anniversary PS4, but...

(As some of you may know, Trevor Goddard died in 2003.)

Damn, I did not know that :(, watching MK won't be the same now, that's way too young.

I've the Xenogears Perfect Works book from back in the 90s/early 2000s, and a nice Valkyrie Profile artbook too. I think those are probably the only reasonable rare or special gaming things I have.

Nintendo Power 100th issue Gold N64 controller. I refused to let ANYONE use it for years, but we've been using it for the past few since all the other controllers' sticks are complete shit. Part of me wishes I held onto it in mint condition and sold it, but it's a fun memento.

Signed copy of the boxed version of League of Legends signed by Phreak/Ryze/Rivington/Ironstyle/Bunch of other people along with Elementz/Cop and a few other pros.

Nothing that anyone else couldn't buy easily. And none of it is signed

This, but I love my collection all the same. ^^

Most valuable item I have (for the time being; prices fluctuate!) is the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition, think it's still worth $180~. Though my personal "Grail" item that I'll refuse to ever let go of is my copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy with the steel book case. I love that thing so much. It's not even all that valuable anymore, but it carries a lot of memories with it and still takes the title of "best looking" on the shelf.

Not really video game related but that's the only rare item left I own today..

Awwww. She's adorable. Good to see such a proud father! (Mother? Hope I got it right the first time, if not, sub the word ^^; )

I don't have anything too crazy:

Clayfighter Sculptor's Cut, loose. Hollywood Video rental exclusive. Something like ~10,000 copies ever existed. Bought my copy a decade ago for $20 and now it's pushing $300, loose. AFAIK it's one of the rarest N64 games if not the rarest (prove me wrong GAF)

Complete boxed copies of EarthBound, Mother 1+2, and Mother 3.

Moon Crystal for the Famicom, loose. Bought it in Japan.

I also have a bunch of now-expensive games from the NES to the GameCube, but nothing really noteworthy.

I also have a near complete Umihara Kawase game collection. I have complete copies of UK SFC, Shun Second Edition PSX, Second Edition Kanzenban for DS, Sayonara for 3DS, and Sayonara Umihara Kawase+ for Vita with mousepad and little figurine, and I bought the OST for it. I still need to get copies of the first version of the PSX game and the crappy PSP port. I also want to collect all the promotional materials and artbooks for the series.

Now for something with a lot of sentimental value, I backed the Katawa Shoujo artbook kickstarter and so I have that artbook. I didn't have much money at the time so I could only donate enough for just the artbook, but I'm so glad I have it.

Special editions intended for press for God of War, Jak II and Ratchet & Clank. I had press connections back then.

A signed Giant Bomb poster from all of the staff (post Ryan's death, sadly :( ), two Sam and Max posters signed by Steve Purcell and an authenticated Cold War-era Department of Defense metal fallout shelter sign.

I have a copy of Streets of Rage 2 signed by Yuzo Koshiro but aside from that, there's not too much else in my collection that's too outstanding.

When I was a teenager, I foolishly got rid of a lot of stuff that's now rare, but I did manage to hang on to one thing: an original run copy of Final Fantasy VII. Not the rarest gaming item out there, but it's what I have.

Diablo II box signed by the entire team, a SYZYGY Pong board signed by Nolan Bushnell, an ATARI Lynx signed by RJ Mical, and a copy of Ralph Baer's book, signed by him, when I visited with him at his home in 2007.
