Nintendo has announced megaton games that weren't even rumored and were released just a few months later (Donkey Kong Country Returns of Wii).

I'm sure we'll see several announcements at E3 for 2015 games from a variety of publishers.

Absolutely. We still have Forza 6, the 3DS lineup for the second half of the year, possibly Horizon and Sony Bend's Horror Game, and a few Wii U games, maybe Animal Crossing and Metroid (lol)? We'll see next weekend, hopefully Fallout 4 actually gets announced this time. At a separate time, I'm hoping for a new Rockstar game: Either a new Red Dead or Agent (lol). Hell, games were announced at E3 and released 4-5 months later so the same thing could happen.

Battlefront will be cool. Gears is likely a 2016 title.

I doubt Wii U has much left to announce, at least in terms of major software. Nintendo's already confirmed around 10 or so titles. Fire Emblem X SMT still has to be revealed, but they'll perhaps save it for E3.

I'll be surprised enough if Starfox, Zelda, and Xenoblade make it next year.

Perhaps there's a Mario sports game or Animal Crossing, but I somehow doubt it and would hardly call them AAA.

Whats funny is animal crossing is bigger than starfox, zelda, and xenoblade now its up there with pokemon and mario.

For those mentioning delays, it's worth saying that a lot of these games that got delayed were PS4/XB1 titles. They were dealing with untested hardware and were trying to get as much performance out of the systems that could be gotten so everyone could get their precious 1080p or solid 30fps. Going forward, as developers become more comfortable you'll probably see a lot less of that.

seriously, though, because of various reasons, I will stop real quick to say what *I'd* do if they put me in charge of Metroid.

scenario A) make a game after the last game in the chronology -- Fusion -- And retain the Fusion suit, explore the X parasite stuff more, with weird new mutant powers and shit.

scenario B) origin story predating the full suit. no oversexed zero G suit either, but we would have an isolated setting and *an* (an) element of stealth and/or mobility in addition to combat options in order to approach things in different ways. Last quarter of the game acquire the power suit and get revenge on all the shit you've been running from.
