Do you watch the credits?

I watch them, if it was a bad game I usually don't make it that far. I like the added stuff when put in the credits or after and the music is almost always good in the great games.

Only if they bother to do something interesting during the credits. Same applies to if I watch movie credits as well. If it's just a boring name scroll, I bounce.

First time through? Sure. Subsequent times? Either skip them, turn off the game, or go and make a sandwich while they run.

If it has awesome music during, I do none of those things.
This.

Although I never skip credits that are interactive and slightly fun, Super Smash Bros Melee and Wario Ware Smooth Moves come to mind.

No i dont quite care to sit around for 8 minutes watching names roll by.

if there's anything cool in the credits, it'll be on youtube soon enough anyway.

Yes, always, those people put a hard work so I could get my entertainment, I like the idea that watching their names is a tiny gesture of anowledgement and respect from my part (as ridicule as it may sounds.)

Of course, there are better credits than other, I love the ones with a message for the player "Thank you for playing!" and so, it makes me happy. And I really love when developers let personal messages to their families and so, it´s really touching.

For some reason a game doesn't feel complete unless I've let the credits roll to completion.

Though I'll fast forward the credits if I can, and will get up and do other stuff occasionally.

Plus MGS3 made me scared to ever skip credits, given there may be more goodies at the end.

I always watch the credits, out of respect for the developer. It doesn't have anything to do with the fear of missing an easter egg.

I always do in movies, but in videogames I'm usually reaching for the start button, unless there's some excellent music, or something interesting happening, or the game was really good.

My respect to the developer was issued when I gave them my money for their game, frankly.

Any game with a main campaign/story mode I watch the credits. Always like seeing stuff on the soundtrack and voice actors and whatnot. Plus, can't miss those post-credit bonus scenes like you mentioned,

Of course. If you don't watch the credits, you haven't beaten the game. I'm the same way for movies, which makes it a pain to go see something with friends. Everyone is so impatient.

Every time. It's a combination of seeing a game to its "conclusion," reflecting on the game as I listen to the credits music, and to ensure I don't miss any post-credit zingers.

I like how Motorstorm:Apocalypse allowed each member of the team to write comments next to their names in the credits. That was pretty neat.

Didn't Epic do the same with Gears of War?

If I expect something after the credits (usually get this feeling when it's a good game) then sure, I stay and watch the credits.

Always, always, always.

Mostly out of worry I'd miss gameplay, cutscenes, information, unlockables or other content post-credits, partly out of respect to the creators, and usually as a way to let the full experience of the game sink in, most especially with longer single-player games (say, the FFs).

The credits roll after Final Fantasy X was over, with the last words before the roll, and the brief scene afterward, and Suteki Da Ne playing in the background, ah, it gets me every time. So beautiful.

Always. Even when I don't enjoy the game or replay them. I finished MGS3 about 16 times and watched the credits every time.

I just interested in who contributed in to making the game and to see any weird names.

yes, unless it's Activision's 30 minute credit sequences of doom listing every member of every localization/marketing/office staff in every country (I leave them running but do something else for a while).

That crap is the worst on COD (Goldeneye Wii had it too).

It's been a ritual for me to watch ending credits since Megaman 2.

Recently though I had to cut Dragon Age's credits short because they were going so long and I was seeing so many of the same names, I wasn't sure if they might have looped. You know credits are too long when the music stops and they are still rolling.

Always, to show my appreciation for the people behind the project. It's particularly nice in a game series where I've begun to learn the names of actors and devs (from watching behind the scenes / making ofs), such as Uncharted. It's a warm feeling.

And having played so many games on PS3 recently, you start to recognise the names towards the end of the credits too, where they acknowledge Sony staff from various places.

I leave them running but I generally use that time to go for a piss. I usually haven't emptied the bladder for a while when I hit the endgame.

Sure, if the music's great, like M4 Part II in Mass Effect, or if I'm expecting something story-related to pop up during the credits.

I've never watched credits for video games. I also skip them for movies as well. I can't say I've ever felt guilty for doing so. Even if later on someone tells me the super awesome surprise thingy that happened at the very end, I find I don't care. I've paid the money to consume the media so everyone gets a check, I don't care to sit through their names scrolling by.

Just watched the Infamous 2 credits. It was funny seeing in 3-4 minutes the names of the Sucker Punch dudes and then +15 min of Sony accountants and all the crap.

I not only watch them, I read them. I like to know who's responsible for the stuff I liked (or disliked) in a game, so I can seek out more (or less) by them.

Yeah, I watch the credits. It just feels right in the context of games. Games usually draw me in much more than movies and watching the credits roll is just a satisfying ending.

Yes, always. A nice time to digest the game and I don't wanna risk missing a scene or something afterwards. I do the same thing watching movies at the theater.

No. Especially if it's just rolling text, I'll skip them. If I can't skip them, I'll just forcibly quit the game via XMB.

Yeah I pretty much always watch them after beating a game for the first time. It's great time to reflect whether or not the game was worth my time or not and spot cool details.
