Do you wear any fragrances?

flowerbomb is pretty awesome, as is black orchid.

Haven't smelled either. Looking at their descriptions black orchid might have enough fruity citrus notes and warmth from the sandalwood and vanilla to overcome the soapy smell from the florals, but flowerbomb just doesn't sound like it'd be my type. I'll give them a sniff next time I'm at the store.

The thing with flowerbomb imo is that it isn't so much floral as it is being dumped in a ... bomb of flowers. Like in a hyper candyland kind of way.

black orchid is some naughty secretary shit imo. as is tom ford's nature.

only the best

Black orchid's description sounds very similar to my hanae mori #6 I posted earlier.

The hanae mori #1 kind of smells like being dipped in a warm vanilla berry cobbler. It's so good. Too bad it was limited edition :(

Going to have to check that one out. I usually rely on the cheapo musks that don't smell awful.

My perfumes usually run 65-80 bucks. It's definitely an expensive habit so I use them sparingly.

I know this thread is mainly for men's fragrances but I have a bit of an obsession with perfumes.
Oh, no, don't get that impression. I specifically said fragrances in the title instead of cologne to be more inclusive. Perfume talk is welcome, too! It's all the same thing, really.

I just wear chocolate scented axe. I'm not going out to any special meetings, dates, or anything huge so it's not like I need any high paying colognes yet. I just need something to make me give off a decent scent for a low price.

I used to back in high school, it was Curve and the girls I worked with all swooned over the scent.

Fast fwd to now, I got a bottle from the GAF Secret Santa I think 2 years ago that smells really good. I had to go check the label, it's Emporio Armani Diamonds. I don't really wear cologne anymore but if I'm dressing up and remember, I give my lower neck/chest a spritz, then wipe my wrists over it.

Actually that's a good point, ONE SPRITZ ONLY. over time if you wear the same cologne, you'll get used to the smell and won't be able to smell it or barely at all. I've seen men go overboard with how much they put on due to this and let me tell you, it has the opposite effect of what they want; it drives people away, gagging and coughing.

I wear cologne pretty frequently I guess. Got used to it in High School/College and now I wear it, even though I work from home and am alone most of the day.

I'll try different ones for daily wear, but I have three staples I keep for going out:

Cartier - Eau de Cartier Concentree
Chanel - Egoiste Platinum
Zegna - Zegna Colognia

I used to keep a bottle of Green Irish Tweed around, for special occasions but am currently out. Smelling good AND not like everyone else is cool. (or so I tell myself).

I'm a bit surprised that so many people don't regularly wear cologne. It's such an easy thing to do and every girl I've ever dated said they loved the way I smell. Of course, the wrong cologne has the opposite effect and is just bad. What's interesting is that I've even had guys comment positively on the smell. Currently using 1 Million fragrance.

I really enjoy the scent of Allure.

Tommy Hilfiger
Swiss Army
Curve

I used to wear Hugo as a teen, same with Lucky, Polo, and Polo Sport. Nautica cologne was great too. I just don't see it anymore.

I want to buy another bottle, but I can't find one at a decent price.

Always get complimented for using this
A lot of black girls love this smell

I have been tapped on the shoulder on many occasions for them to smell me, feels good man

Yes but not colognes. It'd be weird and I would be one of the few if not the only one in my class (engineering...). I do wear a nice deodorant though:

so much better than Axe. I do have a nice collection of colognes though: Hugo Boss Man, Davidoff Cool Water, Tommy Hilfiger and some rather unknown ones like Kistna or Aramis Herbal (very nice in winter).

Davidoff Champion and Diesel Only The Brave.

Because nothing says man fragrance like a bottle in the shape of a dumbell and a bottle in the shape of a fist.

Never.

My deodorant has a light scent and so does my shaving soap. Don't need anything else caked on, plus we have scent restrictions in my office (healthcare).

I used to use himalaya and irish tweed, both by creed, but my wife read that they use whale oil or something and we stopped buying that brand, now I use polo blue and tabac aftershave.

I swear by Hollister So Cal stuff, I'd say about 25% of the time I wear it I'm complimented by a girl for it.

Only the Brave used to be my go to stuff though, that's great too.

I bought A&F once and I never bought it again. The store sprays it on their clothes, so of course it smells great. When I used to wear a lot of cologne I ended up switching it up every other day, so I can't remember what got compliments or what didn't. I'll have to check out Hollister's cologne sometime. I wore American Eagle clothing and when you're a frequent shopper buying habits aren't so frequent. If I want cologne I normally go to the mall and go to Yonkers or Dillards. I miss seeing the combo packs and special packaging. I guess its because I don't wear cologne as frequently as when I was a teen.

costs around 2 bucks, smells "good" and you can get all the girls that you want!!

Suuuuuuuuure!!!! lol

Naaaah!! i use some polo blue shit!

It's not even that really. I just don't think other people need to smell me. Odor is a pretty powerful signal to send out and no matter how great you think you smell, someone is thinking the opposite.

I was out to dinner several weeks ago with my wife and a 90yr old woman sat down behind me and she bathed in that stuff. My food had just arrived at the table and it was so overpowering we requested a different table.

Everyone has a story like this about an elevator, car, subway, ect. where one person just stinks by choice.

I think shampoo, body wash, and other products are more than enough. Anything more than that and you should think of others if you're going to be in public.

I also have a co-worker that gets a migraine when she smells any of that stuff, so I'm also sensitive to odors because of her reactions. I think she does embellish a tad, however.

No scents for me. I use unscented soap/shampoo, unscented shave soap, unscented antiperspirant, unscented laundry detergent, etc. I don't want to force a musk onto anyone. I liken it to those assholes what blast their music while driving. They may think that they are sharing their awesome music with the world, and that they are broadening perspectives, but they are just douchebags. No one else wants to be subjected to your noise, and I don't want to force myself onto anyone's nose.

I also find artificial odors to smell, well, artificial. I don't understand how anyone can like cologne or perfume, and not think that they smell like a chemistry set.

I also get nasty migraines from that shit.
