Do you suffer from bitchy resting face?

Yeah my natural face is a frown and I really don't smile very well. It takes a lot of effort to voluntarily smile and it just looks like a shapeless blob. My mom's the same way. Just unlucky facial structure I guess, but people are always saying to cheer up or whatever.

Yes.

The general impression people get from me is that I'm an asshole. Then they get to know me and realize that I'm only an asshole half the time.

Have asshole face for sure. I constantly get asked whats bothering me etc. and it drives me up the fucking wall to the point it becomes pissed off face lol

For some reason my resting face gives off an impression that I'm sad or something. It's even worse when I'm tired and people think I'm stoned.

Yep, got apologized to just yesterday by someone I interviewed for a class project-- "Sorry if I was being rude..." when they weren't whatsoever. I get people apologizing to me all the time haha. Easy to clear up, but probably means there are 50 for every 1 that just assume I hate them.

Yep, I have this. In my teenage years, I would be at a family party or something, and my dad would just tell me out of nowhere to "lighten up." I would just tell him that I am perfectly happy..this is the way my face is at rest. This went on for years, until he finally understood that it really was my natural expression, and not just teen angst.

People say I look drunk all the time.

Side note: college humor and funny or die always have good ideas and somehow end up making humorless shit.

I think so - sometimes I feel like I'm smiling during a photograph and the result is me looking miserable.

I don't think I do, but my brother does, some of my family hates him because he always look pissed off, but everyone who actually knows him loves the guy.

Haha I have a friend who has this so bad. She as to explain it to someone at least every other time we're out together.

Yes, all the time. I'll be reading and my SO will walk by "what's wrong? are you okay? Why are you mad?" Annoying as hell.

Out in public i usually make an effort to smile so people don't constantly assume i'm pissed off.

Yeah been told that i have a serious face. I try to smile more though.

Edit: actually avatar expression is what i have, thats partly why i took it

I always look sleepy if that counts. Even though this is a joke its funny that I see a lot of people like this a lot in place of work.

I honestly feel bad for a lot of women who have a bad, angry or bitchy looking resting face, especially if they like to be or want to be approached by guys in bars or whatnot. It can easily be the biggest turnoff and deterrent to guys approaching them, and unfortunately they might interpret the reason as something else (their body, general attractiveness, personality, etc.).

Yup. I'll rarely approach a girl with a bitchy face. Unless she is smokin!

Maybe for women it's the bitchy face, I call that my handsome face!

Classic! My ex always said that I make this kind of face while looking myself in the mirror, she called it my 'think i'm good looking stance'.

I'm having dinner with my ex tonight. She is still a friend at heart.

Milana is super cute!

Yea I have the asshole resting face. People think I don't want to talk to them in the corridors of work.

I also get the "Dude, what is wrong?" when absolutely nothing is wrong. And then they don't believe me.

"Are you angry."
"You look angry."
"Is something wrong."
"Do you have a problem."
"You don't look happy."
"You don't look like you're having fun."
"You should smile more." (the fuck do you want me to be, a clown?)

No goddamnit I'm fine. But it does makes me angry when people say that. People just automatically assume I'm pissed or something because I'm not wearing a permanent smile like an idiot.

Exactly. I hear this all the time. Oh ok let me convey false emotion so then you REALLY don't know how I'm feeling.

Not really, its caused a few problems at the pub for me haha.

My mate refuses to wear his glasses when we go out on the piss; he thinks that the glasses are a turn off for the ladies, derp. Ironically, he rarely pulls because he doesn't wear them. We'll be sat at a table or bar etc, he'll be there squinting, like >;/ or >;\ in some direction. Invariably, the person (or the amorphous, humanoid potato thing that he has been trying to decipher for the last five minutes) comes over and says What the fuck are you staring at mate? Have you got a problem? It has even happened in a restaurant. I've had my ass kicked because of this. Bitch (or bastard) face all night long. Fun times :(
