Do you still buy regular fit jeans?

I'm a skinny guy so I stick with slim-fit jeans. They're the boxer-briefs of jeans - not too baggy, and not too tight.

This is usually the kind of look I aim for, although with slightly less "slack" in the ankles:

Never ever ever ever

Sorry, but if you're wearing regular fit light or royal blue jeans I'm judging you hard

(Unless you're hot)

:P

I don't normally wear jeans but when I do I get slim fit. They don't destroy my dick like skinny jeans and fit my athletic frame better. I mostly wear joggers or Betabrand these days.

I go with levis 510s. Only thing that sux with levis is that their sizing is so damn random. I can buy 2 of the same style and they both fit way different sometimes

Apparently looking nice and presentable is just there for attracting a mate. Once thats done there is no longer a need.

I got married and stopped working out and I started to feel like nothing in my life mattered

Now I'm back in shape and working out most days and I can look at the world and be like, well, the world sucks but at least I have pecs and delts and biceps and a six pack and can punch the world back in the face a little harder than I could before

Plus slim jeans look better on me again. Just barely tho, I got those tree trunk quads :'(

I go with slim fit.
Much more comfortable to me, and I think they look better. I'm not one for baggy clothing or excess fabric.

Yes.

Comfort >>>> Fashion

Being fashionable does not inherently imply being uncomfortable.

To answer the OP: Yes, I buy both slim pants and shirts. But even now many slim cuts are seemingly too big. I suspect a lot of designers are labeling regular fit clothing as slim. For work I tuck my shirt in so if I see too much of it stick out, I'm upset.

I wear what's comfortable for me. What do you think I should be wearing? I am not asking this in a condescending tone by the way so pardon if it sounds that way. I am asking honestly what should I be wearing?

I dunno but those jeans look on par with prison blues or something. Those take a one size fits all type of approach that just doesn't look good on anybody. I understand it makes shopping for jeans easy but they don't look good at all. It looks like they target heavy people with the gusset so I would only keep buying those if you require them. You can always spend an hour at a Levi's store and find a more contemporary style that's comfortable.

I have pretty huge thighs and legs. I am 5'9" and 195 so I definitely could afford to drop 25-30 lbs. The only Levi's I would ever consider wearing are the 501 selvedge made in America or I could wear 1791. I'm huge on American made.

Are you saying you're divorced?

Judging me for not being fashionable is fine

Because I'm also judging you for caring about "fashion" to begin with haha.

Even the more relaxed fitting ones on that site look really good to me even though I'm a slim. Might just be they have a better stylist/model but those look great.

I love it anytime anybody tries this on this forum.

You spend hundreds of dollars a month on videogames. (Not that there's anything wrong with that. Or with caring about the way one dresses.)

Rawdenim is completely unwashed and unprocessed, and as such will relax with wear by at least as much as an inch. Buy the size up if you're concerned with fit.

It's just that if I go up in size pants are always super loose around the waist but fit better in the thighs. That's why relaxed fit works for me. The ratio just fits my legs/rear more.

Can't fit in my slim jeans anymore:( They are quite expensive.
My waist size hasn't changed (28 inches) but my thighs are thicker due to all the leg trainings I did these years.

Those pants on the right are just a straight cut though. His legs quite obviously go in a straight line. A slim cut would be tapered like a carrot.

Maybe people should post pictures of what they mean.

I'd consider this slim fitted; this is pretty much how all my pants, jeans or otherwise fit. exception being suit pants but that's just a little more room due to the need to crease etc; the silhouette is basically identical. they may look on the skinny side, as you can see they're not tight at any spot, no bulging; just following along the lines of my disgusting human body.

No, ditched those years ago.

Current fashions trends are the fucking best right now, comfortable joggers, tapered fit jeans, soccer pants and running shoes are all anyone wears, and they all feel great to wear.

Haha, well, for one, I only wish I had that luxury.

Also, there's a difference between following fashion and "caring about how you look".

Boot cut jeans wearers are straight scum. You look like human trash. I will stand by my opinion. Convicted felon? We can make it work. Boot cut jeans. Nah bruh.

Man this shit gets me steaming though. Its like people who order a plain cheese pizza. Like are you 10 fucking years old? I don't care if its just fucking bell peppers or some shit but put some goddamn toppings on that shit. Fuck.

So let me educate you then

Oof, I actually like joggers but that is not a good looking pair. Waaay too much contrast between colors and materials for my taste.

Something like this looks better IMO

Anyway, as far as jeans, regular fit just seems wrong nowadays. Plenty of great fitting slim jeans out there, you just need to find the brand that has the best fit for you.

Bonobos tailored are my goto "pricier" pair that accentuates my butt best, though I wait for sales :3

I still buy baggy jeans. Sean Jean, Rocawear, Jncos. I can't stand when my jeans are suffocating the jewels, and I'm not a fan of denim hugging my legs.

Just as there's a difference between following video games and playing Madden and Call of Duty every once and a while.

People have different hobbies, interests, and points of knowledge and fashion is certainly no less valid than games or entertainment in general.

I went from baggy/loose to boot cut to slim fit. Never skinny.

I can appreciate some of the modern skinny looks but it's not for me. I like my style and it's modern enough and fits my age group. I'm never wild in style but I'm not conservative either. A good balance, I find.

I love joggers but I wear them either as indoor loungers in sweat/fleece type materials or casually outdoors in the summer with slip-on shoes like SeaVees or something, in twill/linen type materials.

Just not out to dinner, functions, work. That will always be slim fit pants or selvedge denim. Or a suit when called for, also of a slim European style. Body type obviously will play a role here. I'm 5'8" and hover around 155, athletic in build. Though not ripped or muscular by any stretch.

A lot of people saying their athletic frames fit best in skinny jeans... most fit athletic people I know could never wear them. Too much muscle mass in the hips and thighs

No less valid.

But usually far more pretentious.

I literally have those exact same colors, style, and fit in the 2 pics you posted. Had them for years and wanted to move away from the elastic cuff, over to the ribbed knitted cuff.

I like them, it just got a bit old for me, but i still wear them.

L o fuckin L

Haha you can laugh at that if you want but think about this.

Have you ever met a person who follows video games that cares whether or not another person follows video games? I haven't.

Yet every person I've ever met who follows fashion looks down on people that don't care about fashion.

This line of conversation started with me saying I judged people who judged me. I'm saying turnabout is fair play. That's pretty much it guys.

Thats not what pretentious means tho

Ok.

"attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed."

Fashion people are in general condescending to people who don't care about fashion. They follow fashion because they think it places them higher in the cultural order, and people who don't care about fashion are judged as being lesser. That's pretentious as hell.

Edit: my break time from family vacation is over, I hands for entertaining my view on this in the meantime.
